hello there, my name is draco lucius malfoy but you can call me malfoy. i'm forty two years old so that makes me an alumni year at Hogwarts, where I resided in slytherin house. You could say I'm ambitious, cunning, resourceful but I personally think that I am arrogant, selfish, and sarcastic. People say I look a lot like charlie hunnam, but I don't really see it...

draco grew up as the spoiled son of lucius and narcissa malfoy. he has always lived a privileged life, getting what he wants. years later, draco would do the same with his own son, giving him whatever he wanted. however the reasoning was perhaps a little different because draco had learned the hard way how someone could see someone then lose them the next day. all that his son ever wanted was books, something that draco never just wanted. draco had always wanted everything as a child. as a man, draco has proven that he still wants everything that he desires, meaning he will go about anyway to get something that he wants. even if he has to intimidate others or demand respect from them, much as he had done with crabbe and goyle. the wizarding world doesn't have much respect to give to the malfoys as it did back in the day, but he still demands it from people. draco is still very arrogant, believing his family to be better than others. he especially holds this belief since half-bloods have begun to appear more as the years have gone on. however, if there is one noticeable difference, it is the fact that draco no longer uses the word - mudblood. if there was one thing that draco did after the battle of hogwarts, it was that he apologized to hermione. it has slipped out a few times in reference talking about muggleborns, but now he no longer says it to someones face to insult them. in fact, draco doesn't seek out to mock the trio at work unless they just happen to run into each other. even then, it is nowhere near as bad as it was during their school years, but if it is brought on from ron, he'll say something that'll remind them of their school years.
with the murder of the first year girl, some have begun to point the finger at draco. sticking to that day in the astronomy tower, draco has not killed anyone with the killing curse. draco intends to not kill anyone because that is just who he is, especially after seeing his friend burn to death in the room of requirement. since the battle of hogwarts, draco has not had to use any of the unforgivable curses on anyone though is willing to. he is very willing to protect his family if needbe through the use of the two curses that he has used previously. as for the killing curse, he is still reluctant to use it thus it is believed he'd actually incapacitate the person and send them to azkaban rather than kill them. despite the few differences, draco reminds people of lucius a lot. he has taught his son basically how to be a respectable person, how to act. much as lucius had done with draco, he wants scorpius to bring pride to the name rather than shame. draco has even expressed his interests in scorpius keeping the bloodline pure. as with raising his son, draco has done his best to undo the damage done by the second wizarding war. draco has continued to develop his own magical ability and stay pretty much out of the spotlight. he hasn't done anything drastic to draw any negative attention towards him. if anything, he has proven himself to a department that thought he was going to be like his father. a death eater in disguise though with the years that have passed since the previous war, he hasn't done anything to make people guess he is the same as lucius. at least until the first year's death which has had fingers pointed at him, merely because he was missing work that day when he was suppose to have shown up after leaving his son at the platform. where draco had gone, no one knew. the ones pointing their fingers wouldn't have the slightest clue. that being because in all honesty, draco has chosen a new side for the upcoming war. very few people know of his change to being part of the order. when the girl had been murdered, he had approached harry with the desire to help find out whoever had done it. this was mainly because draco wants to keep his son and wife safe. neither of them know of what he has done so far regarding the murder of the first year girl since he desires to keep his involvement a secret for now, especially with the dark mark still on his left arm. this shows a great deal of growth in draco from following his family's footsteps in realigning with the wrong people again. draco had kept dumbledore's words in his mind since he had heard them about protecting narcissa and lucius, so that was a big step into him choosing the order over whoever was pretending to be the new lord voldemort.
despite looking to have turned over a new leaf, draco is still quite selfish. he rarely acknowledged crabbe and goyle as his friends until crabbe's death. he cares very much for his own family though is not into the idea of being that hero. the hero who dies to save everyone else, especially people that he barely keeps in contact with. draco is still very much that kid, who will run away from a battle if it is not to save himself or his family. some would call him a coward, but he is more into surviving and living out his life than risking his life for others. draco will also not share much of his knowledge about magic with others because then they'd know of any spells or curses that he knows of which would completely leave him open to any attacks. how draco still manages to stay this way is because he is capable of shutting off his emotions which had led him to become an occlumens in the first place. deep down, he only really cares for a few people and could careless about the rest. despite not caring about others, he will not kill them for he is not a killer. he is more words than actions, that is for sure.

everyone knows the history of the malfoys, especially draco malfoy. he was born the pride and joy of lucius and narcissa malfoy, being their only son. he grew up spoiled and privileged with anything that he wanted. if the boy wanted an expensive toy broom that other children wanted though could not have, draco received it. he did not know the meaning of the word 'no' from his parents growing up. as he grew up, he idolized his father, who was not the best role model for the boy. lucius had been a death eater in the first wizarding world, one of voldemort's most reliable along with bellatrix, barty, rodolphus, and rabastan. however with a young boy home, lucius had taken a step back from looking for his lord and started working at the ministry full time, fully focused on the task at hand. that being to ensure hogwarts was a great place to be a student at. as the years went by and draco's eleventh birthday approached, lucius had a strong desire for his son to go to durmstrang. durmstrang taught dark magic and was not overrun by muggleborns. however, narcissa refused for their only son to go to durmstrang which was so far away. eventually giving in to his wife's requests, lucius gave up the idea of durmstrang. on draco's eleventh birthday, he received his hogwarts letter. it wasn't until the last day of july when his mother took him to diagon alley to get school supplies. it was on that day that he met harry potter. the two boys got along that day as draco shopped for robes with his mother or so he had thought. on the first day of their first year, draco offered his hand in friendship, telling harry that he would help him realize other wizarding families were better than others. the moment that harry told him that he could figure it out for himself, was the day that a lifelong dislike had begun.
throughout the years of schooling, draco made it his job to mock the golden trio (harry, ron, and hermione). he openly used the word 'mudblood' around hermione, who was a muggle born student. he intentionally caught the three outside the castle watching a dragon hatch out of its egg and told professor mcgonagall proudly about it, only to end up in detention with all three of them. during that detention, he was highly afraid of werewolves coming after them and had been stuck with harry. needless to say, draco ran away screaming when he had seen a black figure in the forest. draco awaited hermione's death during his second year with the return of the heir of slytherin, whom he wished he could have helped during that year. his third year was spent pretending to be a dementor any time that harry was around, since he had heard about potter fainting on the train. it was during his third year that he was hit by hermione, a hit that he never managed to get revenge on as he had ran from her. during his fourth year, draco had attended the quidditch world cup with his parents. it was during the world cup that he witnessed death eaters attack the campers at the game. it was also during this year that he was turned into a ferret by 'mad eye moody' for attempting to hex harry. whenever someone told him that mad eye was nearby, he would flinch or shudder at the thought of becoming a ferret again. when the yule ball came, he ended up attending the event with pansy parkinson.
during his fifth year, draco was appointed prefect of slytherin. not as great of an accomplishment as when his father had bought nimbus 2002s for the entire slytherin quidditch team to ensure he would become their seeker during his second year. despite that, draco used the power of being a prefect to his full advantage. he mocked the memory of lily potter and insulted molly & arthur weasley, resulting in harry, fred, and george fighting with him. it was also during his fifth year when the famous weasley is our king song became a smashing hit for the year. draco would later become part of the inquisitoral squad for dolores umbridge, assisting her in finding any students out when they were not suppose to be. he received fifty house points when he caught harry leaving the last dumbledore's army meeting. it was at the end of this year that lucius malfoy was imprisoned for assisting the death eaters in the battle that occurred in the department of mysteries.
before his sixth year at hogwarts, draco received the dark mark from lord voldemort. it was during that summer that he took the place of his father in the death eaters. voldemort gave him a task that no one had achieved yet, killing albus dumbledore. if he failed, his mother and father were to be killed. on the train ride to hogwarts, he used a charm on harry to fully bind him and then stomped on his face for being the cause of lucius' imprisonment. it was during this year that he managed to fix the vanishing cabinet. in preparation of killing dumbledore, he began to focus on his magical ability more. draco learned to block jinxes nonverbally and to not allow anyone in his thoughts (occlumency thanks to his aunt). draco also became one of the few death eaters capable of casting the patronus charm though it did not take a form of an animal, not until his adult years after the war. while focusing on repairing the cabinet, he became less interested in quidditch. he even paid someone to take his place in a game even though before he never cared if the team lost the cup or not. prefect duties were left off his mind despite the joy he had gotten from them before. he also skipped homework and ended up in detention, something unlike him. draco had always trusted snape though no longer trusted him during his sixth year, believing him to be wanting to take the glory from him. as the year went on, his body took a toll. draco became very stressed and afraid, under his eyes appearing grey with him losing weight as he spent most nights not eating or sleeping. he also spent time in the bathroom where moaning myrtle had taken up residence, crying in front of her. with the fear growing, he attempted to kill dumbledore twice. once with poison mead. once with a cursed necklace. both times resulted in other people getting hurt other than dumbledore. the fear was upped when voldemort promised to kill him, if he did not complete the task. during one of his visits with myrtle, harry stumbled upon him in the bathroom. before he could finish his cruciatus curse, harry used a curse on him resulting in draco almost dying from being sliced open. later in the school year, he managed to repair the vanishing cabinet which resulted in the confrontation between dumbledore and him. dumbledore was much weaker than he usually was, a perfect opportunity to complete the mission. however, draco had lowered his wand, incapable of murdering dumbledore despite all the years he had bragged about being capable of such things. unknowingly to him, he had won the allegiance of the elder wand after disarming dumbledore.
having left hogwarts after dumbledore's death, draco was left to reluctantly participate in death eater activities. he tortured people before his seventh year began. draco had attended his seventh year for the simple fact that it was run by death eaters then. however the last year at hogwarts was much different than before, he was no longer treated with respect. the malfoys had been placed on a lower status in the minds of death eaters' children after the marriage of remus lupin and nymphadora tonks. draco kept to himself for the final year. not everyone knew of his involvement with the death eaters getting into hogwarts the year before expect a few professors and slytherins. during the easter holidays, draco was home for the holidays to be with his mother and father (who had managed to get out of azkaban). it was anything, but a happy family holiday. during those holidays, the death eaters had managed to capture harry, hermione, and ron. bellatrix had asked draco to identify harry, who had a banged up face. even though draco knew it was harry, he pretended to have difficulty telling due to harry's face. during this, draco's wand was taken from harry leading draco to borrow his mother's wand after this. when the battle of hogwarts began, draco, crabbe, and goyle all ran after the trio. unlike previous years, draco lacked the same control over the two who had been his muscle for years. it was during this encounter that crabbe was killed due to the uncontrollable fiendfyre that crabbe had cast. harry, ron, and hermione had managed to save goyle and draco by grabbing them before they left the room. it was later during the battle when a death eater was uncertain of draco's loyalty that he was saved yet again by the trio. after the battle, his parents and him sat uncertain of their place in the great hall. they were pardoned from everything due to narcissa telling voldemort that harry was dead when in actuality, he was not. she knew he was alive though did not say anything since he told him that draco was safe.
unknowingly to others, there had been someone else who had stumbled upon draco when he had went to the bathroom to cry. it was just myrtle at first though a girl younger by two years had stumbled upon him there. draco knew her as being the younger sister of daphne greengrass, astoria. astoria was someone that draco grew to confide in after she stumbled upon him. he had attempted to hit her with the cruciatus curse at first, similar to when harry had found him though resisted when he saw entirely who it was. he never told her of his mission, but mainly the pressures of being the man that everyone had turned to, with the imprisonment of his father. just before the vanishing cabinet was repaired, the two had shared a kiss though they never spoke to each other again until after the battle of hogwarts. eventually she finished schooling and the two reunited as he was training to be part of the magical accidents and catastrophes department in the ministry. three years later, the two wed at the malfoy manor. it was three years later that they had their own son, scorpius hyperion malfoy. since marrying astoria, some would say he has grown a lot since his days in hogwarts though he is still as arrogant as ever. also, he is not quite the best of friends with harry still, only nodding to harry, hermione, and ron when they had seen all of their children off to school during scorpius' first year.
