“Well you did always like the color green - I suppose you were just born to be a Slytherin,” Adeline teased her elder brother. She had always been intrigued by the fact that she and her siblings all belonged to different houses; a part of her was a bit sad they did not have a fourth sibling that was a Hufflepuff though. There was a family though, Muggleborns, that had one per house; the older sister was a Ravenclaw like she was. “Then we can go to the sushi place?” she asked him eagerly, bouncing on her toes a little. She knew if she wheedled Royal enough he would consent of course; he was stubborn but then again so was she. It was a Shacklebolt trait, it would seem.
Adeline twirled around, her smile fading slightly at Roy’s next comment. “Thanks, it’s getting a little better now that I’ve been there a few months. But I’m actually considering growing my hair out - what do you think?” she asked him curiously. She had had short hair for as long as she remembered, as had Abby. Perhaps now was the right time for a change. She wondered how she would look with longer hair; good she hoped, but definitely a discernable difference from her twin sister.

Royal snorted when Addie suggested that his fondness for watching her and Abby eat smashed peas came from his fondness for the color green and his pride for the Slytherin house. “I’m still partial to orange, but there are no Hogwarts houses that have orange as their color.” Gryffindor came closest, since if you mixed scarlet and gold you’d make orange, but obviously that hadn’t been where he was placed. “Yes, we can go to the sushi place.” Royal said with a good-natured smile. He just couldn’t hold Addie back from something like that, which she was so obviously excited about. “Though we could also save that for when you bring a gentleman caller for me and Abby to meet.” He teased. Then Addie could have her choice of food and her choice of partner.
Addie suggested that she might grow out her hair, and Royal nodded slightly. “That would look good on you.” He said with a smile. He didn’t have anything on which to base that assertion, but sometimes it was the responsibility of an older brother to lie to preserve his sister’s feelings.

Addie smiled triumphantly as Royal finally relented and agreed to go to the sushi place. “Ohh Royal you will not regret it I promise!” she exclaimed happily. She turned a light shade of pink as Royal suggested bringing a gentleman caller of her own to the restaurant. “I don’t plan on bringing any men to meet you or Abby any time soon,” she told him. As she said that though, she noticed none other than Lysander Scamander walk into the ballroom, magic eyeball and all, and she couldn’t help but smile a bit.
“Thanks Roy,” she said when he agreed she’d look good with longer hair. She glanced over at Lysander again; he was all alone, the curly haired brunette he’d walked in with had gone off with her sisters’ friend Casey. She looked back to Royal and smiled. “Go on you, get back to Jonah,” she said, pushing his arm playfully. She paused, then pulled him into a quick hug before heading off to say hello to her new friend.
