The landlady of the Leaky Cauldron. The Gatekeeper of the Wizarding World. Wife (and therefore direct superior) of Neville Longbottom, mother of three children, stepmother/aunt to a staggering number of Weasley and Potter children. Former member of Dumbledore's Army. War hero. Current member of the Order of the Phoenix. Can go from sweet and gentle to throwing a drunk out of her bar in the blink of an eye, and still more than capable of dueling any Death Eater wannabes. A true action mom. Hannah is all this and more. Neville is happy with his life because he has this woman and their children, and he doesn't want or need much else. In the years since the Battle of Hogwarts, Hannah has become much closer to Harry's inner circle as a result of being married to Neville, who simply can't lay down and rest as long as he thinks others need his help. But no matter what, Hannah will always be first in Neville's life, and just the sight of her is enough to make whatever he's dealing with easier. Neville depends on Hannah emotionally, as he has to present the face of quiet confidence to almost everyone, and the few he doesn't are those with even heavier burdens. Happily married and working together in the Order, they're almost the parents of the organization, providing food and shelter for those in the Order that need it.
-Hannah is a skilled at cooking and cleaning, being the owner and proprietor of the Leaky Cauldron. She also helps take care of any sick Order members who have to hide at Longbottom Hill.
-Hannah is good at sifting through rumors, and provides the Order with insight into the way the Ministry is leaning, thanks to its employees frequenting the Cauldron.
-Hannah has not lost her edge in dueling, making sure to train regularly with Neville. They're not just his children to protect, after all, and protecting the Cauldron is important. Hannah can easily summon the entire Order to her side within moments if the Cauldron came under attack.
-Hannah is a very skilled businesswoman. Under her care, the Cauldron, which was already the most-frequented bar in Britain, became even more popular. Hannah's yearly profits from the Cauldron completely dwarf Neville's income from Hogwarts, his Auror pension, and the money he recieves for his developments in the field of Herbology. It's safe to say the Longbottom family is set for life, even setting aside the fortune Neville inherited as his elderly relatives died off.
-Hannah is no pushover. The events at Hogwarts toughened her up in a manner similar to Neville. Like Ginny and Hermione, Hannah is capable of cowing almost anyone when she goes into 'angry mother' mode. And seeing as she's the one the Order go to for aid, she's practically a mother to the whole organization at this point.
-Neville has made it a point in the past to come home every weekend for a few hours at least. He still takes Hannah dancing as often as they can. This year has cut into his ability to see his wife, and Neville is supremely unhappy about this, but they both know the times he's away from the castle are when it's the most vulnerable. They'll endure.
Any takers?
