Everyone give SUZIE a round of applause, as she will be returning to staff as a Technical Moderator! We're happy to have her back with us, and excited for all the mischief she will help us get up to!

As for Ilvermorny....
Ilvermorny is out for the summer. All of it's occupants had returned homes to enjoy their break with family and friends. Except for a few. You see, during the school year the current Headmaster, Agilbert Fontaine, made a comment that some did not appreciate. Magical and No-Maj relations have always been strained, and this thoughtless comment riled up an extremist blood rights group. Chimaera's Claw had been making a name for themselves in recent years from not so peaceful demonstrations, flamboyant protests, and defacement and vandalism. This group strongly believed in total unity of the worlds and especially struggled with the persecution No-Maj born faced. Deciding that the Headmaster couldn't get away with his remark, the group broke into Ilvermorny and ransacked the entire school. (No, it didn't blow it!) The damage was severe enough though that the foundation was compromised and MACUSA refused to permit the school to reopen until everything had been thoroughly inspected and repaired. Unfortunately this could take months to do, and summer break wasn't nearly enough time for these repairs. Hearing of the news, The Ministry of Magic stepped in and offered to house their students and teachers at Hogwarts. After all, this 'great threat' that was the Puriffiers had been silent for so long, what danger was there?

It is a well known fact that Hogwarts is an extraordinarily large castle, and could house countless more students than it currently did. In generations past there could be hundreds of students in a year, so much of Hogwarts had been un-utilized in recent years. They could easily take on the students of another school without too much strain.

MACUSA, of course, agreed. Why wouldn't they? Hogwarts was taking their students, free of charge for the year!


So! What does this mean for all of us writers? A lot actually! Basically, ALL of Ilvermorny is coming to Hogwarts! Woohoo! You'll be able to make Ilvermorny students. To help, we have written up a guide on the US Magical Culture, as well as an Ilvermorny Canon list. Originals, are, of course, also accepted but the same rules apply to them as original characters (no purebloods). We also have several known names on the known wizarding family list that can be used. To add some fun and flair to it the Ilvermorny canon list has designated states (and ethnicities if they are specific names surnames).

When you want to create an Ilvermorny transfer students, you will need to include their previous Ilvermorny house, along with selecting a Hogwarts house for them.

We will also be introducing THREE new classes are Hogwarts with this influx of new students! Because obviously some teachers will be following as well! These new classes, understandably, must be taught by a transferring teacher.

So, without further adieu, you can begin to make Ilvermorny transfers starting... NOW! Because obviousyl some are going to come to the UK ahead of time to get a feel for the country! For the next TWO WEEKS (Until December 18th) ALL Ilvermorny transfer students will be post exempt as a gift to all of you for this new plot but also as a Christmas present from the staff to you!

Hey guys! Sorry, just a quick little update! We are 'trimming down' on a few rules and such, and making a small adjustment to character requests to make life simpler!

First, we no longer have a character cap! Previously the highest amount of characters you could have at one time was 20, this has been removed. Just make sure not to make more then you can handle.

The character drop wait period has been adjusted to a flat rate of one week. This was previously one week for every 5 characters you still had, with the potential of making you wait a month if you had enough characters.

We've changed the end of the character request template to now include a 'Private discussion Required' spot. Basically this spot is if you need the person taking your want ad to reach out of you privately before making the character. WE want to make sure that requesters have the opportunity to pass on all the information they need to the requestee. If you put no, people can make your want ad characters without contacting you privately! If you put yes, staff will be checking with the reguester to ensure this portion of the request was fulfilled before accepting a character.

We will be awarding 20 GALLEONS to characters that complete all of their required claims! To give you a jump start of sorts when you make a new character, and also reward you guys for filling out these claims! Basically it's easy money for all of you. Each claim now says in the title if it is REQUIRED or OPTIONAL. So if you complete all of the REQUIRED claims, you will get 20 galleons! If you don't, you won't get it. I will be going through all the claims this week to award 20 galleons to all the characters that have already completed all their required claims, so if you know that you haven't completed all of the required claims please go back and do that as soon as possible! If you do it after I'm done, you'll miss out on your chance to get the money. You will have until Sunday evening (6pm MST).

Lastly, this will be the last month to share ideas for the shop! We will be getting this up slowly but surely, and we've really appreciated all your ideas. These have all been great! We (obviously) might not use all of the ideas, but they give us an idea of what sort of things you guys are really interested in seeing.
