The appearance of Dan and Irina made Louisa smile a little more, and take a step towards them. She hadn't had a chance to respond to Frederick though, unfortunately. "Thank you." She returned each hug, but Dan's was followed by a quick kiss on his cheek and a hushed few words in German, so quiet only he would hear. "How are you?" She didn't mean in general, as he'd know. She meant if he was alright with so much emotions around. She always worried about him being exposed to so many people when it was difficult for him to control his ability.
Taking a step back, she smiled a litlte more, her eyes laughing as she took the flowers from Irina. "They're lovely, Irina. I still have much to learn, but I'm glad you enjoyed it." She humbly answered. She was by no means a master, not yet. One day though. That was when Louisa heard Dan's... almost demand, wanting to know who her other guest was. Her eyes softened, and she loosened the lid on her emotions just a touch, enough to let out that it was alright. Her eyes moved from her brother to Frederick and she smiled. "Irina, Dan. This is Frederick." She wasn't sure how else to introduce him to her brother and Irina. The nature of their relationship was.... well unusual to be perfectly honest.

Louisa asked, in German, how he was doing when he was near her, and he lowered his voice to answer. "Fine. Except this guy was on some emotional roller coaster," he answered rolling his eyes, taking Louisas arm and standing beside her. At his demanding tone toward the guy, Louisa tried to send him positive emotions, and Dan tried to take a deep breath. Irina, being the angel she was, introduced Dan for them, since he was just being all severe and harsh. He wasn't going to let up yet, though. This guy, greeted his girlfriend with a kiss on the hand and then gave him a nod in greeting as well. Frederick, Louisa introduced him. "Frederick. Dan. As said," Dan said, his tone still a little sharp. He moved in closer to his sister, "and... what brings you to the concert?"Irina Rose Krum@louisa @frederick

Irina couldn't help but let out a small giggle and felt her cheeks turn pink as Freddie grasped her hand and kissed it gently. Whoever this was, he was rather suave, she thought to herself. She heard Dan and Louisa converse in quiet German; she picked up that Louisa was asking how he was, but Dan’s answer was longer and a little beyond her grasp of the language. She was of course learning German in secret for her Christmas surprise to her boyfriend, but Lily so far had been insistent on romantic sayings rather than conversational German. She’d have to work on that. She raised her brow as Dan’s tone remained sharp; clearly he was wary of the older gentleman. Judging from the interaction so far, this Frederick fellow seemed to know Louisa, probably better than Dan knew. It was kind of adorable seeing Dan go into this protective mode with Louisa. She was used to having an older brother being overprotective in Nikolai, sometimes a shade too overprotective. To see a younger brother issue an unspoken challenge to Frederick was somewhat amusing. So she watched in silence, the scene in front of her unfolding; appreciating that the drama for once wasn’t surrounding her own relationship.

Once he finished kissing the girls hand, she giggled a little, her face reddening, and Freddie found that rather amusing.
Louisa introduced him, and Freddie was sure she was thinking the same as he. That she had no idea what she was supposed to introduce him as. He was fine with what she said, though, just his name. Then the brother, Dan, asked what brought him to the concert. Fred didn't blame the kid for being overprotective, but he felt it was a biiiiit much.
"Oh, Louisa and I are old friends," he said with a short shrug, "recently reconnected. She- she invited me," his eyes twinkled as he looked back at Louisa, thinking about their little inside joke as to why he came tonight. To see her profession.

Frederick's emotions? Oh, right. Of course they were disturbing Daniel. Frederick was far more flamboyant than both of them. Of course his emotions would match. "It's alright, Dan. Just breath." she softly suggested. She was... mildly surprised by how protective Daniel was being. Did he know anything about them he shouldn't? Had he figured anything out about the situation from Frederick's emotions alone? She was sure her own were on a tight enough leash to not give anything away but Frederick... maybe it's been a bad idea inviting them all on the same night.
Of course, Daniel's intense attitude didn't end there. And thankfully Frederick came up with a suitable explanation. It wasn't a lie. Just... not the entire truth. "I sent him an invitation, Daniel." she softly repeated, making sure to emphasis her brother's name just enough to let him know she didn't appreciate the slight hostility.

She instructed him to 'just breathe' in German and he tried to really. He gave her a look, basically trying to say that he expected a real explanation for this guys feelings. He wasn't surprised that Louisa was un-amused by his attitude. Freddie said they were old friends... which was fishy to Dan. But, Louisa did travel a lot, and he didn't know all the people she knew, of course. Louisa's confirmation of inviting Freddie did cause Dan to relax just a little. He nodded, then turning to Irina with a smile, "where did you get those flowers?" his emotions were still tense, as was his arm with Louisa, but he was trying to let up. A little. Freddie and Louisa, old friends. Uh huh. There was more to that story, but Irina was not going to be the one to ask that - she was actually surprised that Dan didn't say it out loud. She could tell he was tense, and though she was still amused by the whole thing she felt bad for him and laid a hand on his shoulder. "The flowers I...grabbed while nobody was paying attention during the intermission," she said, hesitating for a moment as she realized she had no idea whether or not Freddie was a Muggle or a wizard. Louisa had chosen a Muggle career path, so she was leaning towards him being a Muggle. Still, there was something vaguely familiar about him, like she'd seen his face somewhere before. She turned back to Louisa. "Do you have plans now? We were hoping to take you to dinner," she asked the elder Hoh hopefully. She almost invited Freddie along, but the vibe she was getting from her boyfriend stopped her. She'd have to see what Louisa said first.

Freddie didn't speak any German, really, maybe a little here and there. A lot of people in Germany spoke English, at least where he was, so it didn't really mean much to him. It was kind of nice, actually, not being able to understand what Louisa and Dan were whispering to each other. They had a connection, a strong one, clearly. Freddie admired that. He and his sister were also incredibly close.
Louisa confirmed that she had invited him, giving a little firmness to her brothers name, and Freddie smiled brightly at the trio in the room. "Yes, and what a lovely concert it was, no? I'm amazing that Louisa has such talent-" he didn't really want to give away that he didn't know what Louisa did for a living until now, but it was a tad late for that.
Irina explained where she got the flowers, causing Freddie to grin. He was sure that Dan at least knew about Louisa being a witch, Irina probably did too. When she mentioned dinner, he decided to answer the question, "we could always go to the Leaky. Though, it's not the most fancy place," he didn't realize that he wasn't exactly invited yet.

Daniel wanted answers. He wanted an explanation to all of this. Hell, he deserved one. Something of this.... magnitude shouldn't be kept secret. When it had all happened though.... Daniel was only just begining to develop him abilities as an Empath. He was so vulnerable, and sensitive at that time. And Louisa had been so busy. Her career had only just begun to really take off. As he gave her that look, Louisa just slowly nodded, silently agreeing. But not now. She'd tell him... when Frederick wasn't around. This sort of situation would be a bit sensitive, and she didn't feel like Daniel would appreciate Frederick's usual chipperness.
Louisa finally stepped away from her brother, gently pulling her arm free so she could take the flowers over to the vanity. With a wave of her hand, the vase filled with water and Louisa set the flowers inside. "It's alright, Irina. Frederick is a Wizard." They didn't need to worry about anything getting out. She'd turned back to her visitors just in time to hear Irina's offer. Uh oh. Frederick had already responded before Louisa had a chance to figure out how to address this situation. After a moment's consideration, she made a decison. "No, no other plans for tonight." Basically, act as if nothing was wrong.

Louisa nodded, and that was good enough for him, for now. He would let up a little on the guy, but not completely. Not until he had some idea what was going on. Louisa moved away, taking the flowers to the vanity, and Dan reached for Irinas hand as dinner was discussed. Louisa confirmed that Frederick was a wizard, which was a relief to Dan. He didn't want to have to be cautious about the words he said to his sister tonight. Granted, he couldn't talk about his ability still, but that was all right. Frederick suggested they go to the Leaky. Dan wasn't expecting another person, but he figured the guy would come since Irina asked Louisa right in front of him. He wasn't sure about it yet, but Louisa said she had no other plans so he nodded once, turning back to Louisa. "Well, let's gather your stuff and get going. Frederick," he said, turning back to the man, his voice still strained, "no of any fancier places around here?" he was trying to be nice but.... obviously failing. @frederick @louisa Irina Rose Krum

Irina watched Dan carefully during his interaction with Louisa and her gentleman caller, but felt a little relieved when he took her hand. She gave it a little squeeze before turning back to Freddie. “I thought you looked familiar; you’re the new director of the wizarding orphanage aren’t you?” she asked interestedly. She knew her housemate was dating a girl who lived at the orphanage over the summer, and had remembered reading Freddie’s name in the Daily Prophet when he’d been announced as the new director. Some names stuck with her; he had a girls’ middle name if she remembered from the article, and that was probably why. When Dan asked if there were any fancier places around here other than the Leaky Cauldron, Irina felt that feeling of relief again. She hadn’t gotten all dressed up in this gorgeous dress and heels to dine at the Leaky Cauldron after all! “What about L'Etranger Restaurant? It’s this French Japanese fusion sort of place. My dad took me when we were school supply shopping in the summer and it was to die for.” It was also a few doors down from the dress shop where Irina had spotted and fallen in love with her Yule Ball dress. It wasn’t in the window anymore of course, but the day had a lot of good memories attached to it. @frederick @louisa @daniel clicky its a real restaurant

Louisa confirmed that he was a wizard, and Irina asked if he was the director of the Orphanage and he nodded excitedly, "yes, I am! Thank you for noticing," he joked, straightening his bow tie. He was incredibly proud of his position, because it took some work to get there and he was just happy to be doing the job that he'd always looked forward to doing.
Then, Dan asked if he had any suggestions for a restaurant. His tone was still.... sketchy, at best, but at least he seemed a little chilled. Not really. Before Freddie could answer, Irina gave her own suggestion. Freddie nodded, "that works," he said, stepping over beside Louisa. "May I take your arm?" he offered her.

Louisa could still hear that small bite behind Daniel's tone. It wasn't nearly as strong as before, but still there. To be honest she was very confused about his hostility towards Frederick. Despite having such a firm grasp on her emotions she couldn't stop that confusion from seeping out just a touch. She wasn't sure what Daniel had felt to put him on guard. If he was simply grumpy because of dealing with so many people's emotions in general or if it was something about Frederick. Either way, she hoped he would settle down soon. The last thing she wanted was her brother at odds with Frederick tonight.
Louisa let out a soft breath as she slipped the brace off her wrist and set it on the vanity. She didn't say anything as she picked up her purse and dropped a few items from the vanity in it, including a cell phone she had to use for work. The perks of living and working in the muggle world. They'd finally seemed to decide on where to go just as she turned back to face her guests and brother. Fredrick stepped up beside her, and with his usual gentleman and charming demeanor asked to take her arm. Louisa's expression, to no surprise didn't change. She took a moment to glance at her brother, as if silently telling him to behave, before looking back at Frederick and offering a small smile. "Yes, of course."

Orphanges, French restaurants, arm taking. Dan awkwardly lifted his arm toward Irina, "take my arm before I explode," he muttered. He could feel Freddies emotions like loud fireworks and, meanwhile, Louisa was still wanting him to behave while giving away no emotions of her own. For once, he wanted her to make them known. He moved tot he front of the group, bringing Irina along with him. "Lead the way, my dove," he said to her... partly to mock Freddie, and partly as a term of endearment. Why was he so irritated with Louisa having a ... male friend? It freaked him out to no end, especially since the guy did nothing to mask his emotions. most people tried to hide at least a little, but this guy was just like a bomb waiting to go off, obvious and beeping loudly, but you didn't know which wire to cut. @louisa Irina Rose Krum@frederick

Irina had to stifle a small laugh as Dan awkwardly offered his arm to her; she knew he was doing it to one up Freddie. Still, Rina took his arm with a smile. "It's only a five minute walk, we'll be there shortly," she reassured them as the couple took the lead out the doors to the street. When they were mostly out of earshot of Louisa and Freddie, Irina squeezed Dan's arm, thinking of a beautiful mountainside sunset to maintian her emotions as calm and serene. "Protective much?" she whispered, then patted his arm. "He doesn't know about you...what you can feel. If he did he would be...less enthusiastic, shall we say." She reached up and kissed his cheek gently, before ushering the foursome into the restaurant.
They were seated after a short wait, in a corner booth which Irina was thankful for; Dan's emotional overload was already evident, so the further they were from other parties the better. The waiter wordlessly handed them menus and whisked away; Irina opened up her menu and studied the options. "Hm...anyone have any interest in splitting something for an appetizer? Oysters, perhaps?" she suggested. Perhaps sharing food would subdue the general feeling of the evening so far, but Irina wasn't going to hold her breath. So instead, she leaned over to Daniel. "Just hold my hand and squeeze it tight if you need to," she whispered with a small smile.
