It was mid afternoon and the wind just felt so nice on her face that Sephy just needed to get outside. Her classes hadn't completely finished up just yet; she still had astronomy to attend later that night and she'd gone and eaten dinner with her sisters so she had a little bit more time until then to relax in the late April breeze. The sun was out and the rays were warm, there were tiny wisps of clouds floating by in the sky. Persephone inhaled deep as another light breeze floated on by. She was out sitting by the pond and the grass was nice and plush enough so she fell back into it, sighing in pure contentment. She knew this was a popular spot during this time of year, artists and couples alike liked the scenery enough to want to sit out and draw the scenery or snog, respectively, but she'd been lucky enough to make it here first today. And she'd gotten the best spot, right up on the edge of the pond.
If she closed her eyes, she knew there was a possibility of her falling asleep in her peaceful state. She did it anyway and as soon as her eyes shut, she suddenly became more peaceful. She pretty much blocked out the world. It didn't last too long. Not soon after, where the sun had shined on her lids, everything darkened just a bit. Someone was standing over her. She popped an eye open and it took her a moment for her eye to adjust so she could see who it was. Tag; open

It wasn't unusual for Quinn to duck outside, basically any change the girl got she was outside. As interesting as she still found the old castle, it wasn't as welcoming - or freeing, as the outdoors were - the open space, the trees and fresh air. It was like any worries she had just slipped right off her shoulders and away into the gentle wind. Today was like most others as she headed out with her bag tucked over her shoulder, most of her classes for the day were done and she was taking this chance to find some quiet and maybe do a little sketch or two before having to go back inside. The afternoon had that feeling to it, full of welcoming inspiration that warmed her body and flooded her mind with ideas, maybe she could even find someone she could draw, it had been awhile since she had focused on drawing a person. With a small smile she patted her bag, her mind already going over a few options she could sketch.
The pond was a well known spot, one that despite the great scenery - she often avoided due to there always being others nearby. But today she had caught sight of someone laying out on the grass and for some reason she felt she had to go check who it was. It was only when she was almost upon them did she recognize who it was, her lips quickly quirking up into a half grin as her mind runs over a few ideas. The most prominant one being - perhaps she could take this rare chance and sketch a quick portrait. Clearly she had at least dozed off if not already asleep, before she could decide though - eyes were opening and her chance was lost.
"Hey Seph." Quinn spoke quietly, letting her bag drop to the grass as she spoke, "Having an afternoon nap?"
Green eyes lit up as she stood over the still resting girl, waiting for her to shake the remains of her brief nap. Perhaps her afternoon may have some company after all, it was one thing she had learned at Hogwarts that wasn't magic related. Sometimes - a little company was better than that alone time she often felt like she needed.

She had to open her other eye to get them to focus enough to recognize who was standing over her but when she did, her dark brown eyes was staring into the bright green eyes of her best friend, Quinn. Suddenly her heart was a lot happier to see that it was someone she knew instead of something coming to try and kick her out of the spot she claimed, as some people believed they had to right to do. Just the thought of it made her shiver slightly in fear. She hated it when people yelled at her. But that was utterly beside the point. Her best friend was standing over her and blocking out the lovely sun but her best friend was lovely so it was okay. She proceeded to lift her hands up and make a frame with them, placing Quinns's face directly in the center of the frame she'd made. "I am certain I've told you this before but your eyes are super pretty in the sunlight," she stated in that distracted, airy tone that was all her own.
She then proceeded to sit up and laugh a bit before greeting her friend happily. "Hi Quinn. It's such a nice day out isn't it? I shouldn't be surprised you're out here too," she talked as she started removing pieces of grass from her hair, which was probably useless because she'd probably end back laying in the grass anyway because it had felt nice before. "Come out here to draw or what?" Tag; @mnm

She watched the slow process, a small smile on her face as she watched her friend shake the remains of her nap. Her smile brightening when she could see the realization form on Persephone's face when she realized who it was now standing over her. Quinn's eyes blinked quickly, her lip catching between her teeth as she tried to not grin too much at her words, instead trying to roll her eyes - shaking her head slowly at the compliment, "You're such a flatterer - but thank you Seph and I am pretty sure you have told me that before at some point." It was true, she was certain that had been said before - but it still made her stomach flip and her smile brighten all the same.
As her friend sat up, she happily invited herself to drop down beside her, "You're such a mess.." Quinn spoke quietly as she caught sight of all the grass now sticking to her," her hand reaching out with a slight ease as she messes with the other girls hair - helping to remove the grass while also messing up her hair even more, "It is a nice day, perfect weather - even better lighting." She nodded slightly, eyes darting over to the water - it was a nice view and she knew why this spot was usually so popular with artists, "Yeah I did," she quickly grabbed her bag, tugging it closer to show inside, "I got all my things - but then I saw this girl - she was just taking a nap and I realized it'd be more fun to bother her instead." Her lips quirked into a tiny grin, shooting a look back at her friend, "So you wanna try and nap your afternoon away - or should we do something fun?" @sephy

Quinn called her a flatterer as she sat up, saying that she was sure that Seph had said that too her before. "Well I just thought it would be a good idea to remind you. Also a reminder to myself that the sun does more than burn me," she said with a light laugh. Persephone got sun burnt very easily and it was one thing that she didn't like so much about being outside. She tried to remember to put on sunscreen every time she expected to go outside but she didn't always expect to go outside, like today. There was a chance she might burn today too. When Quinn sat down next to her and began helping her clean the grass out of her hair, she laughed once again and shook her hair a little to further the mess factor. "I'll probably lay in the grass again so you can help me clean it later too," her grin was cheeky and playful and she proceeded to put her hair in low pigtails using the elastics she kept her wrist.
The Ravenclaw proceeded to agree that it was a beautiful day out, commenting that the lighting was good as only an artist could before adding in that she had been out there to draw originally before she'd seen her laying in the grass. "Napping can definitely be fun! But I agree we can find something else to do if you want? Oh but I would love to watch you draw! That would be fun for me. And that way I won't be interrupting what you'd come out to do anyway," she spoke her ideas quickly, one after the other, as she turned to her friend and set her hands in her lap and when she was finished she huffed out a breath. "But really whatever you would like to do is fine." Tag; @mnm

Quinn couldn't help but let her smile out, it was almost funny how comfortable she felt - her eyes lighting up as she listened to what Seph was saying, honestly it was ... nice. Hearing such simple things that made her feel good, even if it was just about her eyes - her body froze for a moment though, quickly digging into her bag and pulling out a small tube of sunscreen. Quinn herself tended to burn a little easy, not as easy as some - mostly it was her face that ended up suffering though, "You're not gonna burn yourself on my watch Sephy - can't have you getting your pretty skin all burnt in my company and coming back inside resembling a tomato." Her cheeks warmed from something other than the sun as she rolls her eyes, pulling her hand back from the other girls hair, "Knowing you - that wouldn't surprise me, but I'd still help clean you up - although I won't be surprised if you end up with grass stains all over too."
She lets out a small sigh, closing her eyes for a moment as the gentle warmth of the sun warms her body, it really was a nice day, "Wait.." her eyes open again, curiously looking back at her friend with a wide smile, "You mean to say that you'd just sit here and watch as I draw? How would that be fun for you though? Then again.. I could just use you as a model." Her eyes danced playfully as she pulls out one of her smaller sketch books, flipping through it - stopping ocassionally to examine a drawing or sketch before finally landing on a blank page, her other hand already grabbing for one of her pencils as she continues to speak, "Mind you - I already have a few sketches of you.. " her words were casual, although the tiny flush in her cheeks was almost un-noticed as she ducked her head - eyes focusing on the paper and her hand slowly moving to draw something. Usually she didn't go and say such things, it usually led to someone asking to see them and - as much as she loved drawing, sharing those wasn' something she often did. "So," Quinn stumbled over her words - shaking her head to clear her thoughts, "What did you wanna do? Or do you really just wanna watch me draw? I promise its not really all that interesting to watch."

Sephy's eyebrows lifted in curiosity as Quinn paused before a moment and begin digging in her bag. It must have been something important to her, Sephy thought, for her to stop so suddenly. When the girl produced the small tube of sunscreen and mentioned that she wouldn't let her get sun burnt while she was around while also complimenting her skin, Sephy placed her hands on her cheeks and gave another bright smile. "Aww you take such good care of me! Thank you, Quinn," her voice was filled with awe as she spoke, taking the tube and proceeding to put the sunscreen on her face and neck. "You're right, I should definitely avoid turning into a tomato. I can feel the pain just thinking about it though, " she added with a sigh as an after thought before she handed the sunscreen back over to her. It hadn't actually been the first time Quinn had saved her from the sun. She was rather lucky that is wasn't already deeper in the summer or she'd already have red spots appearing on her face. Quinn then stated she'd still help her with her grass problem but that she would probably have grass stains everywhere anyway, prompting another giggle and nod of agreement from Seph.
The Ravenclaw had closed her eyes momentarily while she'd spoken but they suddenly opened again in pleasant surprise when she mentioned watching her draw and Seph's face lit up with amusement. "Your art is important! And if I can be here in support while you do something that's important to you then I'm happy," she commented with an a bright smile lighting up her face. She had to show her friend that she supported the things that were important to her. Plus she just really wanted to stay around her, even while she was drawing. She'd said she had come out to draw before so Seph didn't want to interrupt that. She could easily find enjoyment in watching Quinn enjoy drawing. The Ravenclaw mentioned Seph being her model and she laughed just as Quinn added in that she'd already had a few sketches of her. Seph's heart warmed up instantly and a tinge of red appeared in her cheeks as she grinned; Quinn must have been slightly embarrassed by the confession because she attempted to skip over it by asking her if she really wanted to watch her draw. "The scenery is too perfect to pass up. So how about you get this perfect scenery on paper and I can lay in the grass and you can draw me. And I'll get to watch you draw and be your model too. Everyone wins," she suggested as she gave a chipper shrug. "And you don't have to worry about that because I'm already interested and I'm already having fun. What do you say?"

Handing over the sunscreen, Quinn gave a quick grin - she had grown used to making sure she had some in her bag - both for Seph's sake and her own. Mostly though for situations like these - finding the other girl outside and at risk of becoming as red as a tomato and even more painful. Sunburn was never fun - but being easy to burn made it a whole lot worse, "You're welcome Sephy." a little chuckle escapes her mouth before she speaks up again quickly, her eyes watching to make sure the other girl didn't miss a spot, "Well - someone has to look out for you, so why not have that be me?" she spoke softly, rolling her green eyes slightly - a small smile still on her face as she watches Seph, "Ahh but you'd still make a pretty little Tomato - but, I don't want you being in pain just because you forgot that the sun seems to enjoy burning us." Quinn gave a small laugh, shaking her head slightly as she tucked it back into her bag safely - she'd have to remember to make sure to get another tube next time she could get one, better safe than sorry after all. As much as she loved the school, being outside on days like this were just... wonderful. She felt so much calmer out here than she had inside - then again, a huge part of that was likely the company she now had. It was funny almost, how comfortable she had become around her friend. While with some of her other friends she still felt like she was a little bit on edge - watching what she said or did, almost like she was hiding a side of her. With Seph it was less like that, sometimes she didn't think - she just said what came to mind - which maybe wasn't always a good idea. As she felt the warmth in her cheeks, blushing slightly as she said something or another. Still, Seph didn't seem to mind - even joking or just smiling about it. She felt it again though, as she listened to her friends words, her heart warming just as much as she let Seph's words sink in. "Your art is important! And if I can be here in support while you do something that's important to you then I'm happy," Seph cared - well she kne that already, Seph was one of her best friends. But.. more than that, Seph knew her art was important to her. Something that most pushed aside or ignored as something not important. Not only did she care though, but she was happy and she supported it. Because it was important to her... to her. It was such a small thing, but to Quinn - it was one of the most important things. Quinn felt a burning in her eyes, making her blink quickly - she was touched by the words, more than she could say. She let her eyes focus on the blank page in her sketch book, her hand already moving slowly and forming a few familiar lines as she let a small fond smile form on her face. She doubted she could ever say how much those simple words meant to her - how it was one of the first times someone had even said those words to her. Her hair fell into her eyes, covering her face slightly as she let out a small laugh - hoping her eyes didn't show that she had been close to tearing up a moment ago as she looked back at the other girl, "Alright - Alright, you win. It sounds like we have a plan - and if you doze off again, I'll just have to wake you up when I'm done - I hope you don't get bored watching me though." Her eyes brightened as she watched for a moment before letting her eyes drop back to the paper - already sketching the scenery away on the paper, letting Seph get herself comfortable again. Quinn already dropping back into her element, her drawings may not be the best - far from it, but she had some talent - and she had a ton of passion and love for it, as her hand moved swiftly - taking a gentle care with each stroke - her eyes moving fast between the scenery and back to the paper again. @sephy

At Quinn's comment about her being a cute tomato, Sephy grinned cutely and giggled. Her cheeks were beginning to hurt for the amount of smiling she'd done just today so to alleviate that pain, she took care to rub the sunscreen into her cheeks like a massage and it made it just a little bit better. The pain wasn't a bad pain though; she'd long ago grown accustomed to the feeling. She always seemed to smile too much, smile to that point where her cheeks were hurting when she was around the Ravenclaw because Quinn had that effect on her. She was always smiling when Quinn was around for one reason or another, usually tied to something she said about her or the way she smiled at Sephy. Or the way she blushed so much when she thought she'd said something embarrassing that Seph didn't find embarrassing at all."I think it's hard for me to be pretty when I'm in pain, " she giggled just as she was sure the sunscreen was in place, "but I think we'd both make cute tomatoes. But I also don't want to see you in pain so thank you for having sunscreen on hand with you!" They'd both be able to enjoy the weather now that they were protected from the sun. They both liked being outside too much but Quinn was always smarter about it; she was smarter in general and Seph wasn't afraid to admit that about her best friend.
Between her reasoning for not minding sitting and watching her draw and her suggestion for what they should do, it took Seph a few seconds too many to realized that Quinn had gone quite. She had been off in her head for just a moment, separating her thought processing while she was explaining everything to Quinn that when she came out of her own world and noticed the quiet, she looked at her friend in question. She noticed then that Quinn was blinking furiously, something she knew too well as a sign of crying. It was a chain reaction and she had to hold back her own tears, blinking as well. Was it something she'd said? She didn't mean to make her cry! She quickly thought over what she'd said before she'd noticed and realized what it was she may have been tearing up at. She'd told her that her art was important to her. Of course her art was important to her! Quinn was important to her! So anything that she found important would be equally as important to Seph. Maybe Sephy didn't tell her that enough. She'd have to make sure to do that from now on. She wiped her eyes of the tears just as she heard Quinn speaking, saying that if she dozed off again she would just have to wake her up. Sephy nodded enthusiastically and got into the position that she wanted to be in the picture. And then she changed her mind, laying on her stomach. And then she changed her mind again, laying on her right side facing towards the scenery. She changed her mind once again, in a huff, and turned so that she was facing Quinn this time. "I don't know how I should lay... What should I be doing in the picture? Pose me however you think is best!" her voice started out in a bit of a whine as she was frustrated and couldn't decide on what to do. Maybe it was best to ask the person who was drawing you?

Hearing the other girl giggle brightened Quinn's own smile, her eyes lighting up as she gave a fond little smile at the sound. Her own cheeks hurt slightly from all of the smiling but she couldn't bring it in herself to be upset, it was something she had learnt a long time ago now - Around Sephy she was almost always smiling. It was something the other girl was extremely good at doing - it was almost like Seph had some kind of amazing magic over her. Some kind of magic that Seph alone possessed. Her best friend had a gift when it came to that. Her presence alone seemed to brighten Quinn's day and brought out a lighter side to the Ravenclaw girl, around Seph she didn't have to think things over or worry about trivial things - she could just relax and ... be herself. No worries, no fears - Seph never cared if Quinn did or said something stupid and embarrassed herself.
Quinn gave her own little giggle, shaking her head as she watched Seph with gentle eyes, "Seph.. even in pain you still look pretty, but I much prefer you not being in pain as you in pain just breaks my heart."It was warm today she had pulled on one of her lighter long sleeved shirts before coming out side, but she has still made sure to wear sunscreen before coming outside - the last thing she wanted was a burn, and that meant for Seph too. She gave a small sigh, closing her eyes and tilting her head back towards the sky, being outside was always nice - it was freeing. But now with Seph by herside - she already felt free and instantly relaxed in the other girls presence.
It had taken a little too long to push her tears aside - overwhelmed with that wave of happiness - of feeling cared for. She was important to Seph, what she cared about was important to Seph. It meant more to Quinn than she could have put into words, so she was kind of glad that the other girl hadn't asked what was wrong - but it seemed she had noticed that Quinn had been close to tears. When Quinn noticed however that Sephy was close to her own tears she had a very brief moment of panic - her heart clenching tightly at the sight of tears building in her bestfriends eyes, "Seph.." her name fell from Quinn's mouth as she reached a hand out, only then realizing she had no idea what to say - should she apologize? should she thank her? Maybe both? Or maybe she should just hug her - the last option won out as she leaned closer, wrapping an arm gently around the other blonde, giving the lightest squeeze before pulling back with a small smile, allowing her friend to try and decide on how she wanted to lay down.
Gentle laughter quickly followed as she watched the constant changing of positions, biting at her bottom lip lightly, "It doesn't matter Seph - you could stand on your head and flip me off and I'd still think it was the greatest pose just cause its you." The words came out without a single though before hand, instantly surprising herself before shaking her head and letting her eyes drop to her sketch book again - already there was a small picture - a quick sketch of Seph, just her face really - without realizing it she had drawn that while they had been talking. "Seriously though - just relax Seph, don't think about it - be natural - be you." She smiled and placed her sketch book on the ground, reaching over to lightly tap the other girls cheek, "Like you were before - comfortable and relaxed with the sun framing you. I don't know about others but I prefer drawing people naturally."

"Okay okay. I don't want to break your heart so I'm going to try better to put on sunscreen. Even if I don't think I'm going to come outside," Persephone said in response to Quinn's words about her being in pain broke her heart. She felt the same exact way! She couldn't help but admit that it felt so nice to be cared about like that. Of course he sisters and Dustin cared about her but they were her family. Of course they cared about her. Quinn was her best friend though and the fact that Quinn cared about her and for her the way that she did meant so much to her. Sephy watched Quinn turn her face up to the sun. She'd closed her eyes this time so she couldn't see the way the rays bounced around her eyes the way they did before but she sighed in contentment watching how happy she looked because she felt the same exact way. She easily equated it to the fact that not only was she outside and enjoying the weather but Quinn was outside with her enjoying the sun.
Just as Seph started to get into position for the painting, she heard Quinn whisper her name and when she looked up at her friend, Quinn's hand was extended towards her. Persephone gave her a gentle smile as she saw the questions flash in the girls eyes. She must have noticed her crying too and was trying to console her and it did but tears formed in the girls eyes once again just as Quinn reached over to her and gave her a hug. The hug was filled with all of the warmth and happiness she expected and she felt so happy that she squeezed her friend back just before she pulled away, trying to push as much of her feelings as she could into just that short interaction, and mirrored her smile. She always wanted to be there for Quinn and wanted to offer her support whenever she needed it from her. She wiped her eyes once again of the tears that had come up once again before seeing Quinn go back to drawing.
After her indecision, she listened intently as Quinn gave her a bit of direction before she burst out laughing at the interesting picture of herself that the Ravenclaw had painted. "The flipping off part would be very rude of me so I would never. I don't think I can do a head stand and manage to do that at the same time anyway but if you asked it of me I would definitely try for you," she finished, thinking about it again and giggling once again. As she calmed down, she listened once again to her directions, laughing when Quinn tapped her on the cheek lightly. Just be herself, like she had been before. Relax. She took a deep breath then. Maybe the position she'd been in before would be fine then? She laid down on her back once again as she'd been when she'd first laid by the pond, her face turned towards the sun and her arms spread out a little bit. The sun felt so warm on her face. Thanks to Quinn, she had sunscreen now so the warmth wasn't going to be painful later. She sighed happily and enjoyed the feeling before she looked down at Quinn once again. Because the Ravenclaw was supposed to be drawing her, she should have probably been trying to be still. She had told her that she'd wanted to watch her draw though too and it was really hard to do that, be like she was before, and watch her draw at the same time. So maybe she would just stay in position like that, watching her while she drew her. Tag; @mnm

Quinn's face brightened at the words, softening as she smiled in thanks, "Well - my heart thanks you for your kindness, and - really, thank you Seph - I don't want you to be in pain regardless." She cared a lot about the other girl, more than she had ever really cared about someone before - it had been so strange at first, now it was almost.. comforting. How she was feeling was now familiar to her - a way she felt for Seph and her alone it seemed. She was her bestfriend, and while she had other friends she considered her bestfriends as well - Sephy was special. None of her other friends made her feel so many things at once, she didn't worry about any of her other friends getting a little sunburnt - and none of her other friends made her heart beat so fast she felt it would jump out of her chest. Just thinking about how Seph made her feel - it made her smile. Because that was what she made her feel - happy.
Her thoughts calmed as she kept her eyes closed for a moment, enjoying the feeling of being close to her bestfriend - if there was one thing - other than the whole magic thing, that she had gotten used to and actually begun to enjoy about being at Hogwarts it was having people who she wasn't afraid to let touch her. Sephy was one of the best huggers she had ever met, and feeling the warmth in the squeeze back - instantly relaxed Quinn once more. Hoping the other girl was feeling better now - the idea that she had in any way made the other girl cry, the thought clenched at her heart and reminded her of what she was hiding. Maybe she should talk to Seph about that, but not today - today was their chance of a happy afternoon. Together.
Her hand moved over the paper, drawing faint lines and shading in a little, it was the sound of her friend laughing though that made her eyes move back to the other girls figure - her own eyes brightening as she watched the emotions, the twitch of her lips and the gentle crinkle of the girls eyes as she spoke. Quinn felt her heart beat a little quicker as she smiled and gave her own gentle laugh, "True - but it would be fun to see - maybe I will ask you to try it one day.. for.. research..." her eyes danced in amusement at the thought, while she'd be careful that Sephy wouldn't get hurt - it would be fun to try.
Her eyes watch, softening as she watches her friend finally relax again, seeing her finally relaxing Quinn flipped over to the next blank page - reminding herself to later go back to the half done portrait of Seph she had been sketching while they had been talking. Her face relaxing as she begins to sketch out the familiar lines that made up her bestfriend, there was a tiny smile on her lips as he hand worked - quickly but carefully drawing out the outline, her hair falling into her face slightly but she didn't seem to notice as she drew. Focusing instead on what she was doing, begining to shade in a few details - her eyes darting up surprisingly not as often as expected. Quinn knew Seph's face probably better than her own.

"Right. For research, I can definitely do it," Persephone's giggles continued a little at Quinn's suggestion that she try the head stand one day. She could do a handstand no problem but headstands were definitely more difficult. They might be made easier with magic though so maybe Quinn could balance her with a charm and she would be able to do it. It might still hurt just a little bit but she think the pain would be manageable. The amusement that was clear in Quinn's eyes made her her giggle a little bit harder before she was able to fully straighten up and get back to the task at hand. Right, Quinn was supposed to be drawing her which also meant she was supposed to be being still. She could totally manage that one. Or at least she could pretend to manage that. She wanted to make sure that Quinn had what she needed so she wouldn't mess up the picture. She also didn't want Quinn to get frustrated with her so she tried her best.
Sephy watched Quinn closely as she really began to get into her drawing. She was relaxed in the grass, her hands laying lightly on her stomach and her neck was titled at an angle that would probably get uncomfortable if she kept it that way for too long but it was the only way she could stay still and watch Quinn draw. She was focused. Her hair was down in her face, as it tended to be when she was completely focused on the thing that sat in front of her. They was a grace in the way her hand moved on the pages. Every time she looked up to study the scene, Seph caught her eye and gave her a soft smile and she felt her heart grow lighter each time. That was how Quinn made her feel. Light. Like air. Like leaves floating on the air. Her face felt a little warm as she thought about it but she never pulled her eyes away from Quinn.
See, last year, the year after she officially became friends with Quinn, Seph realized that Quinn meant a lot to her. More than a friend. More than a best friend actually. Which was odd for her so she'd made herself reevaluate how she felt because she knew she could get carried away sometimes when it came to her friends. She didn't get crushes on people easily but she cared about other people easily and sometimes it was hard for her to tell the difference so she gave herself time when she wasn't sure. After thinking about it, she realized the feelings weren't going away. So she tried to be around her as much as she could without becoming a bother. They still hadn't gone away yet. Even now, laying down there and looking at her, Seph felt it bloom in her heart.
After a few minutes of watching her draw on the paper, her cheeks starting to hurt again from smiling so much, she moved just a little bit to scratch her nose but she still didn't turn away. "You're so cute when you draw. So happy," she spoke lightly and giggled a bit. It was like there wasn't anyone else there she was so focused. And Seph was so focused on her that it was like there wasn't anyone there but the both of them. Tag; @mnm

Quinn giggled softly, shaking her head - honestly she would never force Seph to do such a thing, particularly if it might hurt her in some way, but the idea was in her head and it was fun to joke around about maybe - possibly, making it happen in some way. Although there were ways to do it without any risk of harm - magic was always there as an option after all, a quick little spell and she could easily help with that - but that would be something they could maybe work on at a later time. For now they were relaxing and she had a picture to sketch out to draw her bestfriend. Of course - she had many drawings already of the other blonde, many of which had never been seen by eyes other than her own. Perhaps one day she could bring out the courage to actually show her bestfriend of of them. Over the past two years, Sephy had kind of become a muse for Quinn - one of her favorite subjects to draw.
"Maybe we should make a list, write out some silly poses for both of us to try ... it could be a silly little fun thing we just do." It sure sounded fun, plus that way they might both end up doing silly things, and - well it would probably make Seph laugh and Quinn loved when she could make her friend laugh even at her own expense.
Even now as she focuses on sketching out this picture, the lines were so familiar - she could likely close her eyes and draw them better than anything else. Her body calm and relaxed, she didn't even really notice she was being watched - although Seph had said she wanted to watch her, Quinn was lost in the familiar motions of her hand gently drawing against her book, a small smile forming on her lips as slowly the lines formed into the picture of her bestfriend. Her eyes darting back up after a moment, taking back in the relaxing figure of Seph - a small blush burning across her cheeks as she sees her friends eyes on her. Her heart beating hard against her chest as she gives a tiny smile before her head darts down again, her lip catching between her teeth as she feels her smile widening. Her body felt calm, her heart light as she knows now she's being watched - but that look on Seph's face had been so.. happy. It warmed her body from head to toe.
It had been the previous Summer, amidst all the pain and horrible feelings. She had still recieved letters, through the 'muggle' mail - letters from Seph, they had been a brightness among the darkness - something special that she held onto. There had always been something special there, something that made her friendship with Seph just a little different than with her other friends - she cared about each of her friends of course, they were all special to her - But Seph was different, there was something - she knew it had been there, but what it was had been a little harder for her to place her finger on - until that Summer. The way she was feeling was different, the way the Hufflepuff made her feel was different - something she didn't feel towards her other friends. She had gotten a few letters from other friends - but it was the ones from Seph that made her forget about everything else, much like had come to realize she did even in the other girls company. Everything else would fall away, leaving just the two of them.
Over the Summer she had come to a huge realization - She had feelings for her bestfriend.
Now it was something she had grown comfortable with, although at times it was a little hard - trying to remind herself on how to act. She still felt that warmth when Seph would smile at her, her heart beating a little harder at gentle affection and when she made the other girl laugh she could swear her heart would skip inside her chest. Yes, she was definately crushing pretty darn hard. Quinn blinked quickly, even lost in her thoughts she hadn't missed a beat - having been continuing to draw and the picture was turning out well as she gently sketched in some details. Her pencil slipped - falling from her hand and onto the grass as she hears Seph break the gentle silence - but its her words that made her head jolt up, eyes blinking quickly.
"I... Did you just call me cute?" Her voice jumped, her eyes darting up quickly - her face she swore was burning as red as a tomato, "I'm not cute.." even as she gently argued the comment, her lips turned into a small smile - "Its you that makes me happy - I get to draw my favorite subject - with you right here beside me.." the words tumbled out, without a thought behind them, her eyes brightening even as she realizes what she had said outloud. It didn't matter, not really - it was the truth, and Seph - well, she deserved to know that much right? This little bubble they were in, it was their own - and - maybe she didn't mind if she embarrassed herself a little, at least not in front of her bestfriend.

Sephy laughed once again when Quinn suggested that they come up with poses to try. Now that sounded like fun! She could do that! "We could use magic to make them even sillier! I can't wait!," she'd hopped up in her excitement but quickly realized that she was supposed to be still for the drawing, winced and then laid back down in the position she'd been in before. "Whoops, sorry!" She giggled once again as she laid her hands on her tummy and looked back down at Quinn, continuing to watch her as she sketched. She sometimes found herself wishing that she could draw so she had something else in common with Quinn. Just watching her experience the peace she was sure she felt made her want to experience it too. And then maybe she would be able to draw Quinn like Quinn was drawing her now.
She remembered once over the previous summer, Quinn had been talking about her art in one of their letters and she'd tried her hand at drawing. She'd wanted it to turn out well so bad but she'd had no such luck. It had been just a bunch of misplaced lines and she'd cried about it so much that her sisters had made attempts to console. She'd calmed down a bit later but she'd still been a bit sad about how bad it had been. Maybe she could take up something that was similar but didn't require her to draw. Maybe photography might do? One of her housemates, Cordelia, was a photographer and carried around her camera a lot. She could ask her about photography and maybe she could take pictures of Quinn instead! Just imaging all of the pictures she could take in front of pretty scenery made her happy and she popped up once again at the idea. Realizing what she'd done, she laughed a bit, keeping her thoughts to herself, and laid back down.
Seph giggled and grinned at Quinn's outrage at being called cute. Her face had turned red and Seph assumed that she was embarrassed by the compliment which made her giggle even more because she was too adorable for words. "You are totally cute! You have to know how cute you are!" Seph wanted to poke her cheek like the Ravenclaw had done to her earlier but she didn't want to move from her spot any more than she had already. She had to know right? Seph absolutely though Quinn was super cute, and that had nothing to do with the massive crush she had on her. Or maybe it did. Quinn was easily one of the cutest girls in the school! Even though Sephy thought most of the girls in the school were cute, Quinn had a special place, as her best friend, on the list."Seriously you have to know!" she insisted with an enthusiastic nod of her head.
