Leprechauns aren't really rich(ARGUS)

It had been quite a while since Dave had been in Ireland, or the UK for that matter. But today both his jobs brought him here to the fine city of Dublin. He had gone to the Irish Ministry of Magic, and well to say the least the Irish Minister had his head in the right place and was working to secure Ireland from the ever increasing threat of the death eaters in England. Dave was just checking up on the situation here before he had to go find a certain, shall we say criminal? Dave was sitting in the middle of a park in the city of Dublin. There were many people running around with their dogs, and kids. It was nice to see that people were out and actually using the park, but at the same time he knew that they all felt safe. Ha! well they weren't but he was here to put a stop to that. The couple that he was after just so happened to be expert thieves and were wanted in many different countries including, Japan, Russia, Mexico, The United States of America, etc. Most times this couple would use leprechauns to steal things and then replace it with their fake gold and what not. It really was an ingenious method of thieving if there was ever one. 

After about three hours waiting for any sign of them he caught the glimpse of a little leprechaun, that had just flown, or rather was thrown out of a bush. Dave smirked he had found and in a matter of a few seconds would be capturing said thieves. Looking around he noticed that there were no muggles in site which was perfect for what he was about to do. First off he cast an anti-apparition ward around the bush and then he made the plant come to life. The plant quickly and tightly secured his query. Walking over to the bush he was able to see the two people that he was after. "Jean and Marie Foss you are under arrest." Dave said as he looked at the French couple, before several Irish aurors appeared and took them away. It was quite easy to find and capture those two now that he thought about it, and it amazed him that the other governments of the world had not caught these people. He could have left Dublin right then and there but he decided to just take a seat on some bench near the pond and watch the passersby.

A smirk appeared on the face of Argus Ale as he sat across from a rather plump man with almost no hair left, and the man wasn’t even that old at all. Despite the smirk the had just played across his face, Argus for most of the last two hour meeting had sat almost emotionless laughing at dumb-witted jokes from time to time. Also nodding while getting lectures on security plans by someone who seemed to be more of a Historian of guarding someone then, presently guarding someone today. The Ireland Ministry picks this man to be in charge of security for their Minister thought Argus resisting the tempt to start shaking his head. ”Well I must be off, Minister needs me. Just owl my office on the last plans” responded Argus as he got up and nodded to the man and exited the office and made the way down long hallways that twisted and turned. Eventually he came to the part of the building, where he could apperate, and without a second longer he was behind a store in the city of Dublin. He walked out from the back of the store and more into the center of the area where he saw a park and decided to take a little stroll before heading back to the Minister. He had at least an hour or so before he would have to go to the Minister’s house to pick him up.

He just could not stand staying in that office anymore with the guy from Ireland’s Ministry. The Minister had an upcoming visit with the Ireland Minister of Magic to discuss different stuff, Argus would be outside the meeting guarding the area because he thought the man he met with earlier as a huge oaf. An humongous oaf who has no idea on how to secure a tree house thought Argus as he started walking through the park, and something caught his eye Irish Aurors helping arrest a couple. Once they left he saw one stay behind but, then realized it was not an Auror for the Ireland Ministry at all. In fact it was an International Auror, David Keller Jones. He had known about the International Aurors for a while and wanted to join them, when he became Head of the Advanced Guard he had met David. He did not they know man well, but respected from what he had from other International Aurors he worked with. He had decided when he was put in charge to work with the IA more closely when the Minister travelled to another country, something his predecessor had not really tried. He approach David seeing him on a bench and he approach and sat at the other end of the bench, not too far from him, and looked over at him. ”Mr. Jones, good to see you. I hate to interrupt any of your thoughts but, I think we should talk”spoke Argus looking at the man hoping he would have a conversation with him. Argus had witnessed something at the Ministry just the other day, something the International Aurors should know, and why wait to let Walton know when here was David Jones himself.

”Mr. Jones, good to see you. I hate to interrupt any of your thoughts but, I think we should talk” He had heard and even felt the approach of someone, but once he heard the voice he knew who it was that had sat at the other end of the bench. “Mr. Diamond it is good to see you as well.” Turning towards Argus for the first time. “Now let’s use first names because this isn’t a formal meeting or anything. Now Argus what is it that you want to talk to me about?” Dave was curious as to what Argus had to say. He had met the man before but it had only been for a brief moment. However when Argus had become the head of the Advanced Guard they had a meeting of sorts, it was more of a business meeting. Dave knew everything there was to know about Argus but they really hadn’t had a chance to talk much to each other.

He had a feeling that whatever it is that Argus had to say to him was important to some degree. If not very important, and it most likely had something that he had seen at the Ministry of Magic. It was nice to have people all over the place to help give them information so they could do what was necessary to either help out or to put a stop to things. It all depended on if the things were for the benefit of the people or not. For the International Aurors were the special forces in the world and they had people from every country and Dave just so happened to be the lucky one to become the Head of the whole organization. He had seen many things during his time as a member of the IA. He had helped stop many wars in different countries and he had also dealt with many other things, and every time they were successful in their missions, was accredited to people that gave them information whether it was given willingly or if it was taken from them. Dave turned his head just a little bit as he heard a dog bark, but he kept his eyes on Argus waiting for the man to tell him whatever it was that he wanted to tell him.

He nodded at when David Jones addressed him as he spoke before turning over to him and finishing his sentence. He had told him to go ahead and drop the formalities with the last names, and just go by first names. He nodded once again at the man and then started thinking how to present the issue at hand to him. Since his last talk with Walton at the leaky cauldron he had decided to use his position to help look into Vincent Stone, and startling stuff had came out. Major security violation as I see thought Argus his eyes turned over to the dog that barked but, didn’t pay much attention to it before looking back at the Head International Auror. ”I’ve done some digging into Vincent Stone, I’m sure Walton informed you of his security pass he was issued. The Department of International Magical Cooperation has cleared him as an VIP from a foreign Ministry, he was able to move around the Ministry alone” spoke Argus he looked at David as he spoke and then when he stopped his eyes moved away and scanned the area. Part of his job was always to be on alert, in case someone tried getting to him to get to the Minister.

He had been on a lower level of the Ministry and had spotted Vincent Stone, they had briefly talked as Argus had question him who he was and being on a floor of the Department of Mysteries. He was not sure if Stone had been in the Department, his pass didn’t give him clearance at all for it but he was on the floor. Says he got lost…I don’t believe it at all”thought Argus. His eyes turned back to David now as he finished scanning the area. ”Mr. Stone was on the floor of Department of Mysteries said he got lost…I highly doubt it, the head of the department said he never came into the department itself…but Amber Sandoval is not very reliable in my book” spoke Argus, remembering the conversation with the attractive secretive lady. He did not trust the lady at all but, he did not get much access to the department or her at all to find any wrong doing of hers, just something made him get a bad feeling around her. ”Either way in my book it’s a major security violation..Stone’s credentials have been revoked and he’s not allowed at the Ministry…if he’s Reynolds lapdog he was there for a reason”said Argus he spoke and looked over at some children playing on the other side of the park as he waited for a response from David.

”I’ve done some digging into Vincent Stone, I’m sure Walton informed you of his security pass he was issued. The Department of International Magical Cooperation has cleared him as an VIP from a foreign Ministry, he was able to move around the Ministry alone” That never boded well. Someone having a VIP status from a foreign Ministry, especially the one in France, well it looked like his next stop today would be the French Ministry and he would be getting and gathering any and all information on what Vincent Stone was doing there. If needed he would lock the place down and call in the available Interrogators and Commandos of the IA and have them take care of the information gathering/taking it from those that worked there. It would be quite simple to do so since the French Ministry was not to large, and Plus he would only need about thirty or so IA members to do the job of getting any and all info about Stone. He might even make it quicker and have Walton, Sasha, and Milan take care of the interrogation portion of it while he dealt with the French Minister. But that would have to wait until he was done talking with Argus.

“The Department of Mysteries you say? I wouldn’t trust Amber Sandoval either, and I have a feeling that she probably let Stone in there to do as he wished.” It never was a good thing when officials of any ministry let people into their departments or even let them roam around on their own if they weren’t part of the ministry. It usually meant trouble and that said questionable people were there to do something most likely illegal. ”Either way in my book it’s a major security violation..Stone’s credentials have been revoked and he’s not allowed at the Ministry…if he’s Reynolds lapdog he was there for a reason” Dave nodded in acknowledgement. “It is a good thing that you have revoked his credentials and also made sure that he is not allowed within the Ministry…” 

At that moment Dave looked around noticing someone approaching them from a way’s off. To most people it would seem that the man that was not walking towards them but in a completely different direction. But to one trained such as Argus and he were trained you could tell just where someone was going. He moved his hand ever so slightly towards Argus to get his attention and gave a slight nod with his head towards the man that was walking towards them. It would not be good for them to keep talking about what they had been talking about with unfriendly ears nearby, and Dave hoped that Argus would know to drop the subject for the time being.

Ireland, the beautiful yet sometimes potentially dangerous country of the Irish it always had the chance of money being made in it. What made it even so much better was that he stayed of the Ministry’s radar much more than other governments, paying the right people off and getting information on a few that was less than family values let’s say, it all made it so much easier. Moving around in such simplicity while being a wanted man, was a turn on for him. However; he did not travel alone all the time and he was not alone today he had people with him. He had received a tip from the Irish that Argus Diamond was in the country today, meeting with his Ministry counterpart here for an upcoming visit from the Minister, preparing the advancements for such visit. The man who was the bodyguard of the British Minister was talented, cautious, and extremely walled off from outsiders. Getting to him was not easy, information retrieval from him would be bloody and rather long drawled out process, either way he was worth loads of money. He moved out of an alley way and into the park, he had followed Argus here to the park he was meeting with someone on a bench. Moving close he started to get in ear shot of the man and heard part of the conversation before the other man, notice that Ezra was moving in.

He saw how they stopped talking and Argus instantly became quiet and on guard even more. Fools, if I wanted you dead you would be dead thought Ezra as he kept walking towards them. His eyes glanced around the park as he saw four new people enter the park in separate ways. Some had kids with them, others walking a dog they seemed like normal perfect people, muggles even. Kids die first thought Ezra, he came around the bench and smiled at Argus and the man he was with, yes a bounty hunter by the name of David if he was correct. Now this is strange is it not, Advanced Guard and Bounty Hunter together he thought as he raised an eyebrow and then in a sudden movement he plopped in between the two, and could feel wand go in his side. ”Gentlemen good to see you. Beautiful Park isn’t it, cute kids, and even some little puppies for the kids to play with. Be such a shame if killing curses started flying and killing them before you guy’s had the chance” said Ezra, he was such a polite person, but his tone was condescending in a little bit. He gave both the men next to him a small smile and, he looked around the park, as the new people looked over at them, it was perfectly clear he had the innocents surrounded.

”Make any moves, try anything and well my associates start doing their jobs, and they are rather hungry for money. Let’s have a peaceful conversation, Argus I’ve heard much about you. Do you know how much people would pay for a peak in that mind of yours? David, well your just a bounty hunter aren’t you, strange you meeting with Argus I mean Head of Advanced Guard with just some random simple, no special at all bounty hunter” spoke Ezra his voice was pleasant and dry. You could feel the confidence of the most wanted thief in the world as he sat and spoke to the two men beside them. If they moved, even touched him wrongly they would have the bloods of little kids on their hands. Humming a little he glanced around the park once more in case he had any unexpected visitors, which he was sure was not happening. ”Give up on the French, I know much more about Mr. Stone then what they know, or be willing to tell you. Power such a silly thing. Power is only good as you have it, never stays long. Money however, that is something” spoke Ezra his eyes looking at the men between them.

He listened to David speak and agree with him that Amber Sandoval was not someone who could be trusted and that she might have let Vince in the department. That was a red flag for him, that if Vincent had actually gotten a chance to go in the department and venture around. Who knows what really was in the department and what he might have stumbled upon. More importantly however; why was he wanting in the department, what he hoped to find in one of the most restricted areas in the Ministry? He nodded his head when David agreed with him on revoking of the credentials of Stone, but before he went any further he stopped. Argus raised an eyebrow confused for a second but, then right after that he realized he was letting him know to not speak, someone was listening apparently. He turned slightly his eyes scanning the park and then he noticed someone walking towards them and he was in ear shot. How much had the man heard, he was unsure…he was unsure who the man was until, he walked right to the front of them. What the hell is this thought Argus as he was looking at Ezra Rose Reddington who took a seat between him and David, as he did in the split second it took him to sit Argus had his wand out and jammed it in the man’s side.

He stayed cooled and calm and kept eye contact on the man known as Rosebud as he started to speak. Slowly however his eyes gazed around the park and noticed what Ezra was talking about. New people had come in the park, honestly they looked normal but something was not right. They were ‘’associates’’ of Rosebud’s apparently as he spoke and threanted to have the kids killed. This twit he knew I was coming, this was way to planned thought Argus his mind was racing at ways to extract him and David without having innocents die and so far the scenarios were not playing out very well. ”Nice move Ezra I have to give you credit, you won’t ever get to see my mind however, sorry kind of a private person here. You understand right?” said Argus very calmly his wand was at his side pointed straightforward away from the newcomer, for now. He was surprised that one of the most wanted men in the world was sitting right next to him and the Head of the International Aurors, which he thought was just as a simple bodyguard. He would leave David to defend his cover himself, to avoid any mishaps in stories. This guy is a genius, he has backup plans to his backup plans I betthought Argus his eyes looked around at the people with the kids, they were so close. He really did have them boxed in a corner.

It looked like a peaceful, well hopefully a peaceful, conversation was to be had between the three men on the bench. However; when Ezra spoke of the French he looked right at him and blinked, so he had heard part of what they had said. He knew something about Vincent and the French, which did not surprise him at all. The man was rumored to have information on many people in the world, a way he stayed out of the hands of the law. A key word however stood out, ”willing to tell you”. He hinted that they would not be willing to talk to him. ”So what do you know about Mr. Stone that I don’t know Rosebud? I feel like the French resisting might be something of your doing, I don’t know why just a wild guess” said Argus with a little sarcastic smirk on his face as he stared down the master thief. He knew David could not question Ezra about Vincent or it would raise questions, but Argus could he was perfectly in the position to question away, and question away he would do.

Dave could tell that Ezra meant business, and had willingly come up to them for information, however the man had a plan to kill every single innocent person here in the park, which he could not allow, as he noticed Argus put his wand into the side of Ezra. Argus would probably let the innocent people be harmed but Dave knew that this would turn ugly if anything went south. ”Give up on the French, I know much more about Mr. Stone then what they know, or be willing to tell you. Power such a silly thing. Power is only good as you have it, never stays long. Money however, that is something” Hmm so Ezra had information on Stone, which once he learned it he would inform Walton so that he could inform the Order of the Phoenix, and once they had the information, they would no doubt find out more information about Reynolds this way as well so that they could remove the man from his post as headmaster of Hogwarts.

”Nice move Ezra I have to give you credit, you won’t ever get to see my mind however, sorry kind of a private person here. You understand right?... So what do you know about Mr. Stone that I don’t know Rosebud? I feel like the French resisting might be something of your doing, I don’t know why just a wild guess” Straight to the hostilities, was Argus’ move even though to anyone it would look like the three men were just having a nice polite conversation. “Argus, play nice and put your wand away, I am sure that our friend here will give you the information that he has about the French, and Stone. Isn’t that right Rosebud?” Dave said while he looked at the two men, one who he would love nothing more than to capture and let Walton tear into the man’s mind, extracting any and all valuable information, but he could not do that right now.

When he had asked Ezra the question he had made eye contact, which basically meant that he would pay the man the gold that he required for the information. Dave knew how it worked with Ezra and that the man wasn’t playing around with threats, for they had met out in the open which was not usual but it seemed that they had run into each other, and it was not idea for a meeting because of things like this happening. Dave hated having to pay a wanted criminal for information but that is how things worked, but he knew that he would just have to keep using his bounty hunter status and not ask any questions that would reveal that he knew more than he should as a bounty hunter.
