It was time. Then end of the semester was coming. The tri-wizard tournament had completed. They had their champion and Ursula had two bombs. They were beautiful hybrids of magical and non-magical creation. She created them upon Elaine’s request a few months back. She was happy to have the work. She was starting to get board. Ursula had created and set off one bomb at Kings Cross Station last year, but that was so long ago. These two creations were beautiful. The charms on them, mixed with the C4 was glorious, but the best part, was the containers of screws and nails that would release them when the bombs go off. This would cause maximum damage. The time had come for the bombs to be delivered. She walked through one of the mirror portals into the purifiers base. It wasn’t really her kind of place, but it was private, and she liked that. She had one bag in her hand. She walked in and set them up on a table that was there. She set them down gently and sat, her changing from blue to green, as back as she waited for Elaine. Elaine could barely contain her excitement. Soon, the Ministry, Hogwarts, and everyone else would remember why the Purifiers were a group to be feared. It had been a year since the Kidnappings, and they had been brazen enough to allow the Triwizard Tournament to happen this year. She was not fool enough to try something during any of the Task, though it had been tempting. It would seem too much like Lord Voldemort, and Elaine at least did not need to be regenerated into a new body. She shuddered lightly at the thought of losing her perfect body; though she enjoyed the freedom she had when she ventured out in disguise, she preferred her normal, beautiful self. It was fortunate that she was meeting one of her more...explosive followers today at the Purifiers newly established base; Elaine could be herself there.
She strode confidently down the long hallway that led to her bedchamber where the mirror door to the base way, not helping a small cackle escape from her lips. If only the Mudblood Minister and old Headmistress knew about this base, why they’d be shocked! Saying the spells softly, Elaine stepped through the mirror and appeared in her base. She was pleased to see Ursula waiting there already; the other girl had made quite an..explosive impression on Elaine back in May at Kings Cross. “Ursula,” she greeted in a low purr. She strode forward, her dark bloodred robes sweeping behind her. “Is it ready?” she asked, her voice dangerously sweet. She had assigned a very special task to Ursula, and she hoped the woman would deliver as promised.

The wizarding world has no idea what was coming. These items that Ursula had with her would shake the world for ever. It had been so long since she blew something up. The Triwizard Tournament had gone untouched. Ursula could sense the ease that the wizarding world had fallen into. They were much to relaxed, almost as if they had failed to remember that the Purifiers were still around. Their mistake.
Ursula saw Elaine strut into the base from another mirror. With a smile, her hair turned neon orange, just for fun. Elaine was someone who could encourage and nurture Ursula’s twisted passion. The concoctions that she created of muggle and magic that she hid from the world were now ready. There was still much to learn from, and much growing to do. She hoped that this wouldn’t be the last of the Elaines explosive needs. ”Hey there Elaine.” She said after the girl walking to her had said her name. She smiled, knowing what she had in the bags, and what would become of them. Boom. The where or when didn’t really matter to her, even if she knew. ”They sure are.” She looked to the bags that she had carefully set down. Her hair changed color once again to look like fire. ”Even better than the last one, might I add.” More damage and a bigger boom. Just what she wanted.

Elaine had to work hard not to have a negative reaction for Ursula addressing her so informally. The woman was older than her, and had created such a beautiful display at Kings Cross last year, so she would give her a pass for now. Besides, there were more pressing things than how to properly address the Leader of the Purifiers, as in what Ursula had brought to show her. Her dark eyes glimmered greedily as she surveyed what the woman had brought with her. “Excellent, quite excellent,” she complimented, nodding with approval. “My scouts have already surveyed where they needed to be placed. It won’t happen for a few more weeks, however I will need you to come back to give them a demonstration on how to safely place them where they need to go.” Elaine paused; she didn’t really care if it’d be an imposition for Ursula to come back, but really she doubted it would. Who wouldn’t want to ensure that her glorious handiwork made it to the correct place so it could have maximum effect? “You can come as disguised as you want,” she added, her eyes flicking up towards Ursulas’ ever changing hair color. Diana was also a Metamorphmagi, which Elaine felt rather fascinating. It could certainly be used to the Purifiers advantage.
Now Elaine smiled, pulling something out of her pocket. “Onto the next topic, I am assuming of course, you’d like to see your handiwork in person?” she said, swinging the rectangular card from its lanyard back and forth tantalizingly. “I have had a press pass made up for you; you’ll have to match yourself to the photo of course, but someone of your nature I doubt would have much trouble,” she instructed, handing over the pass to Ursula. With that in her hands, and a short narrative to give the Aurors, Ursula could have a front row view to her babies in action.

Ursula loved to be praised. And making explosives have proven to be quite a unique talent for her. Ursula was pleased that more had been put into motion. The items that she brought weren’t unreasonably small or large, so they would fit just about anywhere. But they were large enough to be noticed if they weren’t properly hidden. Having scouts who could get into the locations Elaine had planned, was perfect. Ursula would like to pretend that she could get anywhere, but the truth was, she couldn’t. Elaine had people everywhere and Ursula knew it. Ursula looked over at the items in the two bags and then back at Elaine, nodding slightly. ”I can come here and demonstrate it. Their reasonably safe for now, but those who place it will need to start the timers on them. It’s a simple charm you learn First year. So anyone will be able to start it.” Seemed like it could be a flaw in the planning of these beautiful contraptions, but they had many charms on them as well. ”But you needn’t be worried. Once the charm is set, there are plenty of charms and hexes to prevent it from being disarmed.” It was a rubix cube of spells. One that Ursula was proud of. She was a genius and she struggled figuring it out to disarm it. And if anyone tried, there was no way those idiot Aurors could disarm the muggle device. This thing was going to blow. And there was no stopping it.
Coming back to demonstrate to the scouts was a great idea. But Ursula did think she would come in disguise. Whoever they were, they didn’t deserve to know who she is. But for maximum effect, she would need to talk to them. Not just about the charm, but for maximum damage, she would need to explain to them about placement.
Now that that was all arranged, more or less. Ursula smiled. Elaine was right on the nose. She was there for Kings Cross, and she wanted to be at the next one. She watched the card fly out of Elaine’s pocket. She had a good idea what that was. She took a look at the card once it was handed to her, studying the face on the card. ”I’d love to be there. Won't be difficult thing to do.” Press pass. Good. Press means lots of people and a huge event. That was exactly where her little inventions should be. With a nice story and this pass, she could get in no problem, and then she could watch the mayhem ensue.

Elaine nodded as Ursula agreed to come back right before they were to set them off so that she could do a demonstration. “Good, I’d much rather they impact the correct people than my loyal followers,” she told her with a small smirk. She knew Diana Bainbridge was only loyal to her because, quite literally, she HAD to be. If the soul binding magic hadn’t worked, or broke somehow, she knew the Ravenclaw would turn on her in half a heartbeat, which meant she would have to kill her. Fortunately, it didn’t seem like that was going to happen any time soon; the only person who might be able to help was Zytka, and after graduation Diana wouldn’t have nearly as much contact with her. Elaine was studying up on a set of spells that would record who came and went from the Purifiers base, so she could see who was with whom when. It was a complicated spell, but she knew she could handle it. Perhaps it would seem on the side of paranoia to anyone else, but the only person Elaine wholly trusted was herself, which is why only she would know about it. “Extra spells to prevent Ministry fools from tampering with them was a key idea, excellent work Ursula. We wouldn’t want to be making a martyr out of people now would we?” she added, her twisted smile spreading across her face once more. She would much rather see peoples shocked looks when they realized they couldn’t do anything about it, rather than have one person go all hero-like to save the day.
Elaine let out a mirthless laugh as Ursula’s expression lit up her face at the press pass. “I would imagine you want to see your handiwork, since it went off so successfully at Kings Cross last summer,” she said, shrugging as if it was no big deal. She had swiped the pass from the Daily Prophet office when she had ventured there last week; Isolde had been interviewed by the Daily Prophet about the Tournament, and the opportunity was too good to pass up. She had charmed a false name for Ursula onto the Daily Prophet staff list, so it would not seem odd that she was there. “Just don’t draw any attention to yourself, and remember to act surprised,” she instructed, then sniggered. She knew plenty of her followers were the perfect actresses, and could pull off shock and horror very well, so she wasn’t worried about that.

Ursula nodded back to Elaine when she mentioned about not wanting an “accident” happen to any purifiers. While Ursula loved explosions, she understood that the bomb going after the correct target, with the maximum effect would be just perfect. Her bombs would also be appreciated a lot more with the maximum amount of damage. Extra precautions were something that Ursula had not thought of in her first bombing, but did start to think about it with the Kings Cross bombing. But now, she feels like she has almost perfected it. There was still room for improvement, as there is with everything, but she was positive that the Ministry wouldn’t have a chance with this. Well, not with the time provided. ”Not at all” She felt confidence to guarantee that.
”I do.” She wasn’t sure if she would be able to see these go off, but having the press pass in hand, Ursula’s smile widened. Ursula had full faith that now she would be able to walk in and be a part of the action. All she needed was a story, and a good surprised face. But not drawing attention to herself would be difficult for her, because it wasn’t her normal character. Ursula figured she would practice, and she could definitely do it so that she could watch her babies go off. ”Don’t worry, I won't be found out.” Come to think of it, she was able to plant the Kings Cross bomb, so all she would need to do is to do the same thing.

Elaine smiled at Ursula's’ confidence; it was good to have an explosives expert that was careful and loving with their work. Honestly it was how everyone should do their job to ensure accidents didn’t happen. She had carefully selected and tested out all of her current followers, and all had obviously passed, otherwise they still wouldn’t be breathing. She didn’t need to lose one yet if she didn’t have to, and especially not to carelessness. There was one or two new recruits she had to test before allowing them to become part of her inner circle, but their referrers were in good standing with her. One of course because she had absolutely no other choice to be, but that was besides the point.
Elaine could tell Ursula was quite excited to see her pets in action; she understood the feeling completely. It was why Elaine had so many...disguises after all; to see some of her plans come to fruition. Plus, since she was a wanted criminal she couldn’t very well venture out into the world as herself, and she was not blessed with the Metamorphmagi powers she had craved as a child. She supposed beggars could not be choosers, and she had been pleased with her lackeys disguises so far. She had spies planted to alert her if any of her people were suspected, and that had not happened yet thankfully. “I will see you there, my dear...Isolde has been invited as well,” she told her, her catlike grin stretching from ear to ear.

Ursula was good at faking confidence. But her confidence she had in her babies, was genuine. And to say that she was excited to see them explode was a bit of an understatement. Ever since her first explosion went off so well, she had obtained a rather unhealthy relationship to them. Ursula did wonder if Elaine herself would be there, but that wasn't anything that she needed to know, just a simple curiosity. But then her question was answered, even without her asking. ”Guess we can enjoy it together” Not side by side, but together. Ursula mirrored Elaine's cat like smile.
As the two exchanged grins, another member entered the base and Ursula despised herself quickly. It wasn't that she didn't want anyone to know who she was and that she was here, it's just she didn't want to be connected to the event. She enjoyed her double life, and she would hate for someone to ruin that. ”I'll return to show your planters what to do, but for now, I'll leave these in your capable hands, just now fiendfyre alright” she winked at the girl.

Elaine gave a chuckle, nodding at Ursula; she approved of the other womans’ shared interest in explosive destruction. The Kings Cross attacks had been Alastor’s idea of course, but Elaine had been the one to worm in the idea for magical explosives. It had been her henchman that found Ursula, not Alastor’s, which she never let him forget. Not that it mattered now; Alastor was completely under her control and everyone answered to her now. “So we shall, so we shall,” she agreed, her lips twisting into a cruel smile.
Elaine nodded curtly at Ursulas’ promise to come back and help her planters. “I appreciate you taking the time out of your day Ursula; I rather would like to gain followers not lose them to stupidity and missteps,” she explained, chuckling mirthlessly. She waved her hand and a large steel cabinet opened; the bombs hovered into the space and with another wave the door closed, locking it with a combination lock. “That reinforced steel will be enough to keep anyone nosy from looking, not that anyone would be so stupid, and only I know the combination,” she told Ursula, then turned to face her. “I’ll walk you out, I have other matters to attend to myself,” she said, gesturing for Ursula to walk out the way she came, with Elaine following behind.
