If They Were Muggles - Career Edition

This should be fun. What if your characters were muggles and they had professions/future professions like all us normal people have to deal with? I think some are pretty obvious parallels to typical jobs that we have, but hey, its for fun xD


grey xavier slater - journalist. I think this one is pretty obvious since he's going to suck as an Auror and would as a police officer as well.
@emile - big business owner. his goal (assuming he's not dead) was to always follow in his father's footsteps and own hotels and other businesses. I don't think that would change much here.
charlie marie weekly - veterinarian. no dragons, so dogs and cats instead xD sorrynotsorry Ondina.
cordelia regan smith - photographer. another obvious one based on her hobbies.
lancelot ray linley - musician/chef. yeah his FC is a musician, but he loves music. I could also see him moving back to the States and opening a BBQ place, because why not?
@scorp - surgeon. The only thing intellectually stimulating enough for him. Other than Rose.
mina pandora oliveira - dead in a ditch somewhere probably doing the same thing and working in a small shop. if not a bookstore, maybe a coffee shop or something.
blaise leo zabini - detective/lawyer. just look at his personality. he's be a pretty good detective I think, but also work really well as a lawyer, so either or.
lily luna potter - idk. whatever she wills to be I guess xD

@al - idk if this suits his personality but i could see him as a mechanic. weird right?
@henry - teacher. cause he loves people and he'd love to work with the kiddos
@jacob - police officer, he's in the right career!
@casey - paramedic or firefighter, pretty much what he's doing now.
@nikolaj - something with his hands, if he wasn't in jail.
@leigh - selling and collecting art, so he could make the money.
@ripley - lawyer. so she could argue for a living.
@dakota - he'd be a doctor.
@alexandre - professional gymnast! which he actually is in the muggle world!
@kit - football or some other professional sport. he's an athlete.

Irina Rose Krum -- she'd be an archaeologist for sure, later on a historian and a classics professor at a university since Slayer isn't an option for Muggles

@hermionejean -- Prime Minister of the UK, obvs.

@susanvictoria -- uh...whatever Muggle royals do.  Support a bunch of charities ect.

@finn -- he'd probably be in the army, serving his country with pride

calliope ivory fleming -- full time West End/Broadway performer

@louis -- oh god who knows.  He'd probably own one of those Adventure Camps, you know the ones where you can do all these adrenaline junkie activities for 2 weeks.  Or be a professional sky diver.

Ophelia Mae Teller -- I can actually see her owning  a party-planning business, she'd totally be good at that.  Or a clothing designer, but they'd have to be affordable so everyone can wear her designs!

@margaux -- she'd own a lingerie store, or an adult toy shop that's spread into a chain across the world.  Because Margaux.

@aerick -- he'd still probably be a bartender, and own a motorcycle

@eleanor -- PR/Communications for a professional sports team, likely soccer/football since her dad is a broadcaster for that sport.  Stay in the family business :3

@adeline -- if she's not hospitalized for her mental fragility, I could totally see her being a librarian.  I have no idea why, but I feel like she'd be super comfortable there.  Or own a bookshop

@stephen -- detective for hire, obvs.

Elaine Lyra Dupree -- if she's not dead or in jail she'd be a mob boss, let's be real.  Tony Soprano ain't got nothing on her  B)

@barbara - She would probably be in law enforcement like before, or, if her circumstances were still similar, she'd be working as a hotel maid.
@ginevra - She would be a former soccer player, instead of Quidditch. Like Mia Hamm or something.
@gwendolen - Just as she is now, she would be an aspiring actress.
@lucy - She would probably work for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in some capacity.
maxima ruqayyah greyback - She would become a nurse, probably pediatric.
parvati patil macmillan - She'd still be an advice columnist like she was previously, probably.
@tatiana - She would be a soccer player, looking to play professionally.
taylor renée jackson - No change. They would be working in an ice cream parlor.
@winifred - I feel like she would probably become a nursery school teacher or something, but I don't even know what she would do in the magical world. (Neither does she.)

@cecelia -- depends on whether or not bay was alive in this universe. >.> if she died without magical healing to save her, then cece would probably choose a career to pay penance for what she did, like...a nurse. or civic servant. or charity organizer.
@dustin -- pro soccer player.
@emilia -- still an author, but i think instead of being a model she'd want to be a private investigator or something so that she could find out what happened to her parents.
@fred -- tempted to say joke shop owner again, but i think he'd do well in cirque du soleil or something like that where he could meet a lot of cute boys.
@georgiana -- social worker. anything to help the orphans. ;-;
@imogen -- she'd probably be working some boring desk job and not realizing her passions in life. sad.
@jamie -- honestly, not a clue. i don't think she'd like soccer as much as quidditch. if you have an idea, yell for me
@lysander -- he'd be like jane goodall or something. he couldn't be a zookeeper because sadness but he'd like to learn more about animals in their natural habitats.
@natalia -- uh...doctor? idk. i don't think she'd want to be a muggle doctor because #lame. but still helping people? who knows.
@oscar -- still a historian. and also a professional juggler or something crazy (but pays the bills).
@poet -- still a poet, still a vigilante, maybe also an ex-cop or something of the sort.
@royal -- i could see the shacklebolt family being like the kennedys or something, except without the assassination. kind of. so career politician.
@seamus -- he'd own a nice little flower shop. c:
@theodosia -- pharmacologist, so she could make nasty poisons legally.
@viola -- not a clue man. maybe they'd have their own tv show a la mike rowe where they try a bunch of jobs but do none of them for real.
@xanthippe -- still a painter! she'd probably be the person who paints the landscapes that hang in model homes or something. lots of sunsets. lots of mountains. lots of fun. that would be if she lived, though, since in muggleverse it would be cancer that she was battling, not my made up disease lol.
@zytka -- she'd be literal misty copeland. so, dancer.

@roxanne - Activist. She'd be running organizations for refugees or orphans or women's rights or all of the above.

@padma - Headmistress of a school, or a professor at one of the big UK universities. (That was her plan before Voldemort happened, but she's also pretty awesome at running things.)

@antonia - Scientist, without a doubt. Biologist, in particular, working in a lab, finding cures (or poisons).

@jessica - Software developer. Basically, if she hadn't found out she had magic, that's what she would have done - she still dabbles in her free time.
