Jamie nodded enthusiastically when Natalie said that if she wasn’t married she would still be running around, just as blind to her own affections as Lily and Adrian were. “I have to admit, I loved Harper, but I love being single, too.” It was nice not to have to be accountable to anyone but herself, and the fact that they had broken up amicably made things a hundred times easier; Jamie would have hated to be caught in any sort of drama with her ex-girlfriend as she tried to move on with the rest of her life. “I plan on playing Quidditch, so I do think it will be quite a different world.” Jamie agreed. Quidditch stars got looked at all the time, and Jamie wasn’t sure she had ever experienced that sort of bright spotlight. People whispered at Hogwarts, but whispers were nothing compared to Daily Prophet articles or Wicked Witch gossip. There was a lesser version of that at Hogwarts, of course, but it was different.
“Oh, no, of course not!” Jamie said when Natalie said she thought she saw her daughter. Jamie was relieved that it was Ondina and not Harper, for whatever reason. “Before you go, though –” Jamie asked, reaching out her hand to touch Natalie’s arm. “Thank you.” Jamie didn’t say what for, but she thought it was obvious. Natalie would know.

Natalie nodded, giving a soft smile, "it is nice to be able to just explore yourself and those relationships around you without worry about someone else. How they'd react or making them happy," she agreed. "I do hope you find love again, though," she added. Then Jamie spoke about quidditch and Nat's eyes widened and she nodded, "oh, it's quite, quite different. Better get used to attention," she warned. Natalie didn't mind attention, but she didn't play the game.
Jamie touched her arm and Natalie smiled at her softly. "Oh," she chuckled softly, she placed her hand on top of Jamie's on her arm, "you are always welcome to write or speak with me, Jamie. I don't know if you heard..." she grinned, "but I'll be working here next term."
@jamie (okay you do one more!! XD)

Jamie nodded vigorously when Natalie said it was nice to explore herself. She had needed the time out of a relationship, really, to find her new positive outlook. She wasn’t going to go rushing into anything new anytime soon, Jamie didn’t think, unless an opportunity arose that she couldn’t pass up. Love was a strange and fickle thing, and Jamie wasn’t going to say no to something amazing just because she enjoyed being single. “I didn’t know.” Jamie said slowly, a smile spreading across her face. “I’ll be sure to find you next term, then.” The year to come seemed like it was going to be better than the one that had just passed. She was going to ring in the New Year surrounded by her family, and she had a brand spanking new outlook on life, complete with a career plan and everything.

Natalie was glad Jamie seemed happy about the news of her coming to the school next semester. "I hope you do. I'll be in the library," she explained, chuckling again. She leaned forward and kissing Jamie on both cheeks as she gave Jamie's hand a little pat before moving on to find her younger daughter, Ondina. She was excited to talk with the girl, but she wanted to see how she was doing. She was glad she was able to speak with Jamie, though. She may not be Harpers girlfriend anymore but she was a really great person and Natalie fully hoped she'd come into the library and speak with her. Who knows, maybe Jamie would confide in Natalie about her next love....
@jamie (the end thanks boo <3)
