@karney
Clodagh hadn't expected on returning home in her... state. It wasn't exactly the homecoming she'd wanted. She'd wanted to come back with a.... well reputation. As a well known and published author. That was why she'd left in the first place! Why after graduation she'd struck out on her own and been traveling for the past seven years! But here she was, no finished books, definitely no published! Returning home, with one nasty curse from a vengeful witch doctor, ad an inability to tell anyone unless they figured it out. IT was part of the curse, apparently. Every time she'd tried to tell someone, her throat had just locked up in her throat and no sound had come out.
She'd written all her siblings upon her return to the country, and today she was meeting up with Karney, the oldest of the Fitzpatrick children. She hadn't seen her brother in years, so she was.... well excited to say the least! So excited she hadn't dropped her luggage off at the Leaky Cauldron yet. Suitcase still in hand, she stepped off the train, having decided to take the more scenic route to Hogsmeade instead of appariting. He'd be meeting her at the station, and then... they'd probably go out for drinks or sweets or something. She wasn't sure. But she couldn't stay long. With his schedule, his afternoons and evenings were free. But with her..... predicament, only her afternoons were. She'd need to leave before the sun set, and make sure to be checked into her room at the Leaky Cauldron with plenty of time to lock herself in for the night. Either way, her suitcase in hand, her eyes scanned the station, before settling on her brother, and she grinned. Immediately she ran to him, setting her suitcase down before she threw her arms around her older brother in a tight hug. "Karney, you devil! How are you?"

@emma he was pacing. he didn't pace, not normally. but this was a special occasion. his sister was coming home. clo. he hadn't seen her in years, what with his work and keeping his kids alive and her travelling the world like she had always wanted to do. so it wasn't a bad thing but he had missed her so much. he ran his hand through his hair as he waited. he wasn't good at this waiting game. he was normally a patient person but he doubted anyone would believe him at the moment, the way he had worn a hole in the platform as he walked. "Karney, you devil! How are you?" he heard her before he saw her, and her arms were tight around his waist before he had even realised she was there. weird. he grinned wide when the shock wore off and he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "clo! i'm great! and you? you look so great! you grew .. how did you grow?" he asked as he touched her hair and looked down at her. she had changed in the last few years, but change was good. so long as it was for the better.

Oops. She'd sneaked up on her brother. That was a bad habit she'd developed. Sure, she was a clumsy creature, but since she spent half her time trying to avoid detection.... Well, her sneaking ability had somehow transferred to her human form. When he finally seemed to register she was the one hugging him and returned the gesture she giggled a little. A moment later and she finally let go of him, taking a small step back and made a face. "Grown? Maybe a little, but that was right after graduation." She noted. Most girls stopped growing at 15-16, but Clo must have grown just a little more when she was 17. Heaven forbid it had to do with her forced transformations.... Her grin almost faltered. She shouldn't be thinking about that, he'd notice any change in emotion too quickly. "I'm good! Happy to be home, of course. I've missed all of you so much! How are my favorite niece and nephew? They're fourth years now, right? Or is it fifth?" She had to stop and think. She hadn't seen Karney's children since they were children! To think they were teenagers!
(you tagged the wrong sister, hahaha.)

They're fourth years now, right? Or is it fifth?" he laughed a little and shook his head. oh he didn't want to tell her that his children were fourth years. that meant they were fourteen. it had been fourteen years since they had been tiny little creatures that he'd been able to hold in his arms. now his son was almost as tall as he was and his little girl was almost the same age as their youngest sister. it was scary for him. "fourth years. don't make me older than i am!" he teased her as he moved to grab her bag. "are you hungry? we can go get something to eat"
( did not ... )

@karney
Clodagh laughed at her brother's immediate correction. Fourth years. It was hard to believe the twins were that old. They were only four years younger then Emma, the baby of the family. And Karney, he was a teacher at Hogwarts. That was so strange to her. "You are old, Karney. Don't forget that." She teased back. Karney, being the oldest of the children, was almost ten years older then her. Likewise, the twins had been born when she was just starting school. She hadn't felt like an 'aunt' at first, and even now she knew she hadn't been much of one. She hadn't been around for half their life after all. She'd just been the aunt that wrote. Only really there in letters. That was going to change with her being back in Europe. "Starving. Have anywhere in mind?"

@clodagh "Starving. Have anywhere in mind?" he nodded and held his arm out to her for her to take if she so inclined. he was starving so pretty much anywhere in the village would be good. but the three brooms sticks would be their eatery of choice today. "it's a place called the three broomsticks" he said as he walked out of the station with her and he took a good look at his sister. something was different. he couldn't put his finger on it but he was sure there was something. and it had nothing to do with the fact she had been away from them in the last four years. "so how have your travels been?"

Clodagh grinned as he held out his free arm to her, his other hand carrying her luggage. She was more then okay with that arrangement! Immediately she looped her arm through her brother's and matched his pace, keeping next to him as they walked. "I know the Broomsticks." She countered quickly. "Unlike you, I went to Hogwarts, remember?" She added, teasing slightly. Out of all the kids, it was the girls that had chosen to attend Hogwarts while the boys had chosen to be homeschooled by their parents. "Good! Never really stayed anywhere for long, just followed wherever my inspiration took me." Like that wind. That was Clodagh. She'd always been wandering off when they were kids. Her and Cullen. And when she'd come back, or her parents finally tracked her down she would have the most fantastic stories to share. Mostly fiction, of course. She'd always been a story teller, and she followed the story. "What about you though, professor. How's teaching?" Her gaze was everywhere as they walked, taking in the familiar streets and shops of Hogsmeade. It'd been years since she was last year, but it hadn't changed a bit. It made her smile.
