It was a Hogsmeade weekend, but Jamie wasn't playing on staying long. She had a practice schedule to make, and a lot of homework to do (though there were other things with the initials HW that she'd rather be doing). All she needed was a couple of bars of chocolate, since those were the only things that seemed to make her feel any better after a full moon. Jamie wasn't sure whether turning was getting harder because she was more stressed or because she was getting older, but it felt like every month it took a little more out of her. It wasn't that big of a deal to her, though - Jamie was good at powering through even when she wanted to do nothing more than sleep. The only bad thing about powering through was that sometimes Jamie tended to get a little distracted. She was just walking down the street, looking around, when she found herself flat on her back. Apparently she had bumped into someone. Excellent.

@jamie Later that week, the first task of the Triwizard Tournament would happen at Hogwarts again. Charlie was in Hogsmeade this time around, just like he had been years ago, but this time it wasn’t for work. He had hoped that there would be dragons used again, although apparently there were ethical issues now with chaining them up and pitting teenage witches and wizards against them. He agreed on the chaining up part, but battling against a dragon and walking away unscathed was a true test of skill, something he was sure all of the champions had, just like the four chosen all those years ago had been. What a feat that had been, getting four grown female dragons onto the grounds of Hogwarts with only a few people noticing. He wasn’t stupid, he knew that the champions were well aware of how the task was going to play out; that was a part of the tournament. It would have been impossible to conceal that tidbit of information from them. Plus there were only a few ways to play off sudden blasts of fire on school grounds in the middle of the night, especially when they were accompanied by the roars of the magical beasts.
Reminiscing as he strolled down the streets of Hogsmeade, Charlie got lost in his thoughts and forgot why he was even there in the first place. Stopping a few seconds to ponder this, he recalled that it had something to do with talking to prospective dragonologists that were graduating this year. Before he could remember the location he was supposed to meet them though, he felt someone run into his back. Turning slowly to make sure he didn’t bump them again, he glanced around, not noticing the girl laying on the ground. Finally looking down, he spotted her, a look of surprise on his face, like he had just opened up a Christmas gift that George had given him, which usually resulted in some type of explosion or liquid goo shooting all over the house. Fun times. Extending his arm out to the girl on the ground, he smiled apologetically. “Sorry about that. Stopping in the middle of the street is a bad habit of mine. You okay?”

Jamie stood up quickly, ignoring the strangers extended arm and brushing the dust off herself as she got her bearings again. The gravel on the street had dug into the heels of her hands, and they were scraped up fairly badly, so she quickly hid her hands behind her back, not wanting the stranger to see that he had unwittingly hurt her. She brushed herself off again, trying to do something with the nervous energy that was now pulsing through her. When Jamie looked up, though, she saw not the face of a stranger, but a face that she recognized. She had seen him before, in family photographs. Harper had always been happy to oblige Jamie’s curiosity about the Weasley family, most of all her own immediate family. Even though she had never met him before, Jamie knew Charlie Weasley’s face. She was so stunned by the realization that she barely managed to squeak out a noise in response to his apology. After taking a deep breath to calm herself, Jamie managed to smile falteringly at Charlie. “Of course, Mr. Weasley.” She said, voice still betraying her nerves. “I’m fine.” She added, realizing she hadn’t actually answered his question. Then, awkwardly, Jamie removed one of her hands, still oozing blood from the scrapes, to shake his hand. “Nice to meet you.” She said lamely.
