hello there, my name is lydia fudge but you can call me lyd. i'm 15 so that makes me a 4th year at Hogwarts, where I reside in Slytherin house. You could say I'm cunning, resourceful and ambitious but I personally think that I am heroic, fashionable and adored. People say I look a lot like Landry Bender, but I don't really see it...

overall personality:
Lydia is a fifteen year old boy crazy, fashionista socialite. She lives for the extravagant life of pureblood parties, galas, matchmaking and betrothals. And oh boy, oh boy, is she boy crazy. She is more of a fangirl with older males than an actual flirt, but if you're close to her age she will giggle and twirl her hair with her finger and laugh at all your stupid jokes -- if you're cute.
She doesn't like muggles and their scary weapons; bombs and guns etc. But she doesn't blame muggleborn kids for their sad lives. She befriends them more often than not, if only to try and sway them away from their muggles families. And why would a wizard go and marry a muggle anyway!? It just wasn't practical. She does not approve.
She does archery, mostly because she heard that royalty shoots with a bow ceremoniously in some countries when they have their coronation, and she wants to do something similar for her coming of age party when she turns seventeen! She realized she was really good at it, though, and has started taking the sport more seriously.
She isn't really into super active sports that get her all sweaty, gross, but she doesn't mind watching the boys play. Not one bit. She is all about those boys, as mentioned above. Lydia can be bossy and blunt, but she sees it as a way to help people figure out their flaws and get past them. I mean, really, everyone needs a friend to tell them when they're having a bad hair day!

history:
Lydias family can trace their lineage of magic back centuries, and they are very proud of that fact and taught their children to be the same. Lydia latched onto this, being incredibly proud of her magical heritage but... she didn't get what the big deal with muggles was? Like, who really cared what they did with themselves?
Well, her opinion on that changed rather quickly. When she was a first year at Hogwarts she made friends with a muggleborn, and was invited over at their house for a play date the following summer. Her parents agreed to let her go, if only to let her see for herself what muggles lives were like and how it was no fun and less safe than being magical.
Her parents were right! The news was on in the other room and Lydia overheard, hearing about some horrible bombing happening in some other country. She left the playroom to get a glance at the TV and that's when she saw it. Explosions. She knew wizards could do the same type of damage, sure, but at that scale!? She couldn't believe it. Muggle technology was too powerful.
She started to research muggle and magical affairs for that summer and didn't like what she found. Muggles burned witches. Muggles killed witches. Muggles, she decided, where just plain dangerous, and she wanted no part of them. Her parents didn't mind her researching all these things because she would talk to them about it afterward, and how she refused to be involved in the muggle world. That was fine by them.
Outside of that, Lydia lived a very charmed life! Her first signs of magic came when she wanted her dress to be green instead of red and the color suddenly changed. Their parents rejoiced, their youngest child had magic! The family was complete. She didn't really know back then, as a little toddler, why it was such a big deal. Didn't all magical kids have magic? But she was happy to be praised nonetheless.
Her mother coddled her greatly and raised her to be 'perfect'. Always looking good with her gorgeous, naturally curly hair and her bright eyes. She was constantly praised and adored, and figured that everyone felt that way about her. She knew she was a lovely spectacle, and she is happy with that.
She was sorted into Slytherin, yay, and wasn't surprised in the least. It was the house for those who wanted to make the world a better place and had the ability to do so. She had that, she always knew it. She became friends with a lot of people, fast, happy to have extensive social interactions. Most of the other pureblood kids with high standing families she knew already from family functions, so it was nice to have them around more! Plus, her older brother Riley was there, whom she loves dearly.
In her third year, however, that students died on the train. As well as another Ravenclaw kid AND that seventh year when Hogwarts was attacked. She doesn't agree AT ALL with killing people just because their parents are muggles! They should be saving the muggleborns from their horrible families, not killing them! So, she found herself trying to get involved with this group of killers.
For one, she is sure that they will succeed and she wants a good standing with them in the new world they'll lead. For two, she wants to convince them that muggleborn kids need to be saved and reformed, not killed for their parents sins. That summer, the summer of 2023, she finally made contact with Desirae Rousseu, a French girl almost as fabulous as she was, and she was in.
Of course she hasn't mentioned her 'save the muggleborns' petition yet. She has to get closer to Elaine first. But, for now, she has just been a part of the group and willing to do almost anything asked of her. This year, her fourth year, the tri-wizard tournament started so she's been preoccupied with that. I mean HELLO deliciously lovely foreign boys from TWO different schools!? How could she not get wrapped up in it! She thinks both Emile and Elias are utterly delectable, and can't decide which one she'd rather win. She's basically a major fangirl for both of them. And Anna, well, she's okay. Woo, go Hogwarts.
With the tournament nearing a close, Lydia is ready to embrace whatever the summer and the purifers have to offer. She only hopes that she can make a lasting impression and earn a high status in Elaines new world order.
