new activity rules
Hello, all! I am loving all the progress so far on the Oct/Nov AC. Keep it up! As mentioned in that announcement, there was going to be a new activity rule announcement. First, I want you guys to know that we as a staff have decided to put these little changes in place to better the activity and overall well being of the site for the future as we continue to grow. Plus, with the holidays and exams and stuff coming up, we want to be able to have a system in place. So please bear all this in mind, and if you have any questions about the following, please contact a staff member.
- As of 10/24/2016, once you drop a character, you will have to wait a certain amount of time before taking on another. Right now, once you drop one, a member of staff will PM you and let you know when you can next take on another. Your waiting time will be based on the current amount of characters you have as well as your posting average.
- With that, you will now need to have your most recent character at 30 posts instead of two threads in order to create a new character so as to prove activity with that character before hand.
- Wanted ads will now be watched more closely. To do this, we are asking that you not create a new want ad for a new character until after that character has reached 30 posts. After that, you are more than welcome to create a want ad for character to plot them with.
- One of the biggest changes we are going to be enforcing a little bit more is general over all activity with canon characters/important OCs. This includes all book canons and former DA members, any child of former DA members, any Purifier or OoTP member, any want ad that is taken, and any other character(s) that staff deems is important to the plot.
- Furthermore, we are going to be a lot more strict about the 5 day posting rule in plot relevant threads. As of 10/28/2016, from here on out, if you are skipped in any new plot relevant threads more than three times, you will receive a PM from staff reminding you. If this happens in more than one thread, your character will be included in plot relevant threads less and less. The same does not apply for class threads, which are and will remain 100% optional.
I know life can get crazy sometimes. But remember, we have the absence board or you can always talk to a staff member! We, as a staff, finally just decided that perhaps we need to crack down on activity and character creation a bit more. So we apologize, but we hope you understand! Thank you all so much! <3
