dungeons deep and...
It was a raining outside. The weather was not suitable for anyone to be outside in, so therefore anyone in their right mind, or just at least those who did not want to get soaking wet and catch a cold, stayed inside the school or to any shelter they could find at. It was easy enough for Joffroi to know where he belonged in during a time like this, and it was also good that the school was a huge castle with many places for Joffroi to be in, whichever one he chose. There was always the library where he could read in peace and quiet, for rarely would there be anyone who would raise their voices in that haven of silence.
But at this particular moment, the boy preferred to take his reading down to the Slytherin Common Room. He was in the mood to be in homey surroundings where he could afford to be a bit more casual. And so there he was, alone in the Common Room (where were all the other Slytherins in this time of the day, he wondered? Nah, he didn't care, he liked the silence).
He was sprawled out on an elegant couch, his back settled against the end of it. Joffroi had been reading a novel, and it had been a good and engaging one. However soon he lost interest in reading for a moment and put down the book. That rarely happened, because usually Joffroi was one to forget all about the world around him when he was reading a book. But things happen. He turned his head to the side and was gazing idly at the flickering flames of the hearth, not really thinking about anything special in particular. This was a boring day, but to Joffroi it was pretty decent.
