August announcement and upcoming events

Hey everyone! Happy August! Got a few announcements, up coming changes, etc for you all, so I'll try to be quick!

First up! Just a few quick reminders of things coming up. IC April will be starting on the 13th! So be ready for a morbid celebration of one year since Hogwarts was attacked (oh hai thur, @ghostethan , so nice to see you again.). Alohomora's first ever POSTING WAR will be from 12:01AM August 14th- 11:59PM August 21st. Signups to be an official participant of the event end at 11:59PM August 12th. So if you want to participant and haven't signed up, you better get on it! The third upcoming event will be the THIRD TASK, which will begin August 22nd! So you champions prepare!

We are also sad to announce that we will be losing Jill as both a staff member, and a member, here on Alohomora, effective now. She has decided that because of situations in her personal life it was best to step back from roleplaying on Alohomora so as to get things in order. We thank her for her service as staff and as a wonderful member and wish her the best of luck. With the loss of a staff member you will be seeing some overlap between the Lore and Technical team for a little while, as we help each other adjust to one less staff member, so we thank you in advance for your patience with us. I know one concern with Jill leaving is her position as playing the Durmstrang champion. We are working on the best solution to make this work out, but for the moment he will most likely be NPC'ed, since he is out of the running for Tri-Wizard Tournament Champion.

So, many of you have probably been wondering just what the Lore team has been up to, because it's bound to be no good! Well, we have a LOT of stuff in the works, in multiple stages and such, but one thing that has rolled out is a new super secret, brand new (not new... It's a slimy creepy huge dungeon), base for the Purifers! You can find it located HERE! The name is still totally up in the air, so if you have some awesome ideas? PM them to me and @puck ! But for now you can find a thread (written by me and pinned to the top) with all the information you will need to know to roleplay in it. To add to that there IS a past thread going on right now (located HERE) that will explain by what means the base was set up, along with another plot that will be opening up a LOT of opportunities to you guys in the future! Basically this thread is laying the ground work for an amazing change that we have spent hours, upon hours, of developing. So stay tuned!
