It was late evening and the air was a little crisp as a younger but still older Ian walked across the street to the corner of a mansion that stood upon the hill overlooking the rest of the city below it. The upper elites lived here in this area outside Godric’s Hollow they overlooked the village like they were some type of guardians. An evil smirk played across his face as a wand crept into his wand from his cloak pocket he brought it to his side and turned his side to the left as he heard a few pops and group of hooded figures appeared behind him and he gave a slight nod to them. ”Kill them all…leave his daughter for me…”said Ian he gave an evil crackle from his raspy lungs and he raised his wand pointing it to the grounds of the mansion. This was the Reynolds Manor home to Burt Wick Reynolds, the Head Auror and his family, parents, wife and eight year old daughter. He knew the man was skilled and would probably have powerful protection barriers around his house, but Ian knew how to get around that. The group of at least six figures behind him raised their wands with Ian, and in unison they shouted” Omnia munimenta”.
There was a bright flash of orange and red light from their wands that flew to the grounds hitting the invisible barrier of protections, followed by a large crackling sound overhead. This was followed by Ian’s maniacal evil laughter that he magnified to go across the grounds. At once he and the others disappeared with a loud pop and appeared at the front of the manor and started to break into the house, meeting the mother and child who were trying to run the stairs. ”Not so fast little girl, CRUCIO!” said Ian, as he shouted the curse seeing the little girl fall down screaming in pain as he kept the curse going as his men took care of the wife and parents. ”The Auror’s aren’t coming at least not yet! You’ll all be dead by the time daddy gets here girl”hissed Ian, as he brought the curse to an end and then produced ropes to bound the girl and mother, before setting the ropes on fire.
In a sudden snap of his head, he awoke from the dream, yes dream he took pleasure in everything he just re lived. It was the best hope or happy memory he had in this place called Azkaban, his grey eyes looked around his small cramped, dark cell. How I hate being at this place, one day through thought Ian giving small laugh. Immediately an guard told him to close his mouth, he stood up and leaned against the bars and started laughing very loud in a hysterical manner. ”You should be scared, you’re going to be the first to die when I’m free”said Ian, the words came from in such a cold manner but also in a raspy voice. The old deluded man, who looked in such frail health was someone who seemed so confident when he spoke of that he would become free and kill the man. ”I would tell your family to leave the country…it will spare them for a while…but eventually I’ll kill them to. I’ll enjoy it as well…please tell me you have kids..” said Ian, followed by another laugh that familiarized a deranged murderous clown. He stumbled backwards a little bit and leaned back against his cell wall.

This was one of the single most nerve wracking jobs in all of the jobs that were in the job description of being an auror. There were some days where she would have preferred even paperwork over coming here (heh she never thought she would hear herself say that one). She despised coming here to Azkaban. Flat out haaaaated it. Why? Well there were many a reason for that one. The place creeped her out--there were criminals all around her who would want to kill her on sight (for either being an auror--a muggleborn or probably both) and the aura of the place in general was just--ugh! Creepy, dark, creepy, depressing, creepy---and just...creepy! And that was when she was here with someone else. Alone--as she was now--those feelings of gut wrenching creepiness and mild nerves and fear (though she never would have admitted to that one out loud) were amplified ten fold. But as long as she took deep breaths--she would be fine. And the faster she did her task and got out of here the better.
She had been sent here on a questioning mission as it were. There had been plenty of suspicions about who was behind the recent string of murders. From former death eaters to even a student (the thought of that alone made her cringe). And she had a theory swirling around in that brain of her's. If it was a student then perhaps it was a kid from one of the prisoners. And if she questioned them enough--maybe she could figure out who had kids and who didn't. Who was alive and who was dead? Who they had to watch out for at Hogwarts and who they had to watch out for elsewhere?
Of course it wasn't going to be easy--no one was going to just talk to her willingly. They all wanted out. Out with a capital O-U-T no doubt. And they would try to use tricks and word play to get to her. These were murderers after all--people how had performed the Unforgivable Curses--people who were more then likely a bit touched in the head. And so she had to stay on her toes. Stay alert. Constant vigilance flashed through her mind as she arrived at the cells where prisoners stood and the danger was high.
Constant vigilance indeed.
Her ears pricked as she heard a voice--raspy and deranged--obviously ill yet just as obviously full of arrogant confidence. The other seemed so sure that he would get out of here if his words were anything to go by--Selliah's eyes narrowed slightly as she steeled herself. No better place to start then with the vocal guy. And so she walked towards his cell (being sure to leave a few feet between it and her body in case he tried something stupid)...
"Excuse me sir. I have a couple of questions for you." she said simply and much more briskly and sternly then was her normal tones. But this was not the normal situation. And so her norm wouldn't be of much use here now would it?

His stone cold grey eyes peered at the other wall of his such cramp cell as he leaned back agasint still chuckling and giving a deranged laugh every now and then. Muttering words under his breath of killing “mud bloods, and burning Hogwarts to the ground”, causing him to laugh more. There was a hint of pleasure in his laughs, relishing the thought of burning down Hogwarts a school which he believed was to contaminate to be saved. At once however his laugh came to a stop and his eyes shifted from their current view to, someone now in front of his cell still standing just a few feet back, for caution. A smirk played on his face as he saw it was an woman, a young one who said she wanted to question him. Too young for Senior Auror…not an International Auror either I bet. This will be fun the first thought that came across Ian’s mind as he adjusted himself to stand up and he leaned back against the bars. His grey eyes filled were void of emotion, and they fixed right on the lady in front of him, or as he saw her, a girl. His hair was grey and thinning, soon he would be completely bald, his face was shallow and he seemed in frail health. Still he stood with confidence or arrogance, whichever one who could it; one could only wonder if the man truly was ill or just extremely arrogant. He gave a laugh at her and just kept on laughing like hyena for at least a few minutes, it was like he had been cursed with uncontrollable laughter.
He stopped, catching his breath putting his hands up in the air as a “please don’t hurt me” manner then put them back to his side before looking right back at the lady. ”Little girl, the kiddie inmates are down that way…I doubt you have questions for me…I am quite literately above your pay grade”said Ian his voice was cold and raspy and he gave a slight laugh and started to walk away from the girl, and into the back of his cell hidden by some of the shadows. He stayed their looking at the back wall, for maybe a minute or just a little more. In a sudden flash of movement he flung himself back to the bars of the cell, laughing in such a way that he sounded like he was a dying animal. He hoped to have struck fear into the person questioning him, rather she showed it or not, Ian was not your simple evil death eater.
He was spoken of being insane, coming up with deranged and pure evil ideas and methods of killing people. Just the kind of person that could strike fear in the hearts of men and women in the name of Lord Voldemort, before he was killed of course. ”No one tell the girl …the little girl who she talking to.. IAN OLETHRUS OWENS. Or you do not wish to mention my name now?! Afraid I might kill another Minister for Magic, RUFUS DIED LIKE A COWARD, AND COULDN’T HANDLE THE PAIN!” he started shouting his eyes darting back and forth from the girl in front of him and back to the area where some other Aurors were who yelled at him to shut it. He stumbled a little backwards and leaned back against the wall of the cell but his eyes did not leave the girl now, as he watched her. Just getting the Aurors to tell him to “shut it” was enough reaction for him, he enjoyed bringing up the people he killed or the fact that he deceived the Ministry for decades. Working as Adviser to first Fudge and then Rufus, before helping bring the Ministry down for his master Voldemort.

Selliah did not quite know what to make of this man just yet. He was older...much older than she was obviously. His hair was grey--his eyes of the same color hollow and his face gaunt (no doubt due to the years he's been in Azkaban). Still though -- he seemed so damn arrogant. Perhaps it was the way he looked at her all smug and crap. Or maybe it was her being way too strung up because of where she was. All she knew was that it was already grating on her already raw nerves like sandpaper. He seemed like so sure of himself...even though he was in the worst of places. It was a personality trait that she had never been a huge fan of--and especially when it came to criminals. They had done their wrongs and yet they couldn't see that. They thought they were in the right. Oh it made her roll her eyes. And this guy didn't seem to be any different.
Or maybe he was.
He started to laugh. To just laugh. Her eyebrow rose at his actions though she couldn't help but mentally cringe. God that laugh! It was one of those kinds of laughs that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. She didn't see what was so funny about this situation. She had questions--he had answers. Oh but he wasn't going to go down easy. After he finished his laughing fest (finally)--he spoke...a raspy voice that told of his less than stellar health. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he spoke before walking away and staying with his back towards her. Little girl? Did he just call her little girl? Yep--yep he did. She shook her head with an obvious roll of her eyes. Oh he had no idea who he was messing with did he? Nope--none. She was not just a little girl to be shoved to the side because she looked young. She was an auror. And she took her job seriously. She had her "mission" in hand and she was not going to walk away. Heck no she wasn't going to cave in easily.
Before she had a chance to retaliate--he flung himself at the cell door--that nerve grating laughter rang through the air as he laughed and laughed and it took great amount of control for the young auror not to flinch or jump back. No. She wasn't going to flinch. She wouldn't dare to five him that satisfaction. Was he going to stop laughing now? I mean any moment now. She was a free woman here--a free woman with a bit of a busy schedule who didn't have all day to sit here and get nowhere with this maniac. He was shouting about who he was. Of course she knew who he was! How could she not?! He was one of the most notorious criminals in this place. He had killed many and had absolutely zero remorse for it so it would seem. Psycho. It was the only word that crossed her mind as she thought of all the people she had read that he had killed--and he had even attempted to murder his own grandson. Psycho indeed.
Her ears pricked as she heard several voices telling him to shut up more or less. She wondered if that of all things would work and well--it seemed to be the reaction he was looking for cause he finally shut up long enough for her to get a word in edgewise. His grey eyes did not leave her form as he leaned against the wall and her own eyes did not leave his form. But this was much more than a staring match thank you and now she could get down to the actual business at hand,
"Oh finally done laughing are we? Well I'm not going anywhere. You are just the person I want to see. There must be so much in that mind of yours." she said with a confidence she wasn't entirely sure she felt at the present moment. The man's behavior concerned her to say the very least. He was definitely one they were going to have to watch out for. There was most definitely something off about him. And they had to make damn well sure that he wasn't going anywhere. And that he stayed put...

His dark evil eyes never left her figure as he just watched her reactions, or lack thereof. He would give it the woman was trained well enough to not let her emotion show on her face, or react in such physical ways but he knew, he had gotten to her a little bit. Or at least he hoped that he had terrified her into wanting to run away from his cell. Puny little girl thought Ian and he once again started to laugh but, this time in the middle of his laugh started coughing/ He coughed rather violently for a few seconds and started to spit, it was all a ploy but rather a very good act. Truly it looked as the older then dirt man was, very ill or at least in frail health. He took a step to the bars once more and grabbed them and his eyes looked right into the eyes of the young Auror. ”Sorry I tend to laugh when they send the runts to question me…you see I’m having withdrawals I haven’t killed anyone recently….such pity” said Ian he gave a wicked smile, which was basically an almost toothless smile. He looked down at the end of his sentence however, and looked rather sad that he honestly had not killed anyone. He mockingly wiped a tear away and stumbled backwards back into the darkness of his cell near the back wall, once again.
He just kept smirking as she talked about how she was not going anywhere and that he was the exact person she wanted to see. He couldn’t help but give a crackling laugh when she mentioned there must be a lot in that mind of his. ”You have no idea….little…..girl...the stuff I know would give you nightmares. How about the last words of Burt’s Reynolds eight year old daughter as the fire burnt her alive. Or what about the cries of Joshua Nightingale as he watched me torture his eight month old baby into death…and yes I’m proud of each and every one” spoke Ian as he took a few steps to the cell. He was extremely proud of all the killings he had done, and he stood tall as he was standing in front of Lord Voldemort himself. She apparently wanted to know things, someone sent her here and he was going to have much fun with her, plus he wanted a warning to get to the entire Order and all of the Aurors, Ian Olethrus Owens is coming for them, and he will burn all of the world down to the ground.
He had plans in place, there had been weeks of planning and later this month of October, and he would no longer be confined to this prison cell. He wanted them on their guard because there was no way stopping his escape, he could draw them a map and he would still get out. Once I have a wand and am past this cell, nothing will stop me thought Ian he kept walking to the bars of his cell, his eyes looking the young Auror up and down studying her. She would die slowly. ”Let me guess you’re with the Order as well…I can give you something for them and the Aurors, rather simple. That come hell or high water, I shall be free and I am the hell and high water sweetie”said Ian he gave a rather evil grin, his voice was clear as day no rasp at all. His confidence was basically oozing out of all her pores.
Let me clarify the message, must strike their anger and fear thought Ian as his eyes moved up to the celling and then looked at the guards a little way down the hallway, they were starting to listen it seemed like. ”The Order shall burn and the Phoenix killed once and for all, the sky will burn, and the black lake will turn red with the blood of the children, their screams will be heard as Hogwarts burns to the ground, their parents standing by, unable to help….because they can’t” Ian spoke as he started walking around in a circle, as if he was telling the lady a story and he was, but it was of the world’s future, her future. Should I kill her with fire, or by a slow acting poison thought Ian as he started to stroke his chain, he was having a true dilemma on how to kill her, maybe she would have some thoughts. ”Tell me toots…how would you like to die? I’m having a dilemma on how to end your life, and I will end your life. I usually like to burn the kids alive….more screams, but you maybe I’ll do something more special…any ideas” asked Ian, his eyebrow raised as he was waiting for the response of the young girl. ”You see I’ve planned on how to kill each of the Potters, and the Weasleys as well even the Longbottoms, from each and every single one to Harry all the way to Lily Potter…maybe the mothers will watch that could be an dazzling show? You know I was thinking of just killing all three of them together…Lily Potter, Alice Longbottom…and oh of course Rose Weasley…I guess Neville and Harry will see me soon or better yet Ginny…to bad I might be….gone!” asked Ian, giving another creepy laugh. What was even creepier then his laugh, or his utter confidence, was the questions he asked and how he asked them like, the Auror really had any ideas to give him.

'This guy is so damn full of it.'
Selliah thought this as he laughed yet again--it really was as if he had nothing better to do. Well he laughed then started coughing that was. He really did seem to be in a rather poor state of health. One might be inclined to feel a bit for him--but no--not Selliah. He had every right to be here...deserved to be here for the things he had done to people and a perhaps touch more cruel part of her said that he deserved to be like this --frail and in ill health. He deserved to be suffering just even a little bit for all the suffering he had caused. She snorted softly as he called her a runt. A little girl? And now a runt? Gee he wasn't all that original in the name giving department was he? Ahh but she supposed there were worse things to be called. Thank god he didn't know about her blood status or else he'd probably be giving her an ear full of obscenities (from what she had read he was a total supremacist in every definition of the word).
He rattled on and on about how he hadn't killed anyone in so long. How it seemed like he was sad by that fact...it was sick. Just plain sick. He was definitely a person who didn't deserve a wand in her opinion. And she was more then glad that she was running into him her versus out on the streets. He was standing tall and proud and looking straight at her. And so she stood tall and almost in a defiant way looked right back at him. She was not afraid. She would not let him get to her. She was better then that.
He said she didn't know what was in his head. Of course she didn't. That was why she was here. Did he really think she was that stupid? Her eyes narrowed as he mentioned how he had been the one to kill the current headmaster's daughter--how he killed an auror's eight month old daughter. Her jaw clenched visibly and her eyes narrowed even further as he boasted about how proud he was of those deaths. "I know what you've done. I'm not here for a history lesson." she said briskly and it took a lot of self control for her not to get angry...to not show that she was angry that was. She was furious actually. He truly was a psycho. It wasn't just one of those rumors she had heard from the grapevine--it was actual fact. How could someone be proud of that? It was sick and wrong. So wrong and yet he didn't care. She saw no care in those eyes--no regret...no compassion. They were just void of anything and everything--except confidence that was. That nerve grating confidence that was practically oozing out of him. She couldn't help but be---concerned.
What if he was right? What if he knew something that she didn't? What if there was behind the scenes crap that she didn't know about? That none of them knew about? Hmm maybe if she could sweet talk her way through it--he might just slip up and tell her something. Oh it was a stretch and a half...but she could hope right?
He wondered if she was with the order. Maybe she was--maybe she wasn't. She sure as hell wasn't going to tell him anything about that. She listened to his words--about him being the hell and the high water. That the order was die and the children would die and no one was going to be able to help. No one was going to be able to stop him. She said nothing, moved not a muscle--okay so that last part was a lie. She may not have said anything but you could see her muscles tensing -- almost to the point of aching--as she stood there and listened to his threats. Her anger, her indignation and her fear all growing more and more with each passing second. A part of her wanted to laugh though. That was rich coming from him in his situation. He was in the most guarded prison in the wizarding world. Sure there had been breakouts before--she had heard of the breakout during Voldemort's rise to power--but that was then and this was now. And now there was different security, different guards...they weren't going to let something like that happen again. He wasn't getting out--he just couldn't! Right? .....
She wasn't so sure of that anymore. As he asked her how she wanted to die herself...she was a bit taken aback. What the heck kind of question was THAT?! He seemed so confident though--in that he just 'knew' that he was going to end her life. She rolled her eyes in response, "This chick isn't dying anytime soon thank you." she said with a soft snort. If he thought he was going to take her down just like that--he had another thing coming. He thought she had no idea who she was dealing with. In turn -- HE had no idea who HE was dealing with. She wasn't just some little girl no one here.
Again he rattled on--that concern growing confidence in him as he spoke about the Harry's kids, all the Weasley kids and Neville's kids, He was planning on going after them. Killing them. Making the mothers watch?! He was creeping her out here--and more then just a little bit ruffling her feathers here. "You won't ever get that chance. Your killing days are more then over." she said coldly and with as much confidence in her tone as he had in his. Though she wasn't 1000% as confident as she sounded--she knew exactly what she had to do. Let them know. Let them know what was going on--Harry, Neville...all of them. And then hash out plans on how to protect them, protect their kids...protect all of the kids...she wasn't sure how they were going to do this. Or even if it was smart to tell them such things given their tempers. But no she couldn't keep this from them. It wouldn't be right,
...they had to know about this....something had to be done...done to stop this from even having a remote chance of becoming true....
