The last few class that they had were on patronuses, dementors, kelpies, and several other dark creatures, but today was another practical lesson, granted all of them were practical to an extent but today there would be no creatures, no he was going to open it up and ask his students if there was anything in particular that they wanted to learn and or review before the test that they would be having within the following week. It was still an early morning class, and so for the seventh years he was leiniant as to when they showed up as long as it was not to late terribly late, fifteen to twenty minutes at the most is what was fine, but after that they would be lucky if he let them participate in class. Also there were several spells that he would go over if they had nothing that they wanted to learn. Walton waved his hand as he walked into the classroom and as he did so the curtains were opened and also the windows were thrown open as well. It was a nice day outside, and he had half the mind to take the class outside and have it out on the pitch, but that idea had been shot down by the old man. So as he walked towards his desk there was a note on it from someone. He picked it up and tapped it with his wand and noticed the neat hand writing of Sasha, telling him that she had decided on a place and time to talk with her sisters and asked him to be there. Of course he would be there. He incinerated the note, and began going over in his head his plans for his students today. He could hear the sound of many feet in the corridor and voices, which made it obvious that it would soon be time to start class. Walton gave a flick of his wand and all of the desks in the room disappeared including the one that he used. Not many people would like the fact that he would have them working in pairs but that is what he was going to do, and they were assigned pairs, so as to mix it up. A complete list of the pairs was posted up on the board. And now all he had to do was wait for them to all show up. List of pairs:Ronan Finnigan & Aurora Lestrange & Elaine Dupree Maryn King & Ethan Johnson Joanna Shacklebolt & James Potter Coriander Pepsi & Alice Longbottom Carcer Hagrid & Emrys Nightingale Holly Weasley & Samuel Davis Cordelia Finch-Fletchly & Elias Deveruex @ronan @crystal2 @maryn @ethanjohnson @joanna @james @corianderpepsi @alice @carcerronaldhagrid @emrys holly proserpina mcgonagall @samuel cordelia regan smith @mercy_ @kay (if your name is not on here let me know. Also i do realize that I have paired up a couple of students who hate each other, but there is a reason behind it.)

Once more Aurora woke with a start. She was soaked in sweat and her heart was racing. This time her nightmare involved her being tied up as her new friends were tortured. There was no way in predicting if it were possible to happen, but the thought upset Aurora nonetheless, she very much so lived in a different world compared to those around her.
It was way too early to be up but Aurora gave up on the possibility of sleeping. She showered, dressed and ended up in the corner of the library. She gave no extra attention to her makeup, she wore none. Nor to her hair, it was brushed out and air drying. She was back to her usual self, expect there was a different light in her eye.
Instead of reading a text book she was normally found with, Aurora held a book of poems. Her blue eyes went from one page to another until she glanced at her watch. Time for class and time to let everyone know, Aurora Lestrange was back in school.
The girl kept her head down and allowed her hair to shield her from everyone else. It was still too early to deal with anything someone could stop her with, so she avoided eye contact and hugged her book to her chest as she shoulder her bag.
First one in. Aurora looked around the room lacking furniture before her eyes travelled to the Professor. The girl smiled softly before going up to him and pulling a packet of paper. “Good morning.” She greeted him. “While I was away, my father hired a tutor. This is what he had myself cover and understand.” She handed over the packet. “It was all theoretical sadly.” After her interrogation with her father, he confiscated her wand. She didn’t get it back until the day before she returned. “I hope I didn’t miss much. I'll try to catch up quickly.” She shrugged one shoulder before going one side of the room. She put her back against the wall and slid down to the ground where she took her place. Aurora was already exhausted.

By now, Alice was much accostumed to waking up in time to head down to the Great Hall before her early classes for breakfast. It took some time to get used to the schedule, but now that it was November - plenty of time had passed so that she was used to it. It wasn't that Alice wasn't a morning person, in fact she quite liked waking up early some days... Alice just wasn't a fan of people in the morning. Actually, Alice was hardly ever a fan of people. Which was why she quietly and contently sat alone at breakfast, nibbling on her toast and marmalade.
When it came time for her first class of the day, Alice drank the remainder of her pumpkin juice and got up. As she exited the hall, she glanced around for any sign of her few friends. She didn't immediately spot any of them so she figured they all must be on their way to Defense Against the Dark Arts, so Alice began to make her way there as well.
Professor Grey was a good teacher. Alice had never spoken to him on a personal level before but as far as teachers went, she thought he was a fairly brilliant one. As Alice entered the unusually empty classroom her eyes automatically darted up to the chalkboard which read off several pairs. She scanned the list for her name to find it next to... "You have got to be kidding me," the Hufflepuff rolled her eyes before instinctively narrowing them into a glare directed at Professor Grey. She averted her eyes quickly to hide her displeasure and to glare somewhere else only for her eyes to fall upon... "Oh great!"
As if being partnered with @corianderpepsi wasn't enough, @kay was back at school.

Another class of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Joanna enjoyed the subject. Walton's classes were so thrilling and engaging. Learning new spells on the spot was always a fun challenge, and in Defense Against the Dark Arts it was almost as if Joanna were combating real danger. She loved it through and through, plus the professor who knew how to make it interesting. What more was there to say? As a Ravenclaw, she liked to learn. She was satisfied with what people usually called boring studies and readings. But it was a huge bonus when she could learn her spells manually, of course. As common as it was in the seven years she had been in Hogwarts, it never ceased to excite her.
Joanna entered the classroom in good spirits, and greeted the professor with a smile and a nod and was exceptionally pleased to see that the room had been yet again stripped of all of the desks. That meant that they were going to get down to some business. "Salutations," she greeted him. "Seriously, Professor. I'm sure you must be getting weary and bored of hearing 'good morning' all of the time, so I hope you appreciate my new way of acknowledging that you're standing in front of me at all." And with that she glanced at the others in the room. She was dismayed to see that Alice was already there, but was pleased to see her friend, Aurora. "Rory, looking beautiful as always. But really, no one asked you to be so attractive for Defense class...after all, things are expected to be rather messy by the time we're all done here."
Joanna then glanced at the board, and she raised in eyebrow. "Oh, pairings?" she murmured. She saw that she was being paired up with James Potter, and she approved of that. James was a decent bloke in her opinion. He was in the same year and house as her sister, Rosie, and a nice, pleasant, and charming fellow. She thought that it was hilarious that Alice was getting paired up with Cori, although Jo felt sorry for Cori. Anyone who had to work together with that snobby badger queen was worth sympathizing to. As for Rory...well, Ronan was a good partner to have, but she doubted that the same could be said about Elaine, the Slytherin demon lady.
Well, she'd survive. Content, Joanna walked away from the entrance of the classroom and stood next to Aurora, waiting for other students to come in for classes to start. Once she was beside Aurora, she glanced over at the other Ravenclaw and asked, "How do you feel being paired up with Ronan and Elaine? I'd say it's the same as frowning and smiling at the same time."

"See you later then sweetheart." Elias told a black haired Gryffindor after dropping her off at her Transfiguration class. Parting ways with the blushing Gryffindor, he flashed a quick smile at a group of passing girls who returned his gesture with smiles of their own. If there was one positive light Elias upheld around Hogwarts it was his reputation with the girls. He always liked being in the good books of all if not most girls in an around the school. Winking at another girl as he walked, the response which he got from her was one of irritation and disgust rather than one of joy and pleasure. Of course you couldn't please everyone...There were always people like her who pretty much hated him. His reputation with the ladies wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. If it wasn't a messy break-up with the girl it was him breaking her friends heart. In this case he had cheated on her with her best friend.
Notoriously known for his player status, Elias was really unfaithful when he wanted to be. He sometimes thought he needed a leash but he doubted a few rules or promises would hold the hungry dog inside of him at bay. At times he did feel guilty for doing what he did but whenever he tried making peace he got the magic slapped out of him. With his semi-good love life reputation came a bad one; his getting to class on time record. More than often he was late for class and he no doubt had the highest late for class streak in his year. Today was a new day and what better day was there to turn it all around. Checking the time on his wrist watch there was more than enough time to get to class on time, so walking a little bit faster he headed for Professor Grey's Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
Defence Against the Dark Arts was one of Elias' preferred classes. He truly enjoyed the atmosphere of the class. Unlike other classes it wasn't too serious and so quiet that he would had have more fun in the library, no. Weirdly so he kind of liked being in the class. The Professor wasn't too bad either. As he walked into the almost barren classroom he looked around at all the faces in the room. He saw Aurora and another Ravenclaw girl by the name of Anna if he wasn't mistaken chatting it up on one side of the room. Professor Grey, standing by his desk and being a professor... and then lastly there was Alice who was standing alone, looking rather pissed off.
"Beautiful classmates." He greeted the two Ravenclaws with a smile as he walked further into the room. "Professor." he greeted the man at the desk with a salute and small smile as he made his way over to Alice. "Alice. Why so grim love?" he said with a smirk as he reached the Hufflepuff. He knew how much his presence would just rub her her the wrong way even more and him calling her love was like adding fuel to the fire. "Who put that frown on your pretty face, sweetheart?" he asked as he looked at the board that had pairings. "Aww...We're not paired together. But we're such an awesome duo when we're together. Don't you think so, baby?" he asked Alice with a wide smile.

Defense Against the Dark Arts was Emrys' favorite class. Not because she loved learning or any of that Ravenclaw enthusiasm, but because it was vital for her to learn the defensive spells against the evil dark arts if she wanted to be a good auror in the future. Anything that strengthened her and got her closer to that goal was always important to her, no matter what form it took. In this case it took the form of a class.
The dark-haired Hufflepuff stepped into the classroom. She saw that some of her classmates had already made it, but the only one who she really knew was Alice. Emrys sent the professor a nod, and then one to Alice before moving toward the center of the classroom where they were standing at. Once she stood a bit apart from Elias and Alice, she noticed the words on the board and grimly read them. Oh, so they were going to have to partner up with an assigned classmate for whatever they were going to do...Emrys wasn't sure, but she felt relieved when she saw that it was a fellow Hufflepuff, Carcer, who she was going to work with. She would rather not work with someone who she didn't like. Her housemate was a good fellow--his Hufflepuff status pretty much spoke for him. He didn't seem to have arrived yet, but she expected that he would show up anytime soon.

Emrys was correct—two halls behind her and gaining ground rapidly owing to extremely long strides, Carcer was making his way through to the class as well. He liked Defense Against the Dark Arts. Personally, he thought he needed to learn it in a different fashion than most of the other students—not because Carcer was better by any means, but because, as a half giant, he was pretty sure he needed to learn a different form of dueling. He couldn’t duck and weave the way many of his fellow students could, and even if he was able to, he’d have to be twice as quick owing to him being that much bigger of a target. He lacked the reflexes of James and Ronan, he lacked the grace of Elaine Dupree. But Carcer had strengths to cover those weaknesses. Most spells bounced off of him—more than once in the past, he’d used his hand specifically to knock spells skyward so nobody else would get hit. And if he could get an opponent to within arm’s reach, he could send them flying twnety feet with a single backhand, could crush their wand hand with a squeeze. And while he didn’t have the reactions or agility of many of the top duelists in the school, in terms of running speed and the ability to close distance, Carcer’s only equal was his own brother. He couldn’t make use of cover, but in the open he was the most terrifying opponent imaginable.
He reached the DADA classroom and dropped his his hands, moving almost like a frog as he slipped into the room. He took note of the lack of desks, figuring this was a practical lesson—oh hello there. Paired practice, and he was on the list? He was generally left to practice with the professor, rather than the students. Interesting. “Morning, Professor,” he said, walking over to take his place among the other students. The ceiling was quite high—even at thirteen feet tall, Carcer’s head didn’t brush it, though he could reach up and press his hand to it with ease. He stood behind the other students, not wishing to obscure anyone’s view, but bent down to put his mouth close to Alice’s ear. “You must enjoy making me beg you for a smile every morning. You look like you ate a lemon at breakfast,” he whispered, prodding her cheek lightly with one finger.

Ronan was still waking up as he walked down the corridor to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. About halfway down the corridor a bucket of ice cold water cascaded over his head making Ronan stop dead in his tracks. Looking up he saw a grinning Peeves. “Thanks for waking me up Peeves. Now get out of here you damn poltergeist, before I do something that you won’t like, just like I did last time.” Ronan said in a cheeky tone, and with that Peeves saluted him and soared away. Not even bothering to dry his clothes, he would go into class wet and quite frankly he didn’t care one bit. He was wide awake now, I mean who wouldn’t be after getting a bucket full of ice cold water dumped on their head.
Entering the classroom Ronan spotted the list of names up on the chalkboard and noticed that they were going to be working in pairs. Well in his case it was a trio, he was paired with Aurora and Elaine. Well this was going to make James jealous, the fact that Ronan was paired up with Aurora instead of him. Spotting Aurora he made his way over to her. “Well it looks like we got stuck with the snake, who thinks she is better than everyone else.” Ronan said in an offhand manner. “So how have you been since the last time we talked?” He asked since he was curious as to why Aurora had been pulled out of school. He really wanted to know but for now Ronan was content to let the matter be since Aurora had just gotten back to Hogwarts.

Why did this class have to be so early in the morning? Well today that actually did not bother Maryn one bit. She was actually wide awake for once. She walked through the corridors towards her second favorite class Defense Against the Dark Arts. Maryn enjoyed the class and she also respected Professor Grey who had become like an older brother to her in a way. Especially since he was always willing to take time out of his busy schedule just to see how Maryn and her sisters were doing. She still hadn’t spoken to Sasha yet but that would have to change for she truly missed talking to her older sister. But that was for another time.
Maryn saw a puddle of water on the floor and wondered what had happened or who had gotten woken up by Peeves. Upon entering the classroom Maryn’s question was answered as she saw Ronan standing near Aurora drenched and still dripping water onto the floor. Of course it would be him, she remembered when the whole prank war between Ronan and Peeves had started, she had been caught in the middle of one of the pranks that took place during their third year. And that is actually what started their friendship. The prank had been meant for Ronan but Maryn got it and that was when she teamed up with Ronan and helped him pull some pranks on the poltergeist.
“Morning Professor.” Maryn greeted Walton with a smile before she looked at the chalkboard and was relieved to find that she was not paired with Elaine or Alice. She didn’t have anything against Alice, but she didn’t want to deal with her this early in the morning. No she was paired with Ethan, a good bloke, granted she wouldn’t have minded if she had been paired with Cori. Maryn stood off to the side wondering just what they were going to be learning today.

Defense Against the Dark Arts was a class that was pretty alright to Holly. Sometimes it got too creepy and dark for her taste, even if the spells they were learning were for their own good. But, at least it was not boring as well. Not, it was anything from broing, because they got to use their wands and learn by doing, not learn by reading, hearing, or simply watching. That was always the type of learning that caught one's attention to the fullest. But Holly was more enchanted with dragons and magical creatures, not stuff that had to do with the dark arts. That was why she wasn't all passionate about it and such.
Nonetheless, she was in a pretty decent and regular mood as she entered the classroom. "It's the season to be jolly, everyone! Cheers," was her greeting to the whole classroom. It was December and Christmas was drawing near, and she was more than happy to remind herself and the world of that. Christmas, holiday cheer, and winter was what she was pretty much born to celebrate for all the 365 days of the year. Aside from dragons, yuletide was her signature thing and most Weasleys and people who knew Holly knew that. She didn't mind if she sounded strange to others, because to her there was nothing strange about loving her her favorite season and enthusing over it. Just because she couldn't be completely mainstream and conventional didn't mean she was wrong, sheesh. And anyway, not much could change her childish and carefree spirit.
Not for the first time, the room was cleared out the desks, which meant that they were going to be doing some nifty defensive spell action. Holly stood beside Maryn and glanced at the board. Ooh, parings! She was going to work with...Samuel Baxter? She blinked, not knowing what to think. Samuel Baxter was a nice-looking boy but he was also one who seemed to be very remote and...well, shut from the sun. She would've liked a more cheerful partner, but oh well, she would be nice to him and show him that she didn't bite. And anyway, this wasn't a social mingling. They were doing work. There was no need for too much cheerfulness.
Holly glanced at Maryn, who was by her side and smiled. "Ah, Maryn, lucky you! Ethan's cute and nice," she said. But then her smile turned into a slight forwn. "Sam isn't mean...he just seems to be really emotionless."

Usually Cori didn't mind defense. I mean, it was a little annoying how much the Professor made them work together, but wouldn't you want someone beside you in a bad situation? Cori could understand that, even if she wasn't happy about the teamwork. She followed Joanna Shacklebolt into the classroom and almost said something to her on her way in, but decided against it. When Cori saw a list of pairings on the board she heard herself groan. She hated pairings. She glanced away from the list to catch Maryns eye and smiled, looking back at the list. She saw Maryns name first and-oh, she was paired with Ethan. Not that it was a bad thing for them, but that meant Cori would have to be paired with someone else. And Ronan was already taken. Soon her eyes fell upon her own name and shifted to her partner beside her. She felt her jaw dropped as she turned, eyes falling upon Alice.
Cori wasn't sure what to do next! She felt a tingle go up her spine and she glared at the Hufflepuff, only to find that Alice was staring at Aurora. Cori looked away and started walking forward, sitting quietly in the desk beside where Alice had been lingering. Don't look at her. Don't talk to her unless she talks to you first, Cori willed herself. She found herself staring intently at Professor Walton, just because he happened to be in her line of site.

Defense against the dark arts was a pretty awesome class. Ever since year one Ethan had loved it! Granted, he loved everything about classes during year one. Being a muggle born made school a lot more exciting most of the time. Why? Because every single thing was new. Every glimpse of magic that non muggle borns saw beforehand slowly ruined them to the wonder of seeing magic all at once for the first time. Ethan wished that everyone could see through his eyes every now and then. They would appreciate magic a lot more if they saw it the way he did. With wonder and excitement! Even now, at seventeen years old, he was still amazed by the things he saw and learned.
He walked into the classroom and happily looked at the board to see his name matched up with Maryn King. Maryn was awesome! He walked over to where she was standing and held up a hand for a high five, "Hey! Buddies!"he exclaimed happily. He truly was blessed not to be with Elaine. Seriously, that girl looked as though she was ready to kill him at every moment. He was sure she wouldn't actually do it but... he couldn't deny that the way she looked at him gave him the creeps. And may or may not have inspired him to take this class seriously in the first place. Ethan then glanced at Holly, who was standing beside Maryn. "Hey Hol, Sams my buddy so you better be nice," he winked. He knew that she would be nice, of course!

Walton looked around as students began to trickle in. The first student that came in was Aurora Lestrange who he gave a warm smile to as she greeted him and handed him a packet of theoretical homework. “Aurora it is indeed a good morning. I am glad that you have come back to school. And you haven’t missed to much but what you have missed you will be able to learn about it from Ronan who has graciously accepted the task of helping you catch up.” Walton said in a kind tone before he took the packet that was given to him. He watched as the girl walked over to a wall and sat down on the floor leaning up against it. Walton knew that something had happened to Aurora, which is why he had paired her with Ronan and Elaine. Ronan would be able to help get the young Ravenclaw all caught up. And well Elaine was paired up with them since Ronan was really the only one who could handle her especially in something like this. He smirked a little as Alice Longbottom came in and threw him a glare before adverting her eyes away from him. He had purposefully paired Alice and Coriander together so that they could start to get over their differences and mutual dislike towards one another. If everything went according to how Walton wanted it to go he knew that they would probably get mad at one another or something. As for what he would do about you will just have to find out. Walton glanced back down at the packet that Aurora had handed him. He was already halfway through it which would seem impossible but whoever her tutor was, he/she was good in the field of DADA. Walton was pleased with the work. When the next few students walked in Walton had already finished going over the packet that Aurora had given him. "Salutations…Seriously, Professor. I'm sure you must be getting weary and bored of hearing 'good morning' all of the time, so I hope you appreciate my new way of acknowledging that you're standing in front of me at all." Walton laughed a little at the greeting and explination that Joanna gave him. “Well someone is in good spirits today aren’t they Joanna? And yes it does get rather repetitive with all of the good mornings and usual greetings.” He said in a pleased tone that at least someone was in a good mood this morning, since he was sure that some people would not be to happy with their partners, especially by the end of this period. Next was Elias and Walton watched as the young Slytherin began to taunt Alice by trying to flirt with her. Walton wouldn’t be surprised if Alice became more angry than what she already was. The next couple of students to come in were Emrys and Carcer. He was quite positive that they would work well together and be able to push one another to do their best. As those two joined their classmates Walton walked over to Aurora with the packet that she had given him. Crouching down so that he was at eye level with girl. “Outstanding work Aurora but now let us see how well you can do the practical part of this.” He said before he handed the packet to Aurora. Walton strode over to his desk and leaned up against it once more. The next ones to come into the room were Ronan(who was soaking wet), Maryn, Holly, Coriander and Ethan. He gave a nod and smiled at the students as they came in. It was time to start class and there were some who were late to class. Well they would just have to catch up. “Good to see everyone this morning. As you have noticed you all have been assigned partners. Now those whose partners are not here yet you can pair up together and the late ones will be paired up with the exception of Elaine who will still be paired up with Ronan and Aurora.” Walton addressed the class before pulling out his wand. “Now today will be a practical lesson as I am sure that you have noticed the lack of desks. So without further ado let us begin. I have not planned anything since today we will be going over whatever it is that you would like to learn or review before the exam next week. So tell me what is it that you all would like to cover today?” Walton asked as he looked expectantly at the students assembled before him. @samuel @mercy @crystal2 cordelia regan smith @ronan @carcerronaldhagrid @ethanjohnson @maryn @kay @alice @emrys @theodorus @corianderpepsi @james @raoul @abigail @joanna (ok so i realize that there are people who are new for this thread and so i ask that as your characters come in they pair up. if there are any questions let me know via pm)

Alice was basically fuming with anger. Her arms were folded across her chest and she was breathing heavily through her nose, avoiding looking at anyone that was coming in. Alice got along with hardly anyone in her year; most knew to leave her alone. Others just didn't want to be around her. That didn't bother Alice, though. She preferred solitude. Then... there were people like Elias Devereaux.
"Why so grim, love?" The moment Alice heard the Slytherin's voice next to her, she slowly turned her head to face him, her eyes narrowed into an intense glare. Alice thought Elias to be a very vile human being and It wasn't because he was a snake. Who did he think he was, coming up to her and calling her "sweetheart" and "baby"? He was disgusting. Alice rolled her eyes at him and quickly turned in the opposite direction of him. "Drop dead, you repulsive git," she hissed at him. Then she began to make her way to the back of the rest of her classmates, but not before shooting Emrys a little nod herself. She liked Emrys, but she didn't want to be anywhere near Elias Devereaux.
Alice now stood near the back looking just as frustrated and feeling just as angry. The class was beginning to fill yet James had not yet shown. She glanced over at Aurora, just to see if James had snuck in and was over by her. He wasn't. Even Ronan was, though. Alice rolled her eyes again. Then she felt a finger prodding her cheek. She froze and her eyes widened. "You look like you ate a lemon at breakfast," came a familiar voice. Alice turned to face Carcer Hagrid, her arms still crossed but the corners of her mouth twitching into a slight smile. "Good morning to you, too," she said with a little chuckle. For a moment, Alice seemed to forget all about class and her partner and James, as she smiled up at the half giant.
Then Profeessor Grey began speaking. When he mentioned again the parnets, Alice shot a dirty glance over toward Coriander. Half hoping she would see it, half hoping she wouldn't. Why did she have to be paired with her of all people? Would Professor Grey noticed if she just started working with Carcer, instead? Alice bit her lip as Professor Grey began to address the class. Alice was never one to speak first, so she just stood there in silence and waited for someone else to say something.

He always knew the importance of the Defense against the Dark Arts. It could literally be the only reason he stuck with the Class for so long. This being because Samuel Baxter preferred classes where he worked by himself. Never being one that worked well with others, he'd always sit in the back of the class, taking notes, or doing the assignments. It could be why he preferred classes such as the History of Magic where most often partners never seemed to appear in his midst. Walking into class had tied his stomach into knots. He knew automatically they'd be doing group, or partner work today with the lack of desks. This is exactly why he stood in a back corner, observing the front of the classroom, a little twitch to his movements.
What made this even more difficult was the fact he was paired with a person he'd never really spoken to before. Her name being Holly Weasley, and he didn't know all that much about her. She wasn't a person that Samuel often found himself wondering about, not because she wasn't interesting, but mainly because she was never really in his radar. He'd had a few classes with her, but they generally found themselves on opposite sides of the room, the most he knew about the girl was her name, and house.
His face flushed a shining red as he overheard her say something about him. He was quiet, but it was far from the fact that he was emotionless. For that alone set his stomach on fire, and he despised that he'd be working with this girl now. He knew that his ticks, his bloody stammer, would be ten times worse now. He could overhear Ethan telling her to be nice to him, but he knew there was a bit of humor singing throughout his words. But, he was grateful that Ethan did tell her they were buddies, at least he had one or two of them walking around the school. Those that at least knew he was from emotionless. Samuel Baxter actually was one of the most emotional people one may ever know. However, one often wouldn't know it about him, because he kept his emotions boiling in the pits of his stomach.
He slowly walked up to where Holly was, considering she was his partner after all. “H-Hey," he stammered a bit, leaving it at that. If he hadn't been so nervous he may have said more, he may have even confronted what she had earlier said, but he didn't have the courage, so he kept it at this. His eyes looking at her for a brief moment, before glancing back up at the Professor, waiting for more instruction, waiting for people to give their ideas.
