‘Just another Weasley,’ those words still to this day rang through his ears. Growing up the red hair often became a giveaway of who he was, including his financial status. Sometime he grew up really hating to be known as a Weasley, always feeling as if he were lost in the crowd, and never fully being known for who he truly was. Looking back now he felt as if he was a foolish young teenager, lost in his years of what he deemed important. Growing up, he could now see that items were a lot more important than how much money you brought in. He looked back and felt he was more privileged then some other kids growing up, because he had a family that loved him to the stars and back. That seemed so much more important now than having the best of everything. He saw so many families that were broken and that was one thing nobody could ever take away from him, a family that loved him. He may have had to go without at certain points in his life, but at the end of the day his riches in love were unlimited.
However, for his own children he liked to make sure they never felt the way he did growing up. Knowing from experience that expressing love is the most meaningful thing to a child, it doesn’t always work. He certainly learned this from experience, his poor mum never had enough credit. That women held so much love in her heart, he was surprised she was still standing. Being an Auror, his wife having her own career as well, meant that Ronald was able to provide a little more ‘replaceable’ items for his family. His children were able to have better equipment then he ever had growing up. Sometimes he wondered if he was ruining them for their future, not letting them collect everything on their own. But, he had a difficult time saying no to his children, he did only have two after all, a little girl, and a little boy. They may not be little anymore, but they would always be his ‘little children.’ He was so grateful for his family, he was so grateful for what he was able to have now. Of course, to some families, the purebloods of course, him and his children would always be ‘the overpopulated Weasley’s’ but as mentioned…he was proud of this fact now.
He knew his children needed some money for new equipment for classes, they had both wrote him yesterday morning asking for equipment, with an added bonus of asking for Hogsmead money. He couldn’t really tell them no in regards to the schooling, and what would an extra little amount do harm? He supposed they deserved a few treats, that and with the way the world was going right now, he knew that having a little extra spending money for a Hogsmead trip might take their mind off things. However, if it were up to Ronald he’d prefer them be at home under his protection right now, but that was seemingly something he couldn’t really control.
This is what brought him to Gringott’s today, to pull out money of course. After pulling out some money he made his way out of the door, but before he even reached the door he found himself running into someone. “Oh, bloody hell,” he let out, as the little bag of coins fell from his hands.
((sorry, not a great start. But, open!
