It was a late night but yet here she climbing the steps to the top of the Astronomy Tower. She had been wandering around the castle grounds earlier, and had even gone down to the Hog´s Head to visit Samira who just so happened to be part of the IA. She had talked to her friend about many things, including the current reason as to why she was heading up here in the first place. Sasha had been thinking about Walton a lot lately, she had been falling for him ever since she had met him, but hadn´t realized it until this summer. He had been doing many things lately this summer that had made her finally realize it all, the major thing was just how much he was doing for her sisters. She wanted to thank him and had sent him a message to meet her up here tonight.
Arriving at a door to the tower, she pushed it open and took a deep breath as she checked her surroundings. Sasha didn´t see him anywhere and she didn´t see anyone else up here for that matter. She was completely alone. But knew that it wouldn´t be long before he showed up here. She walked over to the battlements and leaned up against them. She looked out at the grounds and she could see several animals roaming around the grounds. Her gaze drifted up towards the night sky.
Watching the stars was always something that Sasha enjoyed. It almost always helped her to calm down when needed. And well tonight she needed to be calm. For the man she was talking to she had become good friends with him, but now that she found herself falling for him, Sasha was kind of scared a little bit. Questions like what if he didn´t feel the same, or what if they couldn´t stay friends due to her feelings. But her thoughts were cut short as she heard a faint noise coming from behind her. Sasha turned around and waited for whoever it was to come through the door.

It wasn’t that odd of a thing for Walton to be up and about walking the school at night. And tonight was no exception. However, Walton had a meeting of sorts to go to. It had nothing to do with his duties as a professor or oddly enough nothing to do with his duties as a member of the International Aurors. No he was meeting his fellow International Auror member who was also stationed at Hogwarts, and just so happened to be a nurse in the hospital wing here. Sasha had asked him to meet her up on the Astronomy tower tonight. He had been thinking about this meeting a lot since Sasha had asked him to meet her. They were good friends and also co-workers and apparently she wanted to talk about something. Walton had a feeling as to what it was about but he couldn’t be sure until he talked to Sasha.
Finally making it to the base of the Astronomy Tower after making his rounds and talking to some of the ministry aurors on his way here, Walton began to ascend the stairs that lead to the top of the tower. AS he climbed them and listened to the sounds around him, there was almost complete scilence except for the sound of owls flying about outside the windows of the tower. Upon reaching the door which was slightly ajar and he could see a lone figure leaning against the battlements. That figure was lit up by the moonlight and caught his attention, she was looking at him or rather in his general direction.
Walton couldn’t help but notice the feelings that sprang up within him, for he had felt them several times before. And he had a feeling that Sasha felt the same way, for he had caught her staring at him several times and he had seen something in those eyes that caught his attention. He wasn’t sure what it was but he was sure that he would be finding out tonight. He reached towards the door and pushed it open and stepped out into the moonlit tower. Once out there he walked towards Sasha “Well, what do we have here?” He asked as he leaned against the battlements next to Sasha. “I believe you wanted to talk to me Sasha, so what is up?”
Walton couldn’t help but think about how the summer had gone. He had been the one to tell Sasha about the murder of her father. When he did Sasha had cried and cried. He had been there to help comfort her and she had cried on his shoulder many times. Walton tried to get her to go talk to her sisters, whom he had been keeping an eye on since the death of their father. But now he had to wait and see if that was what she wanted to talk to him about.

There he was finally, the one person that she had wanted to talk to. At the site of him in the moonlight as he stepped forward made Sasha’s breath hitch a little. She wasn’t really all that nervous…ok yeah she was, because it wasn’t really a light topic that she wanted to talk to Walton about. He was the one who kept her going whether or not that he knew it. “Well, what do we have here?... I believe you wanted to talk to me Sasha, so what is up? She almost laughed but did not and held her mirth in check.
“As to what we have here, there is you, me, and the moonlight on top of the Astronomy tower.” Sasha said while pointing to the various things around them including themselves. “And yes I did want to talk to you Walton.” She began but was not sure as to where she should start off. “Well I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done for my sisters, it means a lot to me that you would go out of your way to look after them.” She said with a smile upon her face, as she looked at the man next to her. A silent tear fell from her eyes as she thought about what could have happened to her sisters, especially when she found out the their mother had abandoned them. Sasha wanted nothing more than to go after the woman, but she didn’t after having talked about it with Walton.
“And for me. You have always been there and well I am not sure how to say this….” Sasha said hesitantly as she looked away, wondering just how in the world was she supposed to tell him her feelings for him. Many scenarios began to play in her head as to what could happen. But she would never know what the outcome would be unless she went ahead and told him.

“And yes I did want to talk to you Walton…Well I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done for my sisters, it means a lot to me that you would go out of your way to look after them…And for me. You have always been there and well I am not sure how to say this….” Walton stood next to Sasha listening to her and then when she had started to thank him for what he had done for her sisters, and then he noted the pause in her voice before she thanked him for what he had done for her as well, Walton had turned to look at her. “You are welcome, but you should know that you do not have to thank me for what I have done and what I am still doing for you and your sisters.” Walton said in a sincere tone, for he was more than happy to help out. But obviously there was something more that he felt whenever he talked to or helped Sasha out.
“Say what exactly? Sasha you know that you can talk to me about anything you want, as I have told you before, and no matter what it is it will not ruin our friendship or anything else for that matter. So go ahead and tell me what is on your mind.” He asked Sasha as he did have a feeling as to what she was going to say. He was not worried that she would tell him to stop helping, no that kind of thing was for situations that called for, it like when people would be over bearing and try to do everything. No Walton was here for Sasha no matter what, it was also part of the reason why he had requested that Sasha be stationed at Hogwarts to help, for the woman was still a little emotionally unstable, but was coping with everything that her family was going through well enough.
And then he also had to try and get her to talk to her sisters. It was important that she do so as soon as possible. Because it would do them no good if she waited any longer to talk with them. “Sasha have you talked to your sisters at all since you have been here at Hogwarts, helping out?” He asked and if she had not then he was going to arrange a way to get her to talk to her sisters, because all of them needed to have a talk.

Sasha smiled at Walton as he told her that she didn’t have to thank him for what he was doing for her and her sisters. She knew she didn’t have to but she did, and she just wanted him to know how much she appreciated what he was doing. “Say what exactly? Sasha you know that you can talk to me about anything you want, as I have told you before, and no matter what it is it will not ruin our friendship or anything else for that matter. So go ahead and tell me what is on your mind.” Of course she knew that whatever she said wouldn’t ruin their friendship, she was just so nervous that Walton wouldn’t return the feelings, and then it would be awkward for them to be around each other.
Wait where were all those feelings coming from, no Sasha knew exactly what she wanted. All she had to do was steel her nerves and do this. But why was it so hard? It wasn’t like going into battle or anything or even having to interrogate someone for the IA those things were supposed to be difficult and yet she did them all of the time. If she could do that then she could tell Walton her feelings for him. “Walton I know I have said this before but thank you and I just wanted to tell you that ever since I met you, you have always been there for me and also we have become really good friends….” Sasha paused for a moment and she thought she saw the corner of Walton’s lips twitch as if they were going to form a smile on his face, but no he couldn’t feel the same way, could he? “I just wanted to say that I love you… I mean like you a lot.” There she had said it but she had screwed up. Sasha mentally berated herself for saying that she loved Walton where had that even come from? Did she really love him? What was going to happen now?
Sasha was looking at her feet as she waited for Walton to say something. He had asked if she had talked to her sisters yet, and the answer was still no. what was holding her back? Maybe once she let Walton speak it would help her not only figure out where she stood with him but to also figure out how best to talk to her sisters. Maybe Sasha needed one last little push in that direction.

“Walton I know I have said this before but thank you and I just wanted to tell you that ever since I met you, you have always been there for me and also we have become really good friends….” Walton knew where this was going and he felt the corners of his lips start to turn up into a smile. But he quickly suppressed that and gave Sasha an encouraging look as if to say go on. He could tell that this was definitely something that Sasha needed to say. And so he would let her. “I just wanted to say that I love you… I mean like you a lot.” At this Walton let a small smile appear on his face. He could tell that she was nervous about this and so he thought for a moment as he looked at Sasha, who was currently looking at her feet, unsure of herself, which was not usual. Since the first time that he had met her, Walton observed that Sasha was a very confident and determined person. But this was new.
Pushing off of the battlements that he had been leaning up against Walton took a couple of steps, closing the distance in between them. Once he reached Sasha he went ahead and raised his hand so that it was caressed Sasha’s cheek. He tilted her head up with his hand and looking into her eyes he said. “Well that is definitely nothing to be ashamed or unsure about Sasha. And I know you love me and to tell you the truth I love you too. I have for quite sometime now and I was actually going to tell you tonight.” After declaring that he loved her Walton pulled Sasha close to him and kissed her. This was right and it was what had been missing from his life. They had become friends a long time ago and apparently they were meant for each other.
Walton broke the kiss and looked into Sasha’s eyes and smiled as he stood there holding her, marveling at just how lucky they were to have each other. And now he was not going to let Sasha or her sisters suffer anymore, they needed to talk to each other. “Sasha, you need to talk to them. Maryn and Whitney were practically abandoned by your mother and they need a female figure in their life. They chose to stay here, and for that they are very brave girls, but they need to know that you are there for them. If you want I can have them come to my office and you can as well and then you can all sit down and talk. How does that sound?” Walton asked. It hurt to see them all not talking to each other. And if he was honest Maryn and Whitney were basically like sisters to him for that is how he saw them. Not just his pupils but also as sisters that is why he was going out of his way for them. But now he just had to get Sasha to talk to them.
