The best thing about the Alps? There was always snow on the ground, at least in the winter. Dustin had always hated it when he wanted to do something snow-related back home when there was no snow on the ground, but that wasn't a problem here in his cabin on a mountain. The second best thing about the Alps? It offered a plethora of opportunities for him to quote his all-time favorite Disney movie, Frozen. Starting with the morning, when he unexpectedly woke up far before he normally did, just as the sun was rising. Equally surprising as the fact that Dustin was awake was that Vi was asleep: hadn't she called herself a morning person? Dustin jostled Vi's shoulder, and then leaned close to her, so he was whispering right against her ear. "Vi." He said, dragging out her name as long as he possibly could in one breath. "The sky's awake, so I'm awake!" Then he flopped dramatically across her, hoping that, combined with his jostling and speaking, would wake his girlfriend up.

Viovinnia hadn't thought that sleeping next to Dustin would be as nice as it was. She slept so soundly through the night that she felt refreshed but oddly nowhere near ready to wake up. It was a rather nice feeling. She had even gone to bed without setting an alarm. Not that she usually needed one; her body normally woke her up when the sun was in the sky. But as Vi lay in bed, still dreaming of the blonde Quidditch player that lay beside her, she heard her name. At first she thought it was in her dream. Then she felt a weight upon her and the words to follow told her she wasn't dreaming anymore. Slowly, Viovinnia opened her eyes and looked down to see Dustin sprawled out over her. "Well, good morning to you too," she yawned quietly and closed her eyes and smiled contently. Viovinnia was probably never more vulnerable than when she was asleep or just waking up and seeing Dustin this early... it was rather nice.

Vi didn’t seem too mad at being awoken by him sprawling across her, which was good, since Dustin didn’t have a backup plan for what would happen if she snapped at him. As things were, though, he was fine. Dustin shot up to sitting instantly, and then maneuvered himself so he was straddling Vi, hovering over her face. His girlfriend’s eyes were closed again, as if she was ready to go back to sleep, but Dustin simply couldn’t allow that. “It snowed overnight.” Dustin informed her, still hovering insanely close to her face. It was probably a good thing that her eyes were closed, Dustin thought to himself, otherwise she’d probably be freaked out by how close he was to her. Then again, Dustin’s proximity had never seemed to bother Vinnie. “Do you wanna build a snowman?” He asked her, grinning at his own movie reference despite the fact that Viovinnia probably didn’t know it was a reference in the first place.

Viovinnia supposed it was maybe the change in altitude that had her feeling so sleepy, but maybe it was the sugar coma from eating all of the gingerbread cookies with Dustin last night. Vi didn't normally eat much sugar, so it didn't surprise her she was still feeling a little groggy. Though when Dustin sat up to straddle her body and hover his face over hers, her eyes widened but a smile slowly started forming on her face. "Oh, really? It snowed in the mountains?" She taunted him playfully. "Build a snowman?" She repeated with a light chuckle at the thought. "This early? You didn't strike me as a morning person."

Dustin snorted when Vi feigned surprised at the fact that it had snowed in the mountains. “For the first time in forever.” He confirmed, chuckling to himself again at his ability to slide references to a movie into a conversation without his conversation partner knowing he was trying to do it in the first place. Vinnie seemed dubious that now was the best time to do it, especially since they had already confirmed his inability to function in the morning, but there was a first time for everything. “We have to make at least ten when we have access to so much snow.” He told Vi, leaning down randomly to peck her lips. “Ten is my snowman-making quota for the entire winter season, so if I get them all out of the way now, I can spend the rest of our time in the snow doing fun other things.” Like finding another pond to ice skate on or something. “Please?” Dustin added, batting his eyelashes at Vi.

Viovinnia couldn't help but admire the way Dustin was so unabashedly himself, not just around her but all the time. And he was such a happy, outgoing, and optimistic person... it made Vi want to be a better person. If only her family could see her now; sitting in bed with a boy who was excited to go make snowmen. She would probably be disowned for even joking about such an instance. And the thought of that brought a smile to her face.
The smile on the Slytherin's face widened when Dustin's lips pecked her own. It was weird, but Viovinnia couldn't see herself tiring of the feeling she got whenever she felt his lips on her own. "Ten?" She repeated with a chuckle in disbelief. Vi placed her index finger to her chin and pretended to give the idea another moment of thought. "Hm... what kind of other things?" She asked him pointedly, mainly just to prolong her sitting in bed to mess with him. It was funny how Dustin Bainbridge brought out the child in Viovinnia Nott that never got to live the way a normal child probably should have.

Dustin grinned at Viovinnia when she repeated his comment about ten snowmen. He knew that it was a lot – ten of anything was a lot, when you really stopped to think about it – but it was a fun challenge to make himself meet, and it got him out of the house when he would have otherwise just sat in his room enjoying the warmth of the indoors. Or, in this case, it got him out of bed when he would have otherwise just sat there holding Vi. Dustin cocked his head at Vi and raised his eyebrows when she asked what other kind of things he would be doing with his free time after meeting his snowman quota. He leaned close to her, pressing their foreheads together, and gave her a half-smile, half-smirk. “I don’t know.” He said, his voice deepening into something akin to a growl. “Maybe something like…” Dustin didn’t finish his question. Instead he leapt backwards off the bed, snatching the blankets with him. “Making a blanket fort!” Dustin’s smile split open, and he was rather proud of himself for his trickiness. “Come on, come on, come on!” He shouted. “Snowmen, then blanket fort!” He didn’t actually want to make a blanket fort, but Dustin figured Vi would be less inclined to stay in bed if she didn’t have anything warm (or anyone warm) to snuggle with.

Vi probably never would have even considered making a snowman before but now, as it were, she was actually contemplating getting out of bed to make a snowman. With a boy. A boy she liked. A boy she really, really liked. Oh, if brother could see her now. Theodorus's voice rang in her head. "I told you so." But then Dustin was leaning in close to her, and it wasn't often that Viovinnia Nott found herself struggling to breathe but boy, did Dustin Bainbridge really tend to take her breath away. Her eyes raised in curiosity as Dustin lowered his voice, their foreheads touching. The Slytherin found herself slowly biting her lip to stop herself from planting a smooch on the Gryffindor right then and there, but then he was up and jumping away from the bed and taking the blankets along with him.
The glare on Vi's voice could have killed a person, she was sure of it. But her smile betrayed her. "Okay, okay," the blonde waved her hands in defeat as she sat up in bed. "But you have to make up for this later," she pointed an index finger at him, pretending to be threatening. "In the blanket fort." She nodded once in affirmation.

Few people were talented enough to make Dustin fear for his life while also smiling at him, but Vi proved that morning that she was on that list. She obviously wasn’t a fan of having her blankets snatched away from her, which was fine by Dustin – that was kind of the point. And since Vi did agree to get out of bed to make a snowman with him, Dustin considered the glare worth it. “I will make it up to you.” Dustin promised. He began bustling around the room, searching through his suitcase for suitably warm clothes. Dustin glanced over at Vi. “We might have to get creative with our clothing.” He told her. Since Vi’s suitcase had been lost, they really only had enough clothes for one person. Dustin’s Transfiguration skills were good enough that getting the clothing into a form that Vi could use shouldn’t be a problem, but he worried about the amount of clothing. Technically he could rip something into shreds and then Transfigure clothing out of that… but it wouldn’t last. “Unless you just want to wear all the blankets outside.” He teased.

Vi crossed her arms somewhat indignantly and nodded at him once. "You better," she half joked at the Gryffindor. Vi didn't doubt that he wouldn't, but she liked giving him a hard time anyway. She watched as Dustin began moving about the room and she raised in eybrow at him. "Get creative?" She repeated through a small chuckle. How on Earth were they going to get "creative" with their clothing? Then it hit her. Vi had forgotten her luggage had gotten lost. She bit her lip, immediately thinking of any and all ideas as to how to keep herself warm. Then Dustin came up with an absurd idea. An idea that Viovinnia would have never even considered in her life. She looked up at Dustin for a moment and then blinked. "Okay," she shrugged simply.

Dustin rolled his eyes when Vi said that he’d better make it up to her. He was already thinking about all the ways he could do that, but most involved things he wasn’t supposed to say (or think about) in polite company. Vi’s answer to his comment about the blankets, though, drew a more pronounced reaction. “Wait, really?” Dustin asked, more than slightly shocked that any self-respecting pureblood would agree to the idea of wearing blankets instead of clothing. “We’ll have to use a couple of Sticking Charms so you can use your hands.” Dustin muttered to himself, continuing to throw out clothes for himself to change into as he tried to figure out their plan. “You might look more like a marshmallow than a person.” Dustin warned. Then again, wasn’t that the case with most winter wear? In an effort to add a lot of insulation, the things always came out looking rather puffy, even when they were charmed to produce heat and eliminate the need for excess material.

The reaction that her answer had brought out of Dustin brought a satisfied grin to Viovinnia's face. "Really," she nodded once in affirmation. Vi rarely went with her gut feeling, and now that she was she felt an overwhelming sense of weird excitement in her chest. She had always been told to act a certain way, to do what was right and go with your head; the smart way. Vi knew following your heart wasn't always right, she wasn't naive, but she had never really... done it. And it felt amazing. Viovinnia shrugged at Dustin's warning that she would likely look like a marshmellow. "I am at your mercy this time, Bainbridge," she raised her hands up in surrender this time. "Do your worst." She smirked up at him.

Vi seemed to glean some sort of pleasure from surprising him, not that Dustin could blame her. He was the same way, always seeking to keep her off balance. She was the most her that way, when she hadn’t already planned everything that she was going to say to him. That was when she was Vinnie, not Vi or Viovinnia. It seemed that she was willing to put her body on the line, leaving herself open to him doing all sorts of things with the blankets. In order to wrap her properly, Dustin needed to divest her of the rest of the blankets that she had held onto. “I think you’re going to regret that, Vinnie.” Dustin said playfully, walking over to her and placing a soft kiss on her shoulder before wrapping the first blanket around her like a toga, to protect her torso. He continued to wrap blankets around her, with as much artistry as he could manage while also keeping all the things that needed to be covered, covered. Dustin finished, and grinned at Vi. “My work is complete.” He announced. “Go find a mirror.” Dustin said with a smirk.

Viovinnia had realized a while ago that always wanting to keep Dustin on his toes kept her very much the same way. No one else had ever really challenged her the way Dustin was, and it brought out a side of her that even she wasn't used to. But she wasn't complaining. Vi playfully rolled her eyes when Dustin said she was going to regret it; her heart skipping a little beat at the nickname he often used for her. "Try me, Dustie," she smirked, throwing out a nickname of the same caliber.
The Slytherin stood fairly still as Dustin approached her and began wrapping her up in blankets, but not before he planted a kiss on her shoulder which made a shudder run down her spine that she hoped went unnoticed. Even though the two were always bringing out the best parts of one another, there were still some aspects that Vi was shy letting show. And the fluttery, girly feeling that Dustin consistently gave her was one of them. Viovinnia bit her bottom lip as Dustin continued to wrap her in blankets to hide the grin that was threatening to take over her face. When Dustin announced that he was done, Vi moved to walk toward the bathroom to view herself in a mirror and rather surprised to find it was a little hard to move. She let out a laugh as she tried to manuever herself through the doorway. "You've managed to turn me into a marshmallow!" She would have turned back to see the look on his face, but she could barely turn her head. The whole thing made it impossible for her to wipe the smile off of her face. "So does this mean you're going to carry me outside, then? Since I can hardly move?" Now Vi was the one smirking again.

Dustin grimaced slightly when Viovinnia called him Dustie. The name Vinnie was cute – the name Dustie was just gross, especially for him, a young adult man. Dustie sounded like a girl’s name. Maybe a Slytherin girl’s name? In any case, it definitely didn’t suit him nearly as well as Vinnie suited his girlfriend. He was sure that if he tried to say that, Vi would argue the point, though, so Dustin just stuck her tongue out at her instead.
He watched Vi waddle away to the bathroom so that she could look at herself, and bent his hide to hide a smirk when she struggled getting back through the doorway to see him. She accused him of turning her into a marshmallow, and Dustin shrugged his shoulders. How could he deny the truth? “You’re a very attractive marshmallow.” Dustin said, a sly grin creeping onto his face as he stepped closer to her, moving to kiss her neck gently. “A very delicious-looking marshmallow.” But, Dustin hadn’t spent all of that time wrapping Vi up in the blankets so that he could unwrap her again, so he stepped back before he accidentally undid all of his hard work. “Carry you? Vinnie, I added twenty pounds of blankets!” He could definitely carry Viovinnia on her own, but with the extra weight and bulkiness of blankets, that was asking for trouble. “I have a better solution.” Dustin said, taking out his wand again and pointing it at his girlfriend. “Levicorpus!” He said with a laugh.
