@dominique 355 notes here | i promised myself I wouldn't let you complete me. i'm trying not to let it show but i don't want to let this go is there somewhere you can meet me? Carleigh was getting restless that was for sure. She had much of her homework done and she pretty much had nothing to do. She wished that there was Quidditch going on as well as the Tournament. Because then she would be in less trouble. Quidditch was one of the things that made her a little less of a handful for the Professor’s and her imagination in check. Yes she was a bit small for the Beater position but hey she loved it. She just got to work on hitting the bludger as it flies through the air better. Yes she’s hit it before but not like she where she wants it to go to. She sends it everywhere but at another opponent and of course it has a mind of its own.
So naturally the one place where she wanted to go was of course the Quidditch Field but she couldn’t. She put a smile upon her face and went and grabbed her broom. She wasn’t sure if she was going to fly or not but one never knows. Especially with Dominique being Quidditch Captain. She also didn’t want to disappoint her when the season starts again next year. She wanted to become a better flyer though that was for sure. She felt like she was a decent flyer. Not the best or the worst. Somewhere in between is where she had fit best in her mind. Even though some keeps telling her that she’s a good flyer.
Walking onto the courtyard the young girl sat down in the middle. Laid her broom down next to her and laid down on the ground. She brought her broom over her chest and let out a small sigh. “Oh Broom how do I wish that Quidditch was going on right now.” She said with a small frown upon her face. “Oh how I miss thee.” The young girl said as she closed her eyes as she was imagining that they were practicing. She opened her eyes about five minutes later though and let out a small sad sigh. She really did miss the game and it showed. |

Dom was feeling antsy today. Not that that was much of a surprise, she was stuck inside almost all day in classes. So, as soon as she got out of transfiguration, she made her way up to the Ravenclaw tower. Dom knew exactly what she could do today that would help her get her energy out. Flying. That was her plan anyway, and since she was a captain, she could make it work.
It wasn't long before Dom found herself leaving the tower and going through the courtyard on her way out to the pitch. At least going through the courtyard she could get more fresh air. She smiled when she saw a familiar figure with a broom nearby. Carleigh. She approached the girl from behind, smiling as she heard her saying how much she missed Quidditch. Dom leaned against a nearby tree, watching to see what Carleigh was going to do now. When she opened her eyes a few days later, Dom pushed off the tree and moved closer. "Hey Carleigh, I see you have your broom with you," she said cheerfully, lifting her broom to show her that she had hers as well. "I was thinking about going and flying for a bit. Want to join me? I can show you some tricks if you want?" She wasn't going to push Carleigh into anything, of course, but wanted to help her if she wanted.

Carleigh laid there on the grass still wondering whens she was able to go flying in the air. She loved it so much that she wishes there was still Quidditch. She let out a smile remembering the day she joined the team. And how it felt playing her first game. She was so nervous that wasn't so sure if she could even play. But she did with the courage of the captain. And she had even accidentally scored a goal thinking the quaffle was a bludger once as it came her way. Whoops but it was a good mistake because it gave them a point. And she was glad of that. That was for sure and she hoped that maybe someday that she would be Quidditch Captain if there's any possible hope of that happening.
Looking up at the sky she suddenly saw a figure and recognized her. "Hey Dom." She said with a smile upon her face for a moment. "Yep I was going to go flying around but it's kind of boring by yourself. And without a bat at that." She said with a small laugh. She was glad that Dominique had her broom as well though. She sat up and looked over with a smile for a moment. "Of course I would like to join you. Flying is so much fun." She replied standing up from the ground and looked at her for a moment. She was glad that she came her way. "I would love to learn some new tricks." She replied. She just realized that this was Dominique's last year. "I was also so hoping that we would get the Quidditch Cup since this is your last year here." She said with a small smile upon her face.

Dom grinned when the younger girl smiled at her, saying she wanted to fly, but it was boring on her own. Dom understood that. She went through that too during her early years at Hogwarts. Then she realized that the peace flying gave her was worth doing it alone. Not that she didn't like flying with other people, she absolutely did, but she also enjoyed flying on her own. Then Carleigh agreed to go flying with her and Dom's smile widened, if that was possible. "Great! I was thinking ... if you want we can grab out bats and I'll let one of the bludgers loose so we can practice." The young girl was a beater, just like Dom, so she had absolutely no problem helping her out and giving her tips when it came to dealing with the unruly balls. Dom's smile faded slightly when Carleigh mentioned that it was Dom's last year here. "I know, I was hoping for that as well ... but I guess it just wasn't meant to be." She sighed melodramatically, pretending to be more upset than she really was. She assumed Carleigh would be able to tell she wasn't entirely serious. "I'll just have to come watch you guys next year. You'd better trash it," she warned teasingly. "Let's head down to the pitch," she added as she started heading in that direction. She wanted to fly, and while talking was nice, that could also be done in the air.

Carleigh looked at her captain and smiled a bit more. “That would be great if we could get the bats out and the bloody bludgers.” She said for a moment. It’d be good to practice even if they weren’t going to play Quidditch for real. It’d be in good practice for next year. She laughed though when she heard a bit of sarcastic tone to Dominique’s voice. “Oh trust me we will trash the other houses we play against. Especially if I get made Quidditch Captain. You taught me well.” She said with a smile upon her face. She really wants to be Captain of the team. She knew that she could lead the team to Victory. Well she hoped that she could bring the team to Victory. Especially with her brother on the team as well she would have someone to run by the plays with before sharing it with the rest of the team.

Dom smiled, liking Carleigh's enthusiasm. That was one of the reasons she was such a good beater. Beaters don't shy away from the bludgers. They go after them and pound them in the direction they want them to go. It was one reason Dom loved the position. "Oh we're getting the balls and bats out, don't you worry," she said with a wicked glint in get eye. It had been easy too long since she last held a bat and she was ready to pick it up again. She nodded at Carleigh's determination that the Ravenclaws win. Good. Even if she didn't become team captain the team needed dedicated players and she definitely was one. "Did you already apply for the position?" she asked curiously add they made their way to the shed where the balls are kept. She unlocked it and pulled out the crate, using the keys as she listened to get teammate.

Carleigh was glad that the bats and balls were going to come out. She was ready to get those darn bloody bludgers. Well hit them as far as she could hit them anyways. She wanted to be the next captain that's for sure. She did put her name into for it and all she could do is hope. "I'm sure I'm not the only one who signed up to be Captain." She said with a smile upon her face. She was ready to get out there and fly around the Quidditch Pitch even though it wouldn't be the same as an actual practice but it made practice either way. And she hoped that if she did become the next Captain that she would be just as good as Dominique. She definitely is one of the best Captains she'd played for. She was happy though that her twin brother was also on the team. But for some reason Dominique had always inspired her to do her best when it came to playing the sport. Sure she almost got knocked down a few times. And a few times she had been knocked off her broom by the other players. And at times she couldn't get back up because the way she fell. But she's always been a good sport and did the best she could to hit the bludgers. She had surprised a lot of people though when she had actually got Beater for being kind of weak looking and pretty skinny. She just pretty much told them it doesn't matter what one looks like. It's how you play the game that counts.

Dom loved the enthusiasm that the younger Ravenclaw had. It was so refreshing and just plain fun to be around Carleigh. Dom shrugged when she said she wasn't the only one to put her name in. "You never know," then she smirked, "No really though, you never know. I have no idea if I beat out everyone to become captain or if I was the only one who put my name in." Her expression turned a little darker, "for all the good that did me. I would have to become champion the year they decide to cancel it." She rolled her eyes and forced a smile. She didn't want to completely terrify the girl. It's just ... her emotions were a little weird today. Quidditch would help though. It always did. Dom levitated the box with the bludgers out onto the field and then looked at Carleigh. "You ready?" She asked, quirking her eyebrow at the girl. Any other time she'd release them when she wanted, but she didn't want some kind of injury to stop them from having fun so that wasn't an option today.
