hello there, my name is Alexander Revan but you can call me Alex. i'm 31 so that makes me an alumnusof Hogwarts, where I resided in Gryffindor house. You could say I'm bold, brave and chivalrous but I personally think that I am reckless, driven and vengeful. People say I look a lot like Wentworth Miller, but I don't really see it...

Alexander Revan is an angry, driven individual. Having to experience the real world at such a young age instilled a very cynical outlook on life into him. The things he'd seen by the time he was seven years old were things that scared many full-grown adults into inaction. Most of the time, Alex is quiet, observant, and cold on the surface. He does interact with others, but rarely outside of his job, and he tries hard to keep everything on a strictly professional level when working. He avoids letting people get close to him, because of his eidetic memory. Revan has total recall—he never forgets a single detail. This has had a detrimental effect on his psyche, because the pain of what he's gone through is as fresh today as it was twenty years ago, and that has twisted him from what he could have been to what he is. Alexander's creed is simple: slay evil immediately. And he follows this code ceaselessly, heedless of the law. When he knows someone is evil, based on the things they've done, he finds them and he ends them. The residents of the wizarding world refer to him as Fawkes, because Alex always wears a Guy Fawkes mask when he hunts down his targets. He feels compelled to—he can never forget their crimes, thanks to his memory, but he can put the memories to rest by granting justice to the victims. This is also why he is distant from everyone: he does not want more nightmares.
Despite this, there are times when Alexander's true personality emerges. Beneath the bitter, cold surface, lies the individual that the Sorting Hat placed into Gryffindor House. Alex is a fierce protector, an uncompromising friend, and he actually has a very real sense of humor. Before things got so bad for him, he loved to laugh and make others laugh. He loves dogs, and keeps three of his own around for that reason. He is passionate, caring, and just a little bit sarcastic, and is very strict but friendly to children. Children are Alex's biggest weak point—he opens up most readily to them, and harming them is the easiest way to get him to hunt you down. Alex loves potions and drink mixing, getting these often complicated mixtures perfect makes him feel good, and is one of the few benefits to having total recall.
One thing that makes Alex a dangerous individual is the fact that he's muggleborn. Alex is equally at ease in the wizarding world and the muggle world, and can slip from one to the other without hesitation. When he kills dark wizards, he tends to do it with muggle weaponry, either completely mundane or enchanted by him to work in some way, and when he kills muggle criminals, he prefers to use mundane magic that the Ministry will miss while leaving muggles with no clues to find him with. It's impossible for the Ministry to trace Alex with any degree of accuracy, as he is able to move money and items through the muggle world as he sees fit. For example, Alex bought his second wand, the yew wand, while abroad, then brought it back home through the muggle world, so that the Ministry doesn't even know this second wand exists, and he uses it for everything related to his vigilante activities.

As was the practice with students, Hogwarts marked down children who were magical blips on the radar from a young age for admission to the school upon reaching age eleven. While the practice was most often applied to purebloods who were all but guaranteed to have magic, Muggleborns were, on occasion, marked down, if the situation allowed it. Such was the case of young Alexander Revan, whose innate magical talent was sensed by Charity Burbage when the Muggle Studies teacher was touring the maternity ward of a downtown London hospital. While Charity did not speak to his parents and Alexander was himself a newborn, she took note of his name for the future, and marked it in the enrollment scroll at Hogwarts. This might seem like a stroke of good fortune—the Ministry monitored all magical activity, but knowing ahead of time would allow certain precautions to be taken that would let them avoid needing Memory Spells to resolve whatever incident the boy caused when his powers did manifest.
In this case, however, the fortune was anything but. When the Ministry fell under Death Eater control in 1997, so did Hogwarts. And Lord Voldemort got his hands on the enrollment scroll to make it easier to track and control the students. During this process, the names of young, muggleborn potentials were discovered, among them Alexander. And the Death Eaters, well they couldn’t have that, could they? So one night, they paid a visit to the Revans’ home. Alexander, who was a mere four years old at the time, was bound and held, forced to watch the horrible things the Death Eaters did to his parents. The ordeal was meant to break him, to drive him insane with grief and fear, so that his magic would explode outward and he would become dangerous—the twisted poster child for their pureblood campaign, a muggleborn with no control over magic. It failed. Alexander was still a mere child, but he had a will of iron and a stubborn streak a mile wide. Anger and grief consumed him, he cried himself to sleep only to be woken up and screamed until his throat was raw, but he wouldn’t do what they wanted him to. The Death Eaters had just written him off as worthless when Order members arrived, driving them off and saving Alexander…but not his parents.
Alexander was born with an eidetic memory, allowing him to perfectly recall everything about his memories as if they had only happened yesterday…including the emotions involved. For three years, his nightmares were haunted by the things he’d seen and heard that night. He thought the pain would never end. When Ministry officials approached him in late 2000 at the orphanage he’d been placed in, to tell him that those who tortured his parents had been captured and he had the right to attend their trial, Alex joyously accepted. At last…justice would be served. Though the memories themselves would remain fresh and raw forever, Alex slept peacefully that night.
It was the last restful night he would have. The trial was horrible for him. Not only were the Death Eaters completely unrepentant for what they’d done, they fully believed that they had been in the right, and their only “crime” was not managing to kill him along with his parents. And their punishment was to be sent off to a prison? To spend the rest of their days being taken care of in a place where they could be broken out of if some new evil rose up, let out to continue their brutality? Alexander’s nightmares resumed, but now they were filled with horrible people in black robes, looking at him as though he was a stain on the ground, unworthy of consideration or more than a glance. The injustice of it all burned, the nightmares and the knowledge that these monsters had not been adequately punished for their crimes finally got to Alexander. His bitterness at it all would influence his personality, turning him bitter and untrusting of authority.
He began to learn how to fight. He started with learning the basics of good exercise and how to throw a solid punch. By the time Alexander arrived at Hogwarts at age eleven, he was tougher than anyone else in his class. He threw himself into his studies. His nightmares continued. But Alex had learned a great deal of patience from his time being helpless. He was powerless now, but someday…Alex threw himself into his studies. He found a particular liking for Potions, Charms, and Defense Against the Dark Arts, even becoming the Captain of the Dueling Club in his sixth year. He also enjoyed a lot of success as a Beater in Quidditch, helping Gryffindor secure the Quidditch Cup three years in a row. He had a talent for hitting bludgers long distances to intercept enemy Seekers, to the point that the technique was called the AIRball by the commentators, in reference to his initials. Revan, for all his cynicism, aloofness, and desire to keep people at arm’s length, enjoyed his time at Hogwarts and made friends. He spent his summers learning to fight like a Muggle, finding ways to learn boxing, knife fighting, fencing, and how to fire handguns.
After leaving Hogwarts, Alex began to plan out his own justice. It took a few years to fully set up, but by acquiring a wand and supplies from several foreign countries and importing them to his home through Muggle shipping, Alex was able to create a massive plan of attack and enchant multiple Muggle weapons without the Ministry being able to find out. His attack utilized Muggle tools alongside wand magic, potions, and his own physical abilities and flying skills. He disabled an entire wing of Ministry guards without harming them and killed every confirmed Death Eater within the wing using only Muggle weapons and skills. His parents’ killers were among those killed. Though he took it off when he confronted them, Alex wore a Guy Fawkes mask and black robes otherwise, deliberately mocking the style of the Death Eaters by dressing up the same as them, except that his own mask was smiling. He allowed himself to be seen by one of the guards just before making his escape, bringing the legend of Fawkes to life.
After this episode, Alex had a sense of closure and settled down. He began to work as a bartender at the Fountain of Fair Fortune, using the gossip that most bars had to determine more crimes that were going unpunished, which he then took care of as Fawkes. But these episodes were smaller and quieter than his original rampage. Other than that, he maintained a PI office in London part-time, using his magic to quickly and easily solve cases and rack up a decent fortune in Muggle money, which he never needed to spend. He kept to himself as much as possible, though his old schoolmates occasionally visited him, and recruiters sometimes came around, wanting him to try out as a Beater for professional teams. Thus his routine became righting wrongs and serving drinks, which he was all too happy to do for the next few years.
But now, muggleborns and half-bloods are being attacked again, and Alex’s sense of injustice is boiling once more. Fawkes has stepped back into the spotlight, killing several Pureblood supremacists in response to the attacks on the Aurors. He wasn’t strong enough to fight back directly as a child. Now he was. And you know what they say about an eye for an eye and justice being blind…
