Edmund was tired. No, he wasn't angry today, but he wasn't happy either. He just felt exhausted. His emotions were complex and annoying and he basically wished he could remove them entirely at the moment, but that wasn't a possibility. Most people were at the carnival right now, but Ed was avoiding it, at least for the time being. He'd finished a late breakfast and thought to go outside on a little walk. He didn't expect anyone to join him or talk to him and was trying to use that time to simply enjoy nature and relax. Hopefully that would be a possibility with all the things going on in his head. If not, he could always go back to the common room and study, because that would be a fun way to spend his Saturday.
After a while of walking around, he moved to a tree and sat under it. The weather was still cold outside, but there wasn't snow on the ground, so at least it wasn't super uncomfortable. He couldn't wait until spring really came. Then being outside would be so much easier. He leaned against the cold trunk and closed his eyes, breathing in the brisk air slowly and not even noticing another pair of footsteps approaching him.

Carleigh decided that day she was going to climb a tree. She was bored and she didn't like being bored at all. She still had some homework to do but decided that she wasn't going to do it just yet. She probably should due to fact that she is a fifth year and the O.W.L.'s would be coming up soon. But she deserved some free time just like everyone else did right? Of course right. The weather was a bit chilly so she wore her jeans and a sweater that brought her brown eyes out just right. Her hair was in a ponytail and she balanced herself as she walked on a branch a little. She looked out and saw that Edmund was out taking a small stroll. She stayed pretty much quiet and watched him walk to another tree then the one she was in.
She jumped down to the ground and made her way over to where he was sitting. "Hey there." She said with a small smile upon her face for a moment. He looked a bit preoccupied with his thoughts. Or at least that is what she had thought anyways. "Boring Saturday?" She asked him for a moment. Because so far nothing had shown any promises of being a fun day. The tournament is fun don't get her wrong. She just rather be doing something else at the moment. Well anything that is and that would include leaving the castle for a few hours. And if her memory recalled she knew a way out of Hogwarts but the trick was not to be seen. "Would you like to have some fun?" She asked him with a slight smile.

Edmund was actually in the place between wakefulness and sleep when he heard someone nearby. Were they talking to him? He opened his eyes and turned toward the voice, pasting a smile on his face when he realized that the girl was talking to him. Looking at her more closely, he recognized Carleigh. She was a year younger than him, but she played on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, so he recognized her. "Hi," he responded, realizing that he was answering her late. It was awkward, but oh well. He nodded at her next question. "Yes, it's boring. I'm sure all the people at the carnival are having fun, but I'm not really in the mood," he explained. Actually, him not going to the carnival was probably a good thing. He felt exhausted enough that he was probably easily irritable. Then she asked if he wanted to have fun and Edmund was surprised when he started smiling. "What kind of fun?" He asked, before shaking his head. "No never mind what kind. Yes, let's do something." Well that was rather impulsive for him. Oh well. He needed to do something fun and if it was impulsive, so be it.

Carleigh smiled at the young man in front of her. He was kind of cute. That was for sure. And she knew him from the muggle world. But she wasn't sure if he was related to the Royal family or not. "You don't mind me asking if you're part of the Royal family, are you?" She asked him with a curious smile. She wasn't sure but she thinks he was part of the Royal family. And she had a sudden thought that it would be cool that she knew a Royal. And he was kind of cute. Actually, she thought he was hot in his own way. She wondered a little more though. "Carnivals are overrated anyways." She said with a small smile on her face. "Come on let's go!' She stated with a smile.

She was smiling and him and Ed didn't really know why, but at the same time he didn't care. Hopefully doing something with a stranger would help pull him out of this bad mood he was in today, but he wasn't sure if it actually would or not. It all depended on what they ended up doing and what her attitude was like. Then she asked if he was part of the Royal family and Ed froze for a second, looking at her more intently now. Then he gave her a casual smile, trying to play it off like it was no big deal. Like Will would have. "I don't mind. Is that what you're asking?" It slipped out. Normally Ed wasn't one to just tease people, but right now that was happening and he was interested to see how she would react. He nodded when she said that carnivals were overrated. Then she started going ... somewhere. Edmund followed her. "Wait. Where are we going?" He wasn't going to back out, he was just curious.
@carleigh (no problem!) <3
