january announcement
Hey guys! Happy New Year! We are quickly approaching IC January but consider this the very first announcement of the new year! Before I start with all the new announcements, please go vote for the OTMs! Voting ends January 25th!
Alright friends, so we have a few changes coming to the board. It was stated in the last announcement (and changed in the rules,) that instead of having 2 in character threads to make a new character, you will need to have 25 in character posts, giving room for 5 ooc ones to make 30 all together. You may not reserve canons or wanted ads if you are unable to make a character yet. Staff will be keeping an eye on this. Along with this rule, we are really going to be paying attention to activity as a whole. So, this is what we are going to be doing:
The staff has noticed an increased amount of threads dying. Each month, staff is going to be keeping track of how many threads you let die or characters you drop. If you let 5 threads die each month, you will be contacted. And there will be consequences if you become a repeat offender from this point on. The way that system will work:
So, if you don't already had an up to date tracker... try to make one! If you need help organizing one or finding one, please contact me! I am more than happy to help you make one.
Along with that, threads in the RAPID FIRE board will be moved to the archives if they lay dormant for a month. :]
We also want to please reiterate that you DO NOT push your want ads on people. If people ask, please send them a PM and do not advertise them in the cbox. Advertising in the cbox is, after all, not permitted. ;]
From here on out, we also want you guys to know that if you decide to drop a character we would prefer you keep them dropped. However, you will be able to resurrect one character ONE time. But we WILL require that you change them up a bit to prevent dropping them again. Because if you drop that character a second time, you WILL NOT be allowed to resurrect them again.
Please take a look at this thread for our new rule about IC consequences for IC actions. Staff will be strictly enforcing this rule! Just as well as we will be interfering in threads if we do so feel the need. :]

- 1st month of letting 5 threads die: You will receive a PM from the staff saying how many threads became discontinued on your turn and you will not be permitted to start or join any threads classified as OPEN. Plot or character specific threads are not included.
- 2nd month of 5 threads dying: Second warning and temporary ban on taking want ads.
- 3rd month: You WILL have to make a thread tracker if you haven't already and you will have a temporary ban on creating ANY character, period. All your characters much reach 50+ posts before the ban is lifted.
- 4th month: You will be required to drop a character. You will have a character creating ban for a two month period in which you cannot let threads dies so please don't reach this level.
