Fin was at the Three Broomsticks, grabbing some food before he would be meeting Jess nearby after work. This were... weird right now. Not that Jess exactly knew why, but Fin had found out that Elaine was sending her letters. Threatening ones and... Fin hadn't brought it up to Elaine yet. He didn't know how to... well, long story short he was afraid that it would end his friendship with Elaine or end his relationship with Jess, and he couldn't lose either of those, so he had pushed it aside. Real mature. He ordered his food and sat down, waiting for it to be ready. He was planning on getting it to go, but considered just eating it here as well. He was sitting at a table, rather than the bar. It only took about ten minutes before he heard the call, "order for Fin is up!"@finn finn kylie nottingham (THIS SUCKS HAHAH I'M SO SORRY. I was thinking we'd all end our first posts with the lady calling out the order and then do our reactions next XD so it's like these first three happen at the same time)

Finn was in a pretty decent mood; Rai had moved in last weekend and he had had a good date with Dominique Weasley. And a fun run in with her cousin, Lucy. Maybe he was just attracted to people with the last name Weasley, who was he to complain? He had just gotten done with a great Arrows quidditch practice and decided as a nice treat to pick up some food from the Leaky Cauldron for he and Rai to devour over several games of Exploding Snap. He had been pleasantly surprised to find out that the Cauldron did takeaway now; he supposed that with the small space it was a new avenue of revenue for the Longbottoms to cook meals to go. He had ordered them two meat pies and a variety of appetizers, as he was always hungry after a practice, or before, or during. Basically, Finn could always eat, and his cousin held similar values. He had taken a seat at the bar and ordered a pint, thinking the food would take ten or so minutes. As he predicted, ten minutes later he heard. “Order for Finn is up!” He had decided to use his middle name instead of his first name to attract less attention, and he doubted there were other Finn’s in the vicinity. finn kylie nottingham @finley

@finley & @finn The Three Broomsticks was such an intriguing little establishment they had going on. Finn had been there numerous times since she arrived, having basically been told that the food was to die for (at times), and that the rooms could actually kill her if she wasn’t careful. Since she had never intended to room there and her apartment had been ready immediately upon arrival, thankfully she hadn’t needed to test that theory out. Today, she was sitting at the bar, a book splayed out in front of her, while she waited for her sister to finish shopping in Diagon Alley. Finn liked giving Ellie independence like this, since she always wanted it as well while at home. The freedom to move around and explore the magical shopping district was wonderful with company, but even more extraordinary on your own. Ellie deserved to experience that first hand, just like Finn had.
Dealing with food and drinks being passed by her was easy at first, but as time wore on, Finn felt the hunger take over. Eventually, she had had enough of it and ordered something off the menu. She didn’t actually know what it was that she had ordered, whatever her finger had landed on without her looking was what she was going to get. All she knew was that the food would take roughly ten minutes, and that they had her name. That would make it easier, considering the uniqueness to it. On the ten minute mark, the call, "order for Fin is up!" rang out, and Finn slid off of her chair to head towards where the waiter was standing with her food. She thought it was a little weird that they didn’t serve her right at her spot at the bar, but she was flexible with it. Food was still food at the end of the day.

Fin approached the bar and got there right as two other people did. He paused, and the waiter paused, and he raised an eyebrow at the guy, then the girl, then cleared his throat. "So, uh... Finn, I'm guessing?" he asked the other two. The waiter laughed, then set the food down in front of the girl, "that one's hers, I think," they said. Fins eyes just widened and he cleared his throat again. This was... incredibly weird. He had never spoken to another person named Fin in his entire life, and now there were too of them at the Broomsticks, all ordering food at the same time? It seemed liked one of those little tricks the universe played, trying to be funny. @finn finn kylie nottingham

Finn glanced at the other two who had moved forward to get their orders and the other man confirmed his name was also Fin. The waiter then clarified that the order was for the girl and Finn’s smile widened. “Well would you look at that? What are the chances?” he asked both of them, then laughed. “To answer, yes I’m Finn. It’s actually my middle name but I went by Finn in school for ages so most people know me by that name,” he explained. There was really no rhyme or reason why Finn had decided to go by his middle name, but likely had to do with his cousin Rai. Malakai was a family name his mother had chosen, and technically Finn did go by Kai in his professional Quidditch career. He doubted he would be interacting with two very different Finn’s if he had gone with Kai for his order name. “What did you lot get for food?” he asked as a way of making conversation. finn kylie nottingham @finley

@finley & @finn Despite making her way up to her order immediately, there were two guys that also seemed to be doing the same thing. Finn tried to ignore it at first, but their timing was identical to hers, and once she arrived at the counter, the one guy seemed to ask if she was Finn. As well as the other man that had stepped up. The waiter started laughing, and it took her until the plate was set in front of her to realize that they all had the same name. The same, strange name that she had never heard anyone else have aside from herself. The odds of meeting one other Finn were probably slim to begin with, and she typically found that pets named Finn were more common than people. But three of them? Having all ordered at the same time, in the same pub? She had seen magic work in weird ways, but this was just freaky. “I would have said impossible until now,” she answered the one man, who brought up the chances of this happening, examining her plate of food as she did so. He continued on, saying that Finn was his middle name, so that made sense…but there was still the other guy with her name too. “So I’m a first name Finn. Does that make you one as well?” she said, pointing at the second guy, eyes narrowing slightly. Her unique name was about to go out the window if he was. And going by her middle name would make her sound like a certain washed up no-maj social media star. That was the last thing she needed.
And then there was her food. Of course the one time she ordered randomly was when it could become a problem. The waiter seemed sure it was hers, but now that was all coming under scrutiny in her head. “I guess this?” she responded again. “But I told them to make whatever they wanted, so if this looks like something one of you guys ordered let me know.” She decided to wait until the other two had their food as well, which would hopefully ease the guilt of possibly eating someone else’s food.

As the guy answered him, Fin nodded. "Oh, yeah, yeah. You were in Gryffindor, right? I was a few years below you," he didn't really make enough friends for his name as 'Fin' to be noticed by this Fin, though. In fact most of his friends were in Ravenclaw, with one particular Slytherin. Fin looked down at his food just to make sure he got the right one as the girl spoke, and he looked over at her, nodding. "Finley, but I go by Fin usually. So there's that," he said, a slight tone of amusement in his voice. "You guys can call me Finley instead, if you wanted," he offered. The guy asked what they ordered and the girl answered, saying that she actually didn't know. "This looks like mine. I just got the chicken with a simple side of peas and [carrots," he shrugged. "What about you, Finn?" he asked the guy, getting settled in at the bar. He didn't mind sitting there instead of heading back to a table, especially with this odd situation. @finn finn kylie nottingham

Finn studied the other male Fin in the vicinity, trying to see a spark of recognition. He did look a bit familiar, but not enough to stand out. “If you didn’t play Quidditch I probably wouldn’t have had much interaction with you,” he said plainly. It might sound snobbish, or rude, but Finn didn’t really like to mince around words. His world at Hogwarts had been eat, sleep and Quidditch, with studies sprinkled in there. When he’d made Captain, then all bets were off on where he was spending most of his free time. “Nah man, we’ll call you Fin, otherwise what’s the fun in being around people with the same name?” he added. Noting the female Finn hadn’t taken a seat yet, he slid into a barstool and patted the one next to him. “Come on now, like you said it’s not every day you meet not one, but two people with your name,” he told her with a grin. Fin then believed the food order that had just come out was his; Finn nodded that it was not his either. “Nah mate, I got a pie with a side of mash,” he explained, just as that particular order came out. His stomach grumbled as he inhaled the scent of the food in front of him. “What did you get?” he asked other Finn, who had yet to get her food. finn kylie nottingham @finley

@finley & @finn She was starting to get confused. These guys went to school together, had similar names they went by, and were still surprised about bumping into each other? That’s what it sounded like to her. Finn supposed it wasn’t all that strange if they were a few years apart from one another, and from the conversation they were currently having that seemed to be the most plausible. The one guy said that his name was actually Finley, the other cutting him off saying that it would be more fun to continue calling him Fin, just like them. This was going to get confusing really fast. Pretty soon here, she was going to be called girl Finn, or something silly like that. She made sure to nod her head as the other Finn said they would just call the one guy Fin, to make it interesting. It may have been too early still, but if this brought on a headache, she was going to need a drink.
Finn took the seat that the other Finn patted on, setting the food down on the bar counter. The other one spoke up, saying that what she had been given looked somewhat like what he had ordered, and she slid the plate down to him. “I guess I’ll take whatever gets brought over next?” Finn shrugged, looking back at the one as he asked her what she had ordered. “A mystery,” she put her hands up in the air, before dropping them back down to the counter. “So I take it that you guys are locals? Work around here, or just stopping by?” Since they were going to talk, she might as well strike up a conversation. And it wasn’t like she could escape without getting her food first.
