hello there, my name is Oliver Forrester but you can call me Ollie. i'm a Ravenclaw and Fifteen so that makes me a Fifth Year at Hogwarts. You could say I'm intelligent, knowledgeable, & witty but I personally think that I am creative, loyal & stubborn. People say I look a lot like Cameron Boyce, but I don't really see it...

Oliver looks much like his playby, with his messy curly hair, dark brown eyes - and freckles covering much of his body. While he is thin and a little on the smaller side - his limbs are quite lanky due to a recent growth spurt over the summer - making him quite a bit clumsy when on his own two feet. Oliver has naturally dark hair, but since his first year he has often changed his hair - making it almost white in colour. He has no piercings and has no plans to have any at this point in time.
Oliver takes pride in his uniform, almost always having his uniform perfectly kept - except for his tie which he hates to wear. Unlike most guys his age, Oliver actually enjoys certain aspects of fashion - although he has his own things to say on certain 'trends' that just don't make sense to him. When Oliver is not in his Hogwarts uniform its common to see him in an outfit that may appear to be a little 'out there' they always seem to suit him just fine though.

At times people wonder why Oliver was placed in Ravenclaw - that isn't to say he doesn't belong there, the sorting hat certainly believed it was the best place for him to thrive. But Oliver is a rather gentle hearted kind of guy, with an unwavering loyalty towards his friends and his family. He is at times extremely quiet, often he says it is just being thoughtful as he gets lost in his own mind. But true to his house traits, he has a strong curiousity and an eagerness to learn that proves his Ravenclaw traits are stronger within him. Oliver however can become a bit of a perfectionist, between hating to fail and a core stubborness - no one is harder on him than himself if he doesn't do something as well as he expects of himself.
When Oliver was in his younger years at school it was extremely rare to hear him speak much - to the point that often people would forget he was in a room, he had a horrible stutter that at least these days has improved somewhat, along with his confidence. These days however it mostly only happens badly when he is scared or nervous. His conversational skills however still leave much to be desired on Oliver's part, he just simply feels awkward sometimes talking with people he doesn't know all that well. When he does feel comfortable however it is easy to tell, as he will happily joke and converse showing a playful and goofy side to him that few get to truly see.
Oliver has several things he loves immensley - the one most know him for is his love for flying and Quidditch, although recently he has become a little more than clumsy on his feet - when he is on a broom and in the air, this changes dramatically. From the start of his first year he has been obsessed with being up in the air and at the earliest chance to learn to play the sport he jumped at the oppertunity, much like in any new chance to learn something - Oliver absorbed all he could. However it isn't the only great love in his life, the other is music - from dancing to singing, Oliver has found a new world within music that he has come to enjoy escaping into.

Oliver's story started before he first met his mothers. Before becoming a 'Forrester' he had another family before them - although he doesn't remember their names or faces, he did have a family before the one he now knows and loves. While he was raised in a half-blooded wizard house hold - he was born to a muggle couple and for the first few years of his life he lived purely in the muggle world. But his birth parents being both Muggle - began to fear as their young son had magical outbursts and no one understood what was going on. Sadly Oliver's muggle parents lack of understanding which led to their son being feared and mistreated until it led them to leave him alone at a police station step when he was just four years old. But his story didn't end there.
Oliver had someone watching over him, a neighbor had become aware of the child, they had been aware of magic themselves although didn't possess magic themselves - and after witnessing the parents leaving their child - he had gathered the boy up and instead took him to a magical orphanage, a place that would understand the strange things that happened and the outbursts of magic. But although it was a positive, the damage from his birth parents had been done. So his new life began, at four years old - not understanding at the time why he was now alone or what he had done wrong. As he grew - many of his memories of his muggle parents faded, no longer remembering names or faces - but there were things he did remember, even if not who had done them - he did have an aversion to small spaces that he could not fully understand. And he hated being inside too long, no matter the weather.
It was at the Orphanage however that he did meet someone important, who he began to call his 'twin' - a young boy who was around his age and shared a birthday with him. Often people spoke of the resemblence between them, which for awhile actually did make young Oliver believe that they were family. The children bonded quickly and found comfort in one another. They weren't really twins but the children stuck together as often as they could and referred to one another as 'twin' much of the time. This same child he had grown so attached to, would later be adopted by the same couple and on the same day as Oliver would be.
He was a curious little child, learning to read at a young age was something that set him apart a little - he was extremely tiny for his age, and had a face - and body - full of freckles - he was different. He was smart and had an eagerness to learn new things - books helped him to learn new things - so why wouldn't he like books because of that fact alone? He did not have many friends - his only real friend was the child he called his sibling. It was here that Oliver's stutter started and he did not talk much - instead he would sit and read or play with his 'twin', everyone else was a little scary or he would be worried they would make fun of how he spoke. It became a common place thing for him to whisper what he wanted to say to his 'twin' and for his thoughts to be spoken that way.
The day Oliver first met his mothers is one he fondly remembers, being Six when he was adopted he does remember parts of it well. He remembers being scared - and he remembers hiding behind his 'brother', he remembers their smiles and how it made him feel braver in an instant. But most of all, he remembers a few days later being asked if he would like to be part of their family. It was after that though that Oliver truly can say he had a good life growing up, he was loved - something that he knows some kids aren't lucky enough to have, he was loved and he had a family that loved him. His mothers adopted not just him but the child who he had called his 'twin' - the boy who was his brother in all but their blood.
He gained a lot that day, his whole family was put together - a bunch of lost puzzle pieces that some how fit together in a whole new puzzle. His mothers already had an older child, a girl a little older than Oliver and she was his new sister - he had a full family, and it was special and his own. Of course there were some struggles, and for a while Oliver was scared of making mistakes - afraid if he was not good enough that he would not be able to keep his new family.
For the most part, Oliver's childhood after being adopted was rather normal - his mothers lived more in the Muggle World, allowing the children to attend muggle school until their magical education would take over. Something that Oliver enjoyed immensely - at least academically if not too much socially. His stutter caused some problems but his family remained patient and it was something they worked on together. With his mothers and siblings at his side, Oliver's personality began to bloom - while he was still quiet most of the time - he had a sillier and more relaxed side. He loved to make others around him laugh - even if it was mostly laughing at his own antics.
As far as Oliver saw, and felt - his family was pretty normal - at least for a family that had magical people of course - but it wasn't until after his older sister received her Hogwarts letter and began her first year at school that Oliver became aware that not everyone saw their family the same way that Oliver did. While his oldest sister was now attending Hogwarts, the magical school that Oliver had already started reading as much about as he possibly could, Oliver and his brother were still attending their muggle education. It was here that Oliver had his first interactions with someone he later learned was often called a homophobe, the interaction led to a then eight year old Oliver to come home upset.
It was the first time he had heard certain words he knew as 'rude' and 'nasty' tossed around, the first time someone had spoken of his mothers in a way he certainly did not like or approve of. It had made him feel angry - how could his mothers be seen as these bad people? They were good people - and they were certainly good mothers. For Oliver, he couldn't understand what he had heard - and when he didn't understand things - he looked them up, so he tried to understand. This time though - he could not find the answers he was seeking in any kind of books.
Despite what he had heard these people say about his mothers and his family, after not finding answers - he decided that those people just didn't understand, his family was fine for him and he knew his mothers loved him and his siblings even if they weren't related by 'blood'. So - maybe the answers for his questions were simpler than he had thought - the problem must not be with his family but rather it was with the people who had said those things. It made more sense for Oliver this way, because really - what was the big problem anyway?
It was a few months later that Oliver had a friend follow him home, a furry friend in the form of a young dog - where he had come from, Oliver didn't know but the dog had taken a strong liking towards the freckled boy and there was something special there that Oliver couldn't explain. He knew the dog had a name and proudly stated it - telling his mothers the dog didn't have a home - because he told him he didn't. Zeke became very much a bestfriend - a boy and his dog was a special friendship after all.
-
The day another letter came was one that left a bitter taste in Oliver's mouth - while of course he was happy, he was also down right terrified. For the first time since the orphanage - Oliver wouldn't have his 'twin' around. For a whole year it'd be him on his own, or well - with Zeke and his mothers - but he wouldn't have the reassuring presence of his 'twin'. He put on a brave face, the bravest that he could muster as he waved off what he considered his other half off to Hogwarts. A empty feeling settling in his chest. It took him ages to adjust and he certainly was rather withdrawn for awhile, it was strange to not have his brother with him. But he made it the year through, eagerly sending letters whenever he could and happily reading about the things going on with his brothers world.
The day Oliver got his own letter was a special one, while it was pretty easily known he possessed magical abilities - the fact that he'd finally be joining his siblings though made it even better. But there was the reminder - there were four different houses at Hogwarts and there was only a one in four chance he'd end up in the same house as his 'twin'. Personality wise - everyone in their family knew It was a very likely chance that Oliver would end up in a separate house.
For those that knew Oliver best, the fact that he was sorted into Ravenclaw was honestly no surprise - but for the people he soon began to get to know, it was a bit more of a puzzle. He did settle in quite nicely though and his first year was just as exciting as he had expected it to be, he loved his classes - although quickly gained a favorite in Transfiguration. And of course - he found a love in flying after his first few flying lessons, he was a natural on a broom and quickly wrote to his mothers asking for a broom of his own for his next birthday.
His second year was much like his first, pretty much uneventful except Oliver discovered a particular talent in Care of Magical Creatures, from day one he was hooked and he would find any book he could on any new creature he could learn about. He still kept up with all his classes and he still found time to fly, but other than hanging out with his brother - Oliver did not really make many friends, he was still a bit of an odd kid who kept to himself and his school work. Except when he was tagging along with his 'twin' - finding comfort in the familiar presence although he didn't speak of other things he was struggling with. It was in his next year at school that changed things for Oliver quite a bit.
After the death of the Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt - murder it was suspected. Things were shifting for a very different year, his mother was on edge, and there was a feeling in the air that this was just the beginning of what was soon to become something more.
That feeling turned out to be true as muggleborn students were ending up killed, it left a sinking feeling in Oliver's stomach - while in many ways he was a half-blood, his actual blood made him just like these other students who were being targeted. Would he become a target? Or did the way he was raised make him an exception? He was quieter than he usually was for most of the year, keeping his head down and except for a few quiet conversations with his siblings - he didn't speak of his worries to anyone else. More things kept happening and it was becoming harder and harder to pretend that things were normal, a group of students were kidnapped - from the school, and their headmaster was changed. There were too many changes going on and Oliver's grades slipped as a result.
His whole third year was rather eventful, although he was not directly involved in the events - the year certainly had shaken up things and coming home that year - the explosion at Kings Cross was the icing on top of a crazy and dangerous year.
The following Summer was a unique one, Hogwarts had been targeted the year before and his parents were worried, but Oliver and his brother would return the next year for Oliver's fourth year and his brothers Fifth - and it would be the final year at Hogwarts for their older sister but best of all - the Tri-Wizard Tournament would be being held at Hogwarts!
Despite being too young to enter, Oliver was excited for the tasks and to meet Students from other schools, he had read about each of the schools and about the Tournament as much as he could - but to be seeing it happen was something he would be lucky to experience. The Tournament went on, and classes went on - the year was turning out to be much better than the last. The students were all in good spirits and the dangers and fears from the previous year seeming to be a forgotten nightmare. For Oliver, this was the year he began to emerge more from his shell.
The year was coming to a close and exams would be coming up, the Tournament ended and the victor was announced to be from Hogwarts! The school was brimming with excitement as the other schools students and teachers were packing up to leave - goodbyes were said and promises to write and keep in touch were made. And then it was just a little after they had left, that word arrived back, tragedy had struck once again. Both the Durmstrang and Beaxbatons vehicles were hit and both schools transportation had exploded on their way back to their homes. Both students and teachers had been killed. And those that did not die - the ones that survived were now in critical condition.
The news of their visiting friends fates, shook those at Hogwarts - exams were canceled and school was finished early - the seventh years graduated, his oldest sister included, and the students were sent home. Oliver's fourth year - while it had been pretty good ended on a heart breaking note. Things were still dangerous and Oliver is wondering if he will even be able to come back for his fifth year.
