Another free day and many had run off to Hogsmeade, Gilderoy wasn't one of them. No instead Gilderoy was nursing scratches on his arms from his cat in his dorm. He had given Maxis a bath this morning and like all other cats he hated water more than anything in the world it seemed. Yet back at the dorm the cat was happily dry and sleeping on his bed. "This is the thanks I get for being the greatest pet owner in the world. Thanks Maxis." The last bit was filled with sarcasm, still he couldn't be mad at the cat as he slept there all curled up. "Jerk." Gilderoy added with a smile, oh well the cat was clean and that's all that mattered, small scratches would heal quickly no need for a nurse visit for something so small, still he had nothing better to do right now as it was too late to head to Hogsmeade.
Still he needed to get out of the dorm, couldn't spend the whole day with his sleeping cat and deprive the world of the gift what was Gilderoy's presence. First though he needed something to eat. He hadn't eaten anything today as he was focused on giving a bath to the most difficult cat in the world it seemed. It was around lunch time possibly but it didn't feel like it as he got to the great hall. It was pretty empty, just how this place looked with most students off to Hogsmeade. Still he wasn't about to eat alone, what would that look like for someone as himself to be sitting alone. He didn't have to worry about it long as he noticed someone at the Ravenclaw table and he approached. "Now what is a beautiful sight such as yourself doing here all alone Drizella?" Gilderoy said with smirk as he sat down a crossed from her not awaiting to be invited to sit down. Why wait for an invite that would have come anyway.

Drizella hadn't been in the mood to go to Hogsmeade today. No, she'd wanted to sleep in and just lounge about lazily. And that was exactly what she did. It was a great day, obviously. No classes, no one around to bore her to death except some first and second years but most of them were outside enjoying the weather. Eventually though she did have to leave Ravenclaw tower, her growling stomach reminding her that she'd skipped breakfast during her extra long sleep in. Still, didn't deter her almost goos mood. She happened to like food, and most of the school was still at Hogsmeade so the great hall would be quite vacant.
Taking a seat at the long Ravenclaw table she sat far from the rear of her house mates, just evoking her continued solitude as she filled the plate in front of her. It was a thoroughly enjoyable (boring but enjoyable) lunch, the girl slowly and quietly munching away as her thoughts wandered from this subject to that. To anyone watching though she seemed just as painfully bored as always.
Drizella had just set her goblet back down on the table from taking a drink when... someone joined her. For a moment though me it was Kinsey, back from Hogsmeade. But it was a boy and he was now sitting across from her. The girl went still, her gaze slowly raising to stare at him with her usual impossibly bored look. Who was he again..? She took a moment to mull it over, thoughtfully trying to remember who this boy was and why he was actually speaking to her. "Why shouldn't I be alone?" she finally answered back. She felt like his name was on the tip of her tongue but it hadn't quite come to her yet. Gilbert maybe?

Gilderoy couldn't help but notice the same look on Drizella's face as normal. He hadn't talk to her much or at all from what he could remember. With having many of the same classes and the same common room for six year he remembered somethings though. In this case it was her name and that she always seemed bored or just uninterested in things when he saw her. Either way that can stop now that Gilderoy was here to change that himself. "I suppose you have a point, how else could I join you if you were surrounded by other people." Gilderoy wasn't insane, he knew the reason she was eating alone wasn't just because she was waiting for him to show up. Still it worked out that way so why not acknowledge how it all turned out.
"Still that's why I'm here, to fix all that. Gilderoy at your service." He said with a smile as he loved introducing himself, he didn't feel he needed to most times but it was just so much fun to do he couldn't help it. "How are you today?"

Drizella slowly and lazily raised an eyebrow as he spoke so flamboyantly. That was right. He was always talking like that. Like he was a gift to the world. She wasn't sure if she should be amused by that or puzzled. For the moment it remained at mild curiousity. "And why exactly do I need your service? Or what exactly is that service?" she slowly answered in a tone that didn't give away the ever so slight peak of interest. She sounded just as bored as always.
His own question caused the smallest of shrugged as she started to tear up a roll on her plate."Same as always." was her answer, pausing only for a moment as she remembered manners dictated returning such a question. "... you?"

While Gilderoy sat a crossed from her he started to put somethings on the plate before him. He was still more interested in the girl than food but he also hadn't forgotten the whole reason he had come down to the great hall in the first place. Drizella asked what she would need him for or what he could do and he just smirked. "Everyone needs more Gilderoy in their life my dear. As for what services I can offer, I've been known to good for about anything. Especially a good time." Still the girl seemed bored, while there was no accounting for good taste or she just didn't know him enough. They were in the same house for six years but never spoke much or if at all from what he could remember. He just knew her name from classes the classes they shared over the years.
Drizella said she was doing the same as always but he didn't really know what always was for her. If anything that would be looking bored but he wouldn't say something that rude. She proceeded to ask him how he was doing and Gilderoy just smiled, it was his favorite subject after all. "I'm doing great. Just healing from a few battle wounds." Gilderoy raised up his arm showing the multiple scratches from his cat. "He hates bath day."

Was he... referring to himself in third person? Drizella slowly blanked, her head tilting just a touch to the side. She didn't really know what to think of the newly discovered fact. Or how he was acting as if he was a gift to the world. "I'm not 'everyone', so that doesn't answer the question." when she found most people boring he better be interesting is some way aside from his unusual ability to speak in third person.
Dizz glanced down at her plate and picked at the roll some more. She was never a fast eater, taking her sweet time to finish her plate. She only glanced up when he mentioned healing. Her eyes focused in on his shown off hands, expression still unreadable even once her gaze flicked back up to his own. "Are you speaking in second person now too?" He'd been switching between first and third, why not throw second into the mix.

As Drizella spoke he couldn't help but nod his head as she had a point. "You certainly are correct, a flower such as yourself does stand out among the other blades of grass." Gilderoy said with a smile, still he didn't expect flattery to change the expression on her face of disinterest but it was just how he chose to speak. He was a flatterer, a charmer, it's just the type of gentlemen he was meant to be. "Still it would be quicker to name the things I wouldn't be good for than what I have to offer." He replied, always so sure of himself.
Gilderoy laughed slightly as she questioned him on if he was talking about himself. It was funny that she would come to this misunderstanding, especially that he might be the one who scratched himself. "Oh no, I always enjoy a good bath. It can be relaxing and it's better to stay clean and fresh of course. No I was talking about my cat." Gilderoy wasn't sure just how serious she was when she thought he might have been talking about himself. Still he doubted she was making a joke or having fun with him just based on Drizella's expression which hadn't change once since he sat down. "Maxis hates water, like most cats do so it's always expected when its bath day."

Drizella just blinked. She wasn't sure if he was just a complimenting person of if he was actually flirting with her. If he was... She wasn't interested. The whole dating thing seemed boring. But part of that might be because she'd never really found anyone that she was both attracted to and found interesting. But, being the straight forward individual she was, Dizz's reaction wasn't what he'd expect. "I don't like flowers much." She said with a straight face. But, the more she listened to him and the way he spoke....
It certainly reminded her of something, or someone. He was saying something, answering her other question but Drizella had stopped paying attention entirely. Her thoughts had wandered off, despite the fact that she was still looking at him. Those that knew her well would know that they'd completely lost her attention at this point but those were weren't familiar with her might think she was intently listening. Her attention was a fickle thing, easily distracted by the slightest whisper of something more interesting or even the slightest big distracting. In this case, trying to figure out who Gilderoy reminded her of. Good with words, quick to compliment and try and charm....
"Ah!" She exclaimed, finally realizing who it was the boy reminded her of. This was the first time her blank expression actually changed, but not because of what he'd said about his cat. She couldn't care less about that part. "You're like Uncle Jimbo!" She explained aloud. Of course. Her match making uncle. His entire business revolved around his ability to understand romantic possibilities. From what she'd heard from her parents as well he'd gotten in trouble from chasing too many skirts. Was this boy a skirt chaser too? She wasn't much in the mood for that, to be honest.

Drizella commented that she didn't like flowers much. Either she didn't realize he was just offering a compliment or was just that type of matter of a fact person, he wasn't sure which. Whatever the reason he wasn't about to explain what he had meant, nothing destroyed a compliment or a joke like having to explain it. "Well that's a shame." Gilderoy said with a small laugh to himself, personally he enjoyed flowers. If she didn't that was her lose he supposed but Gilderoy found the beauty in them. He could only assume great beauty could also just recognize the attractiveness of something or someone else as well.
She seemed to be paying attention to him or at least Gilderoy thought so till she spoke up as if surprised or she just realized something. He looked on as Drizella said she reminded him of her uncle Jimbo. He didn't know who her uncle was right away, in fact he was more just thrown off with how she came up with that out of now where. Gilderoy wondered if she had been thinking about this for awhile behind that disinterested look or if it suddenly just hit the girl who he reminded her of. "Well it's the first time I've reminded someone of their uncle I suppose." Gilderoy said a laugh as he wondered who her uncle was. He knew he heard the name Jimbo before. "Wait... the guy from that blind dating thing a few months ago? That's your uncle?" He asked as he didn't piece together that they both shared the same last name.

Drizella just shrugged at his words. Flowers were boring with little use. Why would they interest her? Besides, she'd spent her entire childhood growing up in a mansion that had s far to large garden. You could say she was sick of them and their uselessness.
He really was like Uncle Jimbo. Confident, womanizer, bold. Maybe that was why she'd let this conversation continue this long. Because she actually enjoyed spending time with her uncle. Surely his teenage doppelgänger could be interesting. She let out a 'hm' and nod at the same time. "He owns the family business. Blishwick Matchmaking services." Matchmaking was a dying art, but the Blishwick family was still going strong. They'd run the business for generations, and she was sure her cousin would carry on the legacy after her father.

It was an interesting notion as Drizella explained how her uncle ran a match making business. While the idea seemed new to him he also felt like he had seen signs for this somewhere before but just couldn't place where. Still if Gilderoy reminded Drizella of her uncle he couldn't be all that bad so far. Even if he hadn't met him yet just that realization alone already put her uncle in a positive light. "I'll have to check it out this summer. Granted I don't know what'll happen when I'm just about anyone's match." Gilderoy laughed a little as he joked, he wasn't that arrogant about himself. Sure he was an amazing person in general but everyone had different tastes and while it may be a small percent he probably wasn't the right person for those people. "So, family business? Does that means you're going to be a match maker some day too?" He figured the answer would already be no but he was interested in this whole match making thing.
