She had just left the boutique, having stopped by to check in on Helena. She trusted the woman, believed that she knew what she was doing, but sometimes she wanted to make sure she wasn’t swamped. There was a time she stopped by, and Helena was almost in tears from stress, which had been a bit ago, and quickly Addie had stepped in to help. This time, however, it was somewhat slow, and all Adeline had to do was peek her head in before she went on her way.
That was how she found herself at the Hog’s Head, a place she could never really enter as a student at Hogwarts, but once she graduated that changed. She very rarely regulated the pub, but sometimes she did stop by for a beer or two. Like today, the moment she entered she made her way to the bar, it was slow and barely any patrons, so the moment she sat down the bartender was all her’s. She smiled brightly at him, “A beer,” she said with a nod, watching as he disappeared to grab it before placing the bottle before her. Once placed down, she snatched it up, popped the cap and took a long sip.

Uriah's shift was beginning and he found himself dreading the evening ahead of him. It wasn't anything new, but when he had a "regular" night of work ahead instead of an exciting one with perhaps some smuggling on the side, he always looked forward to it a bit more. He walked up to behind the bar and exchanged a few brief words with the previous bartender before he took over for him and began cleaning some dishes left over from earlier. His eyes scanned the bar until they landed on a blonde just a few seats away from where he was washing dishes behind the bar. He stopped the sink, dried his hands, and approached the customer. "Doing alright?" He asked, checkin in on her. It was as polite as Benjamin Uriah Fletcher could muster with anyone. Then again, he always tried to make an effort in speaking to customers in the hopes that perhaps he could gain another job on the side...

The moment the beer was placed in front of her, she took a swig of it. Her head was throbbing from an oncoming headache, and she doubts the drink would calm that. What she needed was to return home and take a nice long bubble bath with a glass of white wine and a nice book. She never really knew what to do with herself these days, having hit a slump in her fashion designs, ones that still sat destroyed in her little office in the apartment she owned in London. After she had broken up with Ryan and throwing herself into relationships, her life had kind of hit a rut. What could she do? Her best friend was madly in love with her cousin, and both of them had excellent jobs. And she kept mostly to herself unless, at work, there wasn’t much to keep her distracted these days. Maybe dating someone? But no, alas, she couldn’t stay with the same person for a lengthy bit of time. She signed, taking another swig of her drink, just as a man came up and asked her if she was alright. Pulled from her thoughts she glanced up, taking in the dark and brooding look of the male before her, and she quickly flashed a smile. “Yeah—yeah, I’m fine, thanks,” she breathed out with a small but awkward laugh as she waved her hand and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. He was either a bartender or a busser, seeing as he was behind the bar and smelled of cleaning product.
