Ophelia laughed at Mina’s matter-of-fact logic in why staying with Callisto was better than her parents. She had yet to meet Callisto - she knew the woman worked for the Ministry of Magic, but that was about it. She supposed Koda would have her meet his sisters and brother when he felt ready, and Ophelia was not about to push anything. They had plenty of time; the baby was not due until May, which was five whole months away. Besides, she’d just gotten through telling Octavian and their father about her pregnancy, and that was enough dramatic theatrics for one week! She was pleasantly surprised that Mina agreed, albeit hesitantly, and bustled about, waving her wand to make the popcorn kernels pop into fluffy white pieces. She separated the popped corn into two bowls; she added butter and salt to one, and butter and sugar in the other. “Sweet and salty options,” she declared happily, bringing the two bowls over to the living room and setting them down on the coffee table. She loved Koda’s couch; if they really tried it could probably seat at least ten people, but Ophelia and Mina were just two. Plus the dogs; Hawk hopped up as Ophelia settled down on the couch and rested her head on her bulging belly. “Hawk enjoys feeling the baby kicks,” she told Mina with a giggle. She turned on the television and scrolled through the list of movies, gently scratching behind Hawk’s ears. “Oooh, what about Indiana Jones? I haven’t watched the Raiders of the Lost Ark in ages,” she suggested excitedly. mina pandora oliveiraend on your next post!

Mina stood still, cup of tea in her hands, watching Ophelia move around with ease in Koda’s kitchen. It looked like she had done that once or twice. Maybe a couple dozen times. Still, it was rather impressive how fast everything went with the use of magic. Mina preferred being slow and muggle-like, getting things on her own without the use of her wand. Callisto was different though, and wouldn’t hesitate to use it for everything. On that note, it probably had something to do with work. Mina was constantly having to charm books back into their spots on the store shelves; the last thing she wanted to do when she was home was to use magic more. Being out and about with muggles was liberating in that sense. Ophelia made two separate bowls, stating one was sweet and the other salty. Impressive. She had to give her that one. “Maybe I had the wrong impression of you.” Providing snacks was a quick way to Mina’s heart after all, especially crunchy things. Off to the couch it was then. Hawk obviously had no reservations about jumping up next to Ophelia, but it seemed like Darsha was having a good time on the floor with Mina’s dog. Mina tried to keep Titania off the couch at home, although her bed was perfectly fine. The white hair got everywhere, and she was sure Callisto didn’t want to de-fur the couch on a daily basis. Enough got up there without the dog’s help. Mina took a spot on the other end of the rather large couch. While she was starting to get used to Ophelia, it was still weird. She wasn’t that bad though. Trying not to be anti-social, she smiled as Ophelia said that Hawk liked to feel the baby kick. “Indiana Jones?” Mina was pretty sure she had heard of that movie before. It was old right? Raiders of the Lost Ark made it sound like an adventure film though, and she was fine with that. “Sure. Never seen it, but there’s a first for everything right?”[THE END]
