[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @lestrange words 248 notes sorry it took a while. | Cameron had gone to the carnival the previous day with Kinsey. He had a fun time, better than he had expected being at the carnival with tons of people. Maybe it was because he had been with Kinsey. He didn’t know but he wanted to try going to the carnival on his own to test his theory about the carnival being better with Kinsey. He had gotten ready in a pair of jeans, his favorite converse sneakers, and his Star Trek t-shirt. Yes, he knew he was a geek, but he was okay with that. He fixed his hair a little ready to take on the world.
He left the common room and with his hands in his pockets hurried down the stairs. He had been there for so long that he knew how to hurry down them without tripping and when certain staircases would change at what time. His feet hit the ground floor and he stopped by the kitchens quick for a sandwich and milk in case he didn’t want to eat at the carnival. With his sandwich and milk in his hand he walked outside and headed to the carnival. He had finished his sandwich and milk before he got there. Throwing the plastic cup away he walked inside the carnival. There was still a lot of people there but it wasn’t as bad as he thought it might be. He still wished Kinsey was with him again. He wondered what he should do first.

Andy had a fun day yesterday at the carnival, so she decided to come back today. She was headed down when she saw someone up ahead just walking in the carnival. She vaguely knew him, just because he existed and was only two years younger than her. She couldn't remember his name, because they had never spoken before. But, she was trying this new thing where she was being nice to people... so she stepped up to walk beside him. "Hey, I'm Andy," she said, her voice sounding strained even though she was trying to sound friendly. "Are you looking for company today? I'm on my own until later," she explained. WOW, could she be more awkward? This kid probably thought she was a freak, or a stalker or something. Either way, she held her place because she wanted to see if she could actually do this. Make a friend on purpose.

Cameron wasn’t so sure about this whole being by himself at the carnival. There were a lot of people here again. He took in a deep breath calming himself. He wished Kinsey or another friend was here with him. He should have grabbed someone to come with him. Just as he thought of it a girl popped up beside him introducing herself. She asked if he wanted company today at the carnival. He couldn’t be happier. Yes please. I was just thinking that I needed someone here he said with a smile. I am Cameron he said with a smile.

The kid actually seemed glad to have some company. Okay, okay, maybe this wouldn't be as bad as she thought. She relaxed a little, but not completely. She smiled and nodded, "it's nice to meet you Cameron. Where do you want to head first?" She would let him make the decisions for the most part, since she was kind of a guest to him at this point.
He looked nice, and she felt bad that she had never tried to reach out to him before. That was just how her life was going, reaching out to people that she had never talking spoken to her entire time at Hogwarts right at the end, just a few months before she was going to graduate. A lot of good that did her. Hey, hey, maybe it would teach her to be a more outgoing and social adult. It was worth a try.

[googlefont="Kranky:400;"] tagged @lestrange words 000 notes sorry it's short. | Cameron didn’t think he could do this carnival thing alone, he tried though honestly. He was so glad that Andy came alone and wanted to walk around the carnival with him. It wasn’t like with Kinsey though he shouldn’t compare the two. He smiled back at her and said nice to meet you as well Andy. She had asked where he wanted to go first. He was unsure about that. There were so many games and rides there. It was hard to pick which one first. He thought then smiled and said I am good with whatever how about you pick. Ladies choice first. He continued walking with Andy as he watched for her to choose something there. He wasn’t in a hurry or anything.

He said it was nice to meet her and she just nodded. There was no point in going on, her mother had taught her that. He said it was ladies choice and she tried not to grimace. She was hoping not to make the decisions but that was alright. He wasn't even that much younger than her but she was seeing him as a kid, and she was okay with guiding him along. "How about some mermaid dunking?" she pointed out the booth, where someone was dresses as a mermaid, waiting to get dunked by whoever made the lucky shot. Water sounded kind of nice today, actually. If Andy was a more playful person she may have volunteered to be a mermaid. But alas, she wasn't the type.
