overall personality:
When first meeting Alex many would comment upon his ability to make them either smile or raise an eyebrow, this is achieved entirely through his open nature and extroverted optimism. Friendly by nature Alex isn’t one to turn away company, especially since he craves it so much. This need for friendship ultimately stems from the massive inferiority complex he holds; quiet by nature he wasn’t the type of person that many used to remember, so to change that Alex grew a quirky sense of humor and a chatty personality. Curious by nature Alex’s the type of person that can disappear for hours on a whim following some autumn path or immerging himself within a new craze before jumping onto the next spontaneous interest. He loves the idea of muggle science and being halfblooded prides himself on his own muggle heritage.
On the other hand, Alex can be quite a troublemaker, always up for a laugh he’s usually pulled into some silly prank that his friends have cocked up and he’s usually the one trying to explain to the professors why they’re out of bed at this hour.
Of course he’d never tell them no, his unquestionable sense of loyalty and his need for inclusion stems from his subconscious desire to please everybody, in his mind if he can’t make people happy they’ll leave him, or laugh at him, it’s this as well that fuels his apologetic nature, the more flustered he gets the more he‘ll apologize, though he’d always hide it behind a sarcastic comment or a witty remark. Stubborn to boot, once Alex has made his mind up its almost impossible to change it, he can be a bit moody as well if not a tad anti-social especially if he’s tired or in a terrible mood. He’s quick to come around however, especially if you fetch him cheese cake, for that he’d do almost anything.
Alex can be quite sensitive though he'll brush it off with a sarcastic comment or roll of his blue eyes he won't forget it. He tends to bottle up his emotions which of course never ends well for him. While he's not a quiet person he can be prone to bouts of subjective shyness should he thrust into a situation he's not entirely happy about or if he can’t grasp something. He can be quite pensive and enjoys his alone time to collect and figure his thoughts especially when things get just a little bit too much for him.

personal history
mother:
Penelope Davies (nee Clearwater), 45, ministry worker
father:
Rodger Davies, 45, ministry worker
siblings:
>> DAVIES, ____ ____. R/7th
pets:
An owl named Gillie
history:
The second and last child of the Davies family Alex was born into a middle class family, having two ministry workers for parents certainly helped secure them an at least semi affluent life. Alex never had to want for anything nor did his brother.
Alex first showed signs of magic at the age of seven he was playing in the park with his brother when he made their ball levitate, he thought it was brilliant. He went for a haircut his hair would grow back to length it was over night, or the time he was playing races around the block on his toy scooter he found himself on top of the house with no explanation of how he got there. His parents of course were thrilled, his brother had already showed signs of magic the previous summer and they were terrified Alex’s powers would never manifest.
Finally on his eleventh birthday a letter arrived for him in bright green curvy handwriting, the letter told the young Alex that he was a wizard and that in the new school year he'd be attending Hogwarts. Being eleven and having grown up on a diet of adventure games and fantasy stories you can imagine that the young Alex was elated, and it was only a matter of days later he found himself in Diagon alley.
That September Alex saw himself waving his parents goodbye as the train pulled away from Kings cross and his adventures at the school began. In his sorting ceremony the hat was conflicted between the houses of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, while he was a creative child with a strong sense of loyalty he was terribly witty and imaginative and so the house opted for Ravenclaw.
Alex’s Hogwarts career went without many problems, he was a hard working student and his natural charisma allowed him to make a number of friends. He was a good student, sensible yet enjoyed having fun, generally good natured he wasn't one for trouble making and the only time he was ever given detention was during his fourth year when he punched a Gryffindor boy that had been bullying his friend. Though having a brilliant older brother had the young Alex develop a bit of an inferiority complex and found it hard to speak to his brother without an innate sense of jealousy.
Alex had a startling revelation in his fifth year however when he realized his sexuality. He had been sitting studying in the library when he caught the eye of a handsome sixth year, he'd never really thought much about his sexuality it didn't make sense at first after all he still thought of girls in that way too s. After much deliberation and a little experimentation he came to a conclusion and decided that he was in fact Bi. He came out to his parents in the summer of his fifth year, his immediate family were incredibly accepting but his grandparents were cold and dismissive.
Now in his Sixth year he’s ready for what the year’s going to bring, having decided to become a Professor once he graduates – in transfiguration – he’s ready to knuckle down and get the grades he needs. Though he’s not going to compromise on fun.
