@magdalena <3 "Sure, sure..." He wasn't going to argue about it. Pudding was gross, many things were gross, and they'd probably argue all night about different foods if they were given the chance.
He shook his head, "Problem not solved, Magdalena Ollivander! However strong our feelings and emotions might be, he will feel them. So as long as he's here, we will have our chastity belts on." Finally the water boiled, and Nikolai placed the spaghetti in the pot and put the cover on it. Thankfully it would be ready soon, he was getting hungry.
Nikolai didn't mean to. He really didn't. But the laugh that escaped his lips was one he could not hold in, not after her comment about becoming a mammoth. He immediately brought his hand up to cover his mouth and shook his head taking a deep breath. Nikolai went and sat down next to her on the couch. "You will not become a mammoth, Magdalena. You'll just grow a bit extra hair. And your hair here," He ran his hands through her waves, "Will become even more luscious then they already are."

Magdalena groaned as he shot down that idea too. "But he won't be anywhere near us! Doesn't it have some sort of range?" Obviously they didn't have sex every day, so going a few days without it while Dan stayed at the house wasn't bad. It was just the idea that they had no choice in the matter that bugged her. It was one of those things where the moment you couldn't have something you craved it.
And he was laughing. Hysterically. Magdalena scowled, but her face was still beat red, despite all her attempts to get the blush to go away. Well, at least he was getting a kick out o her sudden and extremely uncharacteristic embarrassment. "Wooly mammoth." She corrected immediately. How was he so calm about it?! Apparently her body was going to go insane, and try to give her a coat of hair! Okay, maybe that was an overexageration, but still! Body hair! "How about this then, you can take that side affect. I don't want it." If only it was that simple.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai shrugged. That is what he had assumed in the beginning as well, as he had never really gotten to that part of Dan's empathy with him. It was personal and Niko hadn't wanted to intrude, but after the last time Daniel stayed over it was not something they could avoid. "He told me there isn't a range, the stronger the emotions, the more he can feel them."
Magdalena was definitely set in this whole wooly mammoth thing. It was amusing, but he could tell how embarrassed she was, as shocking to him as it was. Nikolai brushed her cheek with the back of his fingers and smiled. "I love you. I'll always love you. And while I can't do anything about your hairy body, I'll still want you around."

"Well, he has to have some sort of range, otherwise we'd never have any alone time... And he would have known about us a lot sooner." She raised an eyebrow and him and smirked, as if silently daring him to argue that point. She liked her alone time with Nikolai, and she wasn't going to let Nikolai's best friend put a damper on that.
Magdalena glanced back at the book, slightly glaring at it. Why the hell did crazy things happen to women's body when they were pregnant? And she had to read the book... And find out everything that might happen to her. Every. Last. Detail. She turned back to look at him though when she felt the back of his fingers against her cheek. Her blush was starting to fade just a little, and she chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Sure you can do something about! Make sure to get wax sometime." She was serious too.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai just ignored Magdalena's comment. He wasn't going to have a repeat of that night with Daniel. He refused. And whether she liked it or not, he would not do that ever again with his best friend around. She could beg all she wanted, but she'd respect him when he said no and he would make sure of it. All he did was turn his head, not looking at her and not saying another word. She'd get it...eventually.
Niko's eyes widened and his face was in complete horror. Wax?! Oh no, no no no that would not happen. Didn't that hurt? She wanted him to wax her entire body? Nikolai would never do that, never. He blinked a few times, unsure of what to say, but then he shook his head. "No, Magdalena. I will not get you wax, and I will not wax you! Just deal with it, it's really not that terrible. You're overreacting, I think." Nikolai knew body hair wasn't the best, but it wasn't going to change his opinion about her.

Oh, Magdalena started to grin as she saw that horror struck look of his. Why did she enjoy tormenting and riling him up so much? It was just so much fun! In many ways, he was so naive an innocent. "I didn't say you had to do it, just get it. I've done it before." Was that a surprise? Not really. Former 'exotic' dancer, remember? "It's not that bad anyway." She shrugged nonchalantly. She barely even felt it anymore. And she liked.... Well, looking good! She cared about her appearance. But if it freaked him out that much. "Fine. No wax."
She glanced back at the books she'd set aside. "I'm guessing there are other equally annoying side affects? " She asked, taking a moment to look back at him then. He was the one that had read, or at least skimmed, the book before now.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai scoffed at her. What was she thinking, wax? She was crazy! He would never want her to do that, she could shave, or just leave it as well. Waxing was painful, and Nikolai didn't think he'd be able to bear watching or even hearing her do it. It made him shudder just thinking about it. "Oh, Magdalena, thank you. Hairy or not, you'll still be my Olli." He rose an eyebrow at her and winked.
She questioned more about the books and he nodded. "Yes, there are more. But, this hair thing is probably going to be the least of your worries." Nikolai chuckled. When she read about child birth, now...that would be fun. He kissed her forehead as he stood up and went back into the kitchen, throwing the pasta into the boiling pot of hot water and mixing the sauce once more.

Magdalena returned that eyebrow raise. "I'll always be your Olli, but that doesn't mean I want to be hairy! You should love me for me, but I wouldn't mind if you were a bit more concerned about my appearance." She teased lightly.
The least of her worries? "Great." What could possibly be worse? But hey, she had months to figure out all the wors- Oh god. She knew what he meant. She knew what would be worse, and make this whole thing the least of her worries. Again, she didn't know much about babies, and pregnancies. She knew the whole 'child birth' part wasn't pleasant. Far from pleasant. She sighed as he leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. An adorable, and sentimental act that made her smile once the sigh was out. Once he was back in the kitchen she pulled the book back to herself and flipped it open to a random page. She lasted only a few minutes before a picture freaked her out enough to make her shut it again and get off the couch to follow him into the kitchen. She silently stepped up behind him as he stirred the sauce and wrapped her arms around his waist, her forehead pressed against the spot between his shoulder blades. "Do you think we can do this? We're... We're adults and all, but my parents were at least in their twenties when they had my brother..." She still felt so young, and thinking that they were going to be parents scared her to death.

@magdalena <3 Nikolai just grinned at her eyebrow raising. Of course he cared about her appearance, but her being hairy wasn't something he was concerned about! That was all on her. Maybe he'd be concerned if she looked like an orangutan, but not just a bit of extra hair on her body.
As he was stirring the sauce, and watching the spaghetti cook, he heard Magdalena shut the book again and put it down. Nikolai knew it was going to be difficult for the two of them to read the books, but they were going to have to. And Nikolai would make sure of it. He needed to be as ready for this as he could be. Her footsteps were heard directly behind him, but he didn't turn around, just continued mixing the sauce, and then her arms were around his waist, and her head was on his back. Her question surprised him; it was probably the most honest question she had asked in awhile. "I think...I think that we can do whatever we put our minds to, Magdalena. I think it will be hard. I think we will have bad days and good days. But I think we will love this child, and we will take care of it, and that is what is most important."

Magdalena tightened her arms around his waist a little, to pull herself closer to him as he cooked. His words made her smile. Neither of them were the most optimistic of people, but Nikolai seemed to have mustered up an optimistic response for her. Slowly she nodded against his back, not bothering to pull away from him. He was right. And they had each other. They didn't have to do this alone. Heaven knew, if she didn't have Nikolai here for this, she'd crack under the pressure. But with him? Well, she just might make it. Nikolai made her want to... Well, be better. To be the person he could somehow see underneath all her faults. "I've ruined a lot of things in my life. I don't want to ruin this too, Nikolai."

@magdalena <3 Nikolai felt her nodding behind him, and he smiled into the boiling pot of pasta. He was scared. She was scared. They would be scared for many many years to come. And there was no point in worrying right now. At least, that is what he was trying to tell himself. However Nikolai was sure once he told his parents that all hell would break loose all over again. He took a deep breath and nodded his head. "Well, I don't think you can mess this up, but if you start to, I'll let you know, how about that?" Niko put the spoon down and moved his body so that he was now facing her, his hands resting on her waist, a smile on his face.

Nikolai was moving. Why was he moving? Magdalena was forced to loosen her arms a bit as he turned, lifting her head to look up at him. From this position she really had to tilt her head back to meet his eyes as he twisted around to face her. She didn't move her arms, just loosened them until he was done moving, then tightened them back around his torso again. He was smiling, and that was possibly the best thing to settle her nerves. "Why do you have to be so perfect?" She teased, though part of her was completely serious. "And don't you dare argue, you are perfect and I love you." She added, her voice a little more strict, as if daring him to argue with her.
Magdalena didn't say anything else for a moment, just silently gazed up at him and into those rich green eyes of his. If you'd told her a few months ago that she'd be head over heels in love with Nikolai she would have scoffed. They'd just had such a terrible first impression, and she couldn't even remember half of it. Hell, even their second meeting had had just as bad of an impression! But somewhere along the way, without her knowing it until it was too late, she'd lost her heart to him. Despite his periodic bad attitude, and sarcastic remarks. Despite not being able to touch him for so long. Despite all the mistakes she'd made in her own life. Thankfully, Nikolai wasn't one of them. He happened to be one of the best things in her life.
After gazing up at him in silence for several seconds she finallyy unwrapped her arms from around his torso and reached up to lightly and delicately kiss him. "Thank you. For being here, and putting up with my insanity." She moved to take a step away, so as to not distract him anymore from his cooking.

@magdalena <3 Magdalena's reaction was not what Nikolai was expecting. His entire body and face softened, and his large grin turned into a gentle smile. He looked into her beautiful eyes, and just stared. Her words made him feel great, and although they were going through such a difficult time right now, he was just so happy. Magdalena made him so happy. Everything about her did. And he didn't really remember much of her at Hogwarts, not that he could recall, but he knew from the second he met her at the club that she was different. And different she was. "I love you too, Olli."
She then pulled away from him and kissed him gently. Nikolai bent down and kissed her back, not enjoying the feeling of the cold that was once warmth from her body. She even took a step backwards, and Nikolai frowned at her, but knew how hungry she was. He took the pot of pasta and drained it in the sink, then added the sauce and began mixing it. He smiled gently, "Do you mind setting the table?" Nikolai tended to not ask Magdalena to help much, but he figured she might want to do something instead of just standing there. Niko chuckled. "Thank you for putting up with my craziness."

Magdalena nodded as he asked if she could set the table for them. Normally the kitchen was his domain, of which she was typically comedy relief rather then actual help. So come in, harass Nikolai a bit, and then leave. He wasn't usually interested in help, but that was probably because with his fear of people touching him he was used to doing things himself. He'd been getting better at it though, and so she was always a little happy when he asked her to help, just because it was such a big thing for him.
Gathering up plates, utensils and cups she quickly set the tables. St the mention of his own craziness she turned back and grinned at him. "You are very, very, crazy." She teased. "But that happens to be one of your most endearing qualities."

@magdalena <3 He smiled as Magdalena nodded. She was so unique, so sweet and he was amazed that he was lucky enough to have her. Honestly, Magdalena was one of the best things to ever happen to him, other than Daniel of course. She helped him beyond words, beyond anything Nikolai had even been able to imagine for his future. Niko stood in the doorway, watching as she brought all of the dinner necessities to the table.
"Well I'm glad you find it endearing, not many others do." He smiled, and turned back into the kitchen to get the bowl of spaghetti. He placed it on the table and got some extra cheese, along with salt and pepper. Nikolai stared into the fridge, biting his bottom lip. Shrugging, he grabbed the gallon of milk and also placed it on the table, knowing wine would be a bad question in and out. "Let's eat, Olli."
