Constance nodded at Altheas explanation at his forced promotion. It was a strange thought, being forced to move up in your occupation. She figured most people would do it on purpose, but considering the situation it made sense. ”I see. Does he seem...” she almost asked if he seemed happier now, but it was clear due to things they had already discussed that he wasn’t. Constance reworded her question, ”Does he seem better suited for his current position, though?” she asked.
”Lose it all? As in his mind or more temporal things?” Constance asked. She felt bad asking so many questions, but she honestly didn’t know much about the headmaster. She had never made it her point to really care, until the school killings started. That was when Constance realized that she didn’t know anything about the politics and positions of Hogwarts at the moment. She watched as Altheas assistant brought in a note and listened as Althea explained it. Constance laughed at the notes contents, ”What a cowardly thing to do. Perhaps if they want to speak to you they should respect what your have to say.” Constance rolled her eyes as well. What a silly thing for an apparent adult to do!
”I’m sure he’ll be around. I’d love to bring him up here to meet you,” Constance smiled. The truth was, because of her parents being muggles, she didn’t really bring people around to meet them that much. Sure, they were proud to have a witch for a daughter but she didn’t want to overload them with the wizarding world. They had already seen so much during her school years. Of course Constance would introduce Rob later on, but it was nice to look forward to introducing him to Althea sooner.
”Oh Althea...” Constance shook her head, ”The situation sounds... complicated. Perhaps he just needs time. A lot of it.” Constance really had no idea how to console or help her boss, she was just good at listening.
