As this summer continued Daniel’s life in Europe slowly started to border on a gray area of both enjoying it and hating it. The sights were nice enough and being truly alone gave him time to think. To calm down and not hate this move. He disliked it still but with the Ilvermorny students now joining him it was just possible he had overacted to the move a little too much. He didn’t hate his father any less, that wasn’t going to change, but he could have taken the move better than he had. At the very least he could have given some of the students a chance. Yet for all that he still planned on going back to what he considered home as soon as school was over.
More importantly he had learned how to live on his own in a way. He was always alone at home anyway but now he just didn’t have a ghost of a father showing up occasionally. The plan was to at some point go back to his father after a week or so but that had changed. Even the letters from his father had stopped as he too must have realized this was just better for everyone. He could go where he wanted and his father didn’t have to pretend to care. As for where he was now he was wandered down Diagon alley aimlessly. For all his sight seeing he hadn’t really bothered with Diagon alley. He bought his things for school in such an angry rush he couldn’t even remember it. It had begun to get late and Daniel started debating if should head back to where he left his things or current home for that matter.
He was snapped out of his wandering by the sounds of thunder. Sure the clouds had looked a little dark but he wasn’t expecting it to be too bad. It was a good sign that it was time to head back though as he figured he had enough time. He was wrong as he wasn’t even half way there and it was pouring down rain. Now throughly soaked and annoyed at the weather he found himself in front of the slightly disguised Club Indigo. It wasn’t like he had much other choice, places everywhere were closing and he wanted out of the rain. Once inside it was all lights and loud music, it wasn’t like he didn’t expect that but he just needed a break from the rain and he’d be gone once it stopped. Finding what he would consider a quieter spot in the night club he sat at an empty booth, there was a drink here but it seemed mostly empty, whoever it belonged to was probably not coming back for it or here anyway. Daniel let out a small laugh about still being wet before thinking out loud, “This sucks.”

Club Indigo. What a weird, weird place. It was on the same street as the place Victoire was planning an attack against, only two doors down. Andy was scoping it out, just to see if there was anything suspicious there. The whole place was weird and Andy wasn't the biggest fan of crowds, so it really wasn't her scene. Still, she sat at the bar sipping a drink before she heard the thunder over the music. That was loud thunder. A few people were looking up toward the ceiling for a quick second to investigate, but most just laughed it off. Andy didn't like freaky storms. It reminded her of the times Voldemort was in power. She'd read about it, and that wasn't something easily forgotten, especially not by a Lestrange. Former, Lestrange. Her drink was nearing empty and she got up to get another. When she turned to face the booth to return someone was moving to sit there, clearly soaking wet from the trail they left. She rolled her eyes and turned to her drink, then it hit her. She knew that face. She spun around at the bar to look at the person, then her eyes narrowed. Daniel McKay. She crossed back over to her booth, raising an eyebrow high at him. "Come to finish my drink, Daniel?"@crimson1

For as much as Daniel didn’t want to be here right now it wasn’t as bad as trying to fight the storm outside. He didn’t have anything against the night club he supposed. It just wasn’t his scene, loud music and annoying people in large groups. That was something he could do without. It would have just been easier if he could apperate back to where he left his things but he wasn’t familiar with the area and didn’t want to risk it. Still it could be worse he could be stuck out in the rain with no cover at all, Daniel should be thankful he found this place at all. At least that was just a passing thought till he heard an all too familiar voice and he looked toward where it came from.
Andy was the last person he expected to see again. Yet here she was and better yet this seemed to be her booth and her drink. Possibly he would have been better off in the rain now. “Did you come to offer me another one if I did?” Daniel replied with the smallest of smirks, not because of what he said or seeing Andy again. No, it was more toward the irony of this whole situation. “I’m flattered but I’m good, thanks anyway.” With that it was just like old times already.

He asked if she came to offer him another drink if he was indeed to drink hers and she scoffed, folding her arms over her chest. He said he was flattered and thanks anyway and she scoffed again. "You really think I would be willing to serve you anything?" she said sharply, her eyes narrowing. But then she sat down across from him, reaching across the table to snatch grab her drink, slowly wrapping her fingers around it, and pulling it back toward herself. She lifted it to take a gulp, her eyes not leaving his face for a moment. Once she had downed the rest of it she set the glass down and nodded back toward the bar. "Why don't you just go get one yourself, and on your way back you can bring me a new one?" she suggested, raising an eyebrow in challenge. @crimson1

Andy scoffed at his comment about her drink and once more at if she had come to offer him something else. “Why not?” Daniel replied to Andy’s question about doing something for him at all. He wasn’t being serious but he had time to kill till the storm had passed. Still this could at least be interesting now that he thought about it. “This is your table it seems and I’m a guest at it. It’s what a good host would do at least.” Her eyes never left him while she proceeded to drink most what was in her glass. If she was trying to stare him down he wasn’t about to leave just because of that. As annoying as he knew it was Daniel wasn’t one to leave just because someone wanted him to. If anything it only made him stick around more, a terrible habit that had gotten him in trouble before but now wasn’t a time for change. Andy suggested he get his own drink before adding that he could get her another drink as while he was at it. “Well when you put it that way how ever could I refuse. What would you like?” He knew or at least assumed really that Andy was just testing him but Daniel was up for it at the moment.

Daniel asked why she wouldn't do anything for him and she just scoffed, not responding verbally. Then he spoke as to the table being 'hers' and a good host would get him a drink. Her eyebrow just raised slowly and she didn't make a comment on that part either. But then, finally, he agreed that he would indeed get up and get her another drink as well as one for himself. "Surprise me. Whatever you pick will tell me what you really think of me," she suggested. She really didn't know that much about drinks, so whatever he brought wouldn't really tell her much of anything, but he didn't have to know that. She could easily make up some sort of psychological reason for whatever drink he brought back, right? She was quick witted when she wanted to be, and clearly dealing with Daniel was one of the times when that was necessary. @crimson1

Of course Andy wouldn’t just tell him what she wanted to drink. Daniel could only imagine she wanted to make this as hard as possible with something as simple as getting her a drink. She also added that whatever he got her would tell her what Daniel thought of her. “Okay, we can do that. This will be fun.” Daniel replied in a sarcastic manner before getting up from the table. He was just playing along but if she was going to add that then how could he not find a way to have fun with it. Making his way to the bar he attempted to explain what he needed as a drink. The bartender was a little confused but made due with the request. Moments later Daniel returned with two drinks, one a simple butterbeer as he was still planning on getting out of here as soon as the rain let up. The other drink he placed in front of Andy, the fruitiest drink they had with far more tropical umbrellas than any drink could possibly need.
“Try and guess what I think about you with that.” Daniel explained with a small smirk, having ordered the most annoying drink he could. While Andy had definitely been annoying last school year she wasn't the worst offender. Still Daniel couldn't help but try and have some fun. “I’ll give you a hint on what I was thinking if you like.”

He said that it would be fun, taking her challenge of getting whatever he thought was best for her to drink. He left, and as he walked away she sighed, leaning back against the booth. What was she doing having an actual conversation with him? He reminded her so much of Jude that it made her sick while, at the same time, making her a little nostalgic for what her and the muggleborn snob had. She didn't miss the taste of cigarettes, though, not even a little bit. That could be buried with Jude. She wasn't paying attention when he came back, at first, her eyes glazed over and facing forward. But the bright colors on that drink were impossible to ignore, and her eyes settled on it with a vengeance. She felt a white hot rage start to overcome her vision for a split second. but then took a deep breath and looked up at Daniel. Oh, he was enjoying this. "Fine. What were you thinking?"@crimson1

Andy’s reaction was perfect as he could tell she was annoyed if not angry just from the look in her eyes and the deep breath that followed. Still she accepted his offer to tell her just what he was thinking when he ordered her the drink. Daniel took a second, he could be honest on why he ordered this drink particularly but where was the fun in that. And judging for her momentary expression she was already aware of why he had picked it anyway. “As you probably already guessed I just think you're such a warm and friendly person, kind of like a tropical beach. That’s why it’s all colorful and has umbrellas.” Daniel explained with a small smirk, it wasn’t like she didn’t know he was just messing with her anyway but he wasn’t going to make it too obvious himself. “We could play the same game where you get me a drink but I’d much rather live to see the next day.” Daniel laughed but didn’t feel like he was too far off at the moment.

He spoke and everything he said just made her even more annoyed. But she took the decoration out the drink and started to sip on it. Wow. it was about ten times sweeter than an alcoholic beverage should be. Warm and friendly person, lord. She did like beaches, but she wasn't going to tell hi that. He suggested them switching the game back on him and she shook her head, rolling her eyes. "That's smart of you. I don't want to give you the poison I think you deserve. Not interested in getting arrested for that," she agreed. She set the drink down, and pushed it across the table toward him, "try this. I'm pretty sure they serve it to unicorns." The fact that unicorns weren't all colorful and weird like in muggle childrens cartoons was valid, but that didn't change the sentiment. @crimson1

Daniel laughed to himself mostly as Andy agreed that if she was going to give him the poison she wanted to she would be getting arrested. “Yes and heaven knows I wouldn’t want you to be in prison. We couldn’t have our wonderful chats like this. Unless I decided to haunt you. Which as tempting as the idea might be in the moment I’ll pass on it.” Daniel explained more calmly than one should possibly when it concerning their own death. Yet Daniel was used to the thought of death, he was born of it after all and reminded of it by his father whenever he had the chance. He had decided long ago after learning how one became a ghost not to follow that path. Andy slide the drink over to him and told him to try it before suggesting what they used it for. “If I knew we were going to share I would have gotten two straws, now that would be romantic.” Daniel replied with a small smirk, knowing what he was doing. Still as long as he didn’t push things to the point she got too mad he’d be fine. Taking a sip he could see the the bartender took him serious on the sweetest drink they had. “I’d like to see the unicorns they give this too.”

He laughed, saying that he wouldn't want her to go to prison for killing him. He said he'd miss their 'wonderful' chats and she rolled her eyes. Though, him haunting her was tempting he said he would probably pass on it. "I'd rather be lonely in prison than haunted with company anyway," she agreed. "No use sticking around just to haunt me," she added. She thanked whatever power every single day that Jude didn't come back at a ghost to haunt her. She could totally see him doing that, and that would have just been awful. He suggested getting two straws, saying that was 'romantic'. She leaned back slightly aghast, her eyes narrowing at him at the use of the word. He said he'd like to see the unicorns they gave the drink to and she scoffed, "they probably live a torturous existence, much like being 'romantic' with you," she countered. Leaning back with her arms folded over her chest now. "Do you even know how to be romantic, Daniel?"@crimson1

Andy rolled her eyes as Daniel suggested that he could haunt her after she killed him with whatever poison she decided to use. Rolling her eyes was probably the expression Daniel was most used to seeing. He wouldn’t be surprised if he could always picture that in his mind even if that wasn’t the most ideal thing he would never forget in his life. “What? Are you accusing me of being terrible company?” Daniel joked for a moment knowing almost certainly what her answer would be. “Don’t get me wrong it might be fun for awhile but since you can’t change your mind on being a ghost after it got boring, it doesn’t sound as fun.” There was spite to think of, if Andy did kill him that might push him into annoying her as a ghost for all eternity. Still she’d just win another thing then as he would be stuck a ghost for all eternity.
The look on her face was a little priceless as Daniel talked of something being romantic. He couldn’t blame her, at this point he didn’t want to imagine it either but that didn’t stop him from making the remark. Daniel laughed as she made a comeback about being romantic. “The feeling is mutual.” He laughed out for a second as Andy asked if he even knew how to be romantic. “Would you like me to rush out and get you some flowers just to prove I can be romantic? I doubt you’d take my word if I said I could be.” He explained feeling that even if he gave a straight answer it wouldn’t have mattered one way or the other to Andy.

He asked if she was accusing him of being terrible company and she took a moment to nod once, leaning back a little. He said that he wouldn't be able to change his mind on being a ghost so it wouldn't be fun forever. She shook her head. "Ghosts eventually can move on. You'd get over me eventually," she said, implying that she would be his unfinished business and all that mumbo jumbo. He said the feeling was mutual, about being unromantic. She scoffed. He had no idea what her life was like. She had plenty of romantic moments, thousands... but those were all moments led by Phil, never her. Maybe once or twice but... rarely. He asked if she wanted him to rush out to get flowers to prove he could be romantic, guessing right that she wouldn't take his word. She cocked her head to the side, taking a long sip of the fruity drink before speaking again. "We could play a game. You try to prove to me that you can be romantic, and I'll try to prove to you that I can be," she took another short sip, "it's sure to be a night of disappointment, but," she raised an eyebrow in challenge. @crimson1

“You have a point but if I’m going to stick around just to haunt you I might as well see it to the very end.” Daniel teased for a moment after she agreed he would be terrible company and that he could eventual just move on as a ghost. The best bet would to just avoid being killed by her, joking and all that was still in general a good idea. Yet it was hard to gauge with someone he didn’t know too tell when Daniel might be pushing her buttons just a little too much but she was doing the same right back to him anyway.
After another drink Andy suggested they play a game and attempt to prove to the other they could be romantic. An interesting game to say the least and not where Daniel expected this night to be going, especially with how he only came out of here to get out of the rain. Andy beat him to the comment about it being a night of disappointments but he still laughed at it a little. “Well I suppose I can’t turn down a challenge. I am stuck being a Gryffindor for another year and I hear that’s a big thing with this house.” Daniel laughed slightly while he agreed to the game. At the very least it would be amusing till it was over. “Besides any excuse to look into those beautiful brown eyes of yours I’ll take it.” Daniel added with a small smirk before he spoke up again, “okay that one was a little forced besides them being pretty but I’m warming up here.” He teased for a moment, this was already just a little awkward but still amusing.
