Rosie Williams was never a front-of-the-class student, but at least Charms class wasn't one that she messed up in frequently. Rosie sat in the middle with another Hufflepuff friend and listened as the professor demonstrated the proper way to hold your wand to cast the Accio charm, one they had learned before but apparently one that the professor wanted to stress, perhaps because some students hadn't had major success with the charm. Finally, the clock reached the end of the lesson and the professor hushed her class. "Please wait until I hand back your essays from last week." she announced and began handing them to students, who started to file out of the classroom after receiving theirs. Rosie's friend was handed hers and then she ran away to her next class, which was already quite a trek when she wasn't being asked to wait around for their essays.
Rosie finally was handed her paper and was happy with the grade, but upon further investigation, the handwriting throughout the parchment didn't belong to her. Rosie glanced up to the name, Rose Weasley, Rosie gave a not-surprised smile and a twitch of her eyebrows; Rose was a fairly common name and had many alterations, but since they also had the same last initial, this happened more often than not.. She looked up to locate the assignments proper owner and saw the red-headed girl leaving the classroom. Rosie sprang up from her desk and hurried after the girl, eager to resolve the issue and see what grade she had actually got on the assignment. "Rose, wait!" Rosie called, catching up with the girl in the corridor. "I think this actually belongs to you." she held out the essay.

Rose was ready to be out of class so when the professor asked them to hang back so she could pass out their assignments, Rose sat biting her lip. She was hoping to go search for Scorpius for a while before her next class but perhaps she would have to wait until dinner. Finally when the professor began handing out papers, Rose waited on the edge of her seat for hers. The professor handed her the paper and Rose sat right up and headed for the door to exit class without even looking at her grade. (That Malfoy boy sure had turned her life around.)
The Ravenclaw was just about out the door when she heard someone call her name. She turned her head to see Rosie Williams there, handing out an essay to her. Rose blinked down at the paper in her own hand and an embarrassed smile made its way onto her features. "Oh, Merlin," she groaned and handed Rosie her paper before taking her own in return. "Sorry, Rosie," the Weasley grinned sheepishly. "My mind was in the clouds." She waved her hand dismissively. She could wait to see Scorpius until dinner.

Rosie didn't meant to make Rose feel bad for not noticing, it was second nature for Rosie to check in classes the two of them were in together just because she couldn't count the number of times that she had taken the assignment only to get back to the dorm to go over it and see it wasn't even hers and to think that she assignment and her grade was shut up in the Ravenclaw wing with Rose Weasley rather than down in the Hufflepuff commons where it belonged and where it was needed. And then she had to track Rose down and hope that she also recognized the switch and had the assignment with her. Rosie didn't care a lot about her grades, but that didn't mean she liked that others had access to them every now and then. "Don't be sorry, you didn't do anything wrong." Rosie insisted, handing the girl her paper. "I should really have a talk with the professor, just ask them to look a little more carefully at the full name." She suggested, she didn't much like confrontation, but it wasn't really confrontation, more of a request. "Uh, is everything okay?" Rosie asked when Rose said her head was in the clouds, she didn't want to be nosy and she knew they weren't great friends, but she just wanted to make sure and do anything if she could.

Rose was a little embarrassed for not having looked directly at the name on the paper like usual, but she was grateful Rosie seemed understanding to her distracted mind. Usually Rose was on top of that sort of thing. Maybe before a big test or something she would forget to look and had ended up with Rosie's papers more than once, but it was never not as embarrassing as it was the first time. The Weasley grinned at the Hufflepuff when she assurred her she didn't need to be sorry. Rose was glad to have befriended Rosie through this silly "same name" thing they had had going on since first year. The Hufflepuff was very kind, and Rose never minded spending even a few minutes with her. "Maybe we could start writing in different colored ink," the Ravenclaw joked lightheartedly. Then Rosie asked her if everything was okay and Rose nodded eagerly. "Oh, yes," she said quickly. "Things are much better than... well, than they were." The red head shrugged. She didn't want to dwell too much on how the beginning of this school year had been. "How 'bout you, Rosie? How have you been?"

Rose Weasley joked that perhaps they should start writing in different colored ink and Rosie gave her laugh and shrug that she knew would come across as her saying If only that'd do the trick. By this point, most of the teachers had caught it and were pretty good about making sure that they got the correct papers back however, everyone had the occasional slip up and Rosie was just thankful that it wasn't some Slytherin mean girl with whom she shared a name. Rather it was a very sweet girl whom never gave the Hufflepuff a hard time about the switch or anything else for that matter. Rose Weasley wasn't exactly someone whom she considered a friend, but the girl was someone who Rosie admired and respected for her talents and personality. And especially for her title of Head Girl, something Rosie even envied a little. Not that she would have seriously wanted to be the Head Girl, but she knew it came with a lot of prestige and she was overall very happy that Rose had been given the title. Rosie then insisted that she was alright, well, at least better now and Rosie nodded. She could see that the girl didn't want to go into it and Rosie was very big on respecting boundaries, especially with people who weren't a part of her best friends group, people that she didn't know as well. The Ravenclaw then turned the question on her. "Oh I'm just fine. I feel a little weird about this being our last year though." she admitted. Rosie was one of those people who made Hogwarts her home and it felt weird to leave and be thrown out into the real world.

Rose smiled genuinely when Rosie said she, too, was fine. Then she commented on how this was this last year. Honestly, Rose had been so busy from the drama with Scorpius, her Head Girl duties, and studying for her N.E.W.T.s that she had had little time to think about how this was her last year. Graduation was approaching fast and Rose was growing more nervous to move out into the real world. "It's weird isn't it?" She said after a moment. "To think that after this, we'll be of age. Adults, able to use magic outside school and all that," she voiced her thoughts aloud. It all seemed so surreal to the Ravenclaw. "What are your plans for after graduation?"

Rosie was glad that the Ravenclaw girl shared her feelings regarding the end of their time at Hogwarts. "It's weird to think about all that, right?" she agreed with a nod. "I used to think the seventh years were so old and grown up and had their whole lives together and were so cool." she admitted. "But now that it's me that's the 7th year, it's an entirely different experience." she concluded. It was weird to think of herself as one of the most grown up and older kids in the castle. The 7th years were about to finish their education, unless they chose to continue it through muggle universities or programs. But as far as the Ministry for magic was concerned, they were adults and ready to be thrown out into the world. "Uh, no, not really." she admitted with a small laugh/sigh. She was beginning to worry about not knowing where to find a job in which she could write about both muggle and magical sports, she was coming to the realization that she'd have to pick one or the other and wasn't sure which to pick. "Do you?" she counter asked the question.
