Calliope had a secret. A great, big, wonderful secret, one that she had been keeping for what felt like forever. She was in love. Oh her heart felt like it was beating faster and slower at the same time, What a magnificent feeling it was. She'd been wanting to tell Caroline for ages; she was her best friend after all! But no, this romance had a slow burn to it. Secret meetings, going to the theatre, pretending they were just friends when all she really wanted to do was....well, last night they had talked, and Callie was just simply bursting to tell Caroline.
She swept into the Hospital Wing and knocked on the door of her best friends office. "Caroline! Darling, are you in there?" she sang out, not helping the smile spreading across her face. Oh she hoped Caroline would be happy for her!

As a lover of muggles, Caroline liked to do many things the good old fashioned muggle way. With maybe a few cheats here and there. So, today Caroline had decided to make tea the old fashioned way on the small stove top she had in her office. She had her favorite tea kettle sitting upon the stove burner and it was heating up the tea when she heard a familiar voice call out her name. Instantly, a smile spread across her face as she nearly leapt to the door of her office and swung it open. "Callie!" She exclaimed with delight as she threw her arms around the red head in a hug. It had been quite a while since she had had the time to sit down and talk to her friend. It was a pleasant surprise to see her at her office door. "How are you, dear? Would you like some tea?" She asked, pulling away and gesturing Calliope into her office.

Callie was happy Caro was in and returned her best friends’ hug gratefully. “I’m so sorry I’ve been sparse; being the Head of House takes up a lot of time!” she exclaimed, coming into Caroline’s office and taking a seat. “I would love some tea thank you. Chamomile of course,” she added. She waited for Caroline to brew the tea and hand her a mug before continuing to speak. “I’ve been well thank you dear. I have two letters in front of me for summer offers; one for the anniversary of Phantom on West End and the other to create the lead role in West End’s The Little Mermaid. I don’t know which one to choose - help!” she asked pleadingly. She would get to her relationship reveal soon enough; it was easier to talk about her theatre productions first and then go into that she was currently seeing the Deputy Headmaster as more than just a friend.

Caroline waved a hand dismissively at Calliope's apology. "Oh, it's no bother!" She assured her good friend as she walked over to her tea kettle and began to pour tea into two cups for she and Callie. "Perfect, I was just cooking up some Chamomile." She walked back over and handed the professor a cup of the warm tea. Caroline sipped on her tea as Calliope explained to her the news about two summer offers she had received. A smile quickly spread across the nurse's face. "Cal! I am so happy for you!" Caro exclaimed happily. "Which do you think you are going to take up?"

Calliope beamed at Caro’s praise. “Thanks Caro, it means a lot,” she said, giving her friends arm a light squeeze before accepting her cup of tea. She took a sip and swallowed before responding. “I’ve been going back and forth a lot; it’d be amazing to be a Disney princess. But Phantom would give me the added opportunity of performing for a month in Paris, singing in French. I don’t think I can really let that pass me by,” she said slowly. In reality, Calliope knew her mind was made up; originating roles was one of the most rewarding experiences, but there was also the added factor that Ariel was an incredibly famous Disney princess; many people had their pre-conceived perceptions of the mermaid. Callie had watched the Disney film when she had gotten the offer, and felt her voice was a little higher than the woman who sang in the movie. “Guess I will have to brush up on my French,” she said happily, taking a sip.
Okay, it was now or never, and Calliope couldn’t hold it in any longer. “I’m seeing Calex,” she blurted out, then blushed. “That is, in a romantic sense. He came to see Les Mis over the summer, and one thing led to another and….yeah,” she trailed off, looking up at Caroline. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you when it immediately happened. But we couldn’t risk his son Blaise finding out until he was ready.” She reached out to take the woman’s hand. “Will you forgive me?” she asked.
