Lily sighed happily as she made her way through the crowds around her. It was Hogsmeade weekend and she was making her way toward Honeyduke's ready to brave the throng of sugar hungry Hogwarts students fighting for a spot to grab their favorite treats. The enthusiastic redhead soon began forming a game plan in her mind with a mental list of things she would need. Sugar quills were on the top of the list seeing as she hadn't been able to stock up recently with the swarms of Aurors all over Hogsmeade making her usual midweek illegal trips impossible. Glancing around she did a quick tally of those she thought might be Aurors who were trying to blend in before rolling her eyes. It made no sense to her why they tried to stay in the background, everyone knew they were there so why waste effort blending in? Besides they did a poor job half the time with their routine sweep of the area happening almost like clockwork. Of course she might just realize this because her dad thought it was fun to teach her about his job especially since she asked a million questions as a little girl, she pretty much knew the drill of an undercover Auror.
Making her way through the crowded streets she froze as she spotted the opening of Honeydukes with students spilling out of it, apparently she wasn't the only one running low. She knew the crowd would be bad but not this bad! There were people piling up around the entrance to be able to get in! Sighing her shoulders slumped as she realized if she wanted to refill her sugar supply she'd have to wait in line with all the others. This was ridiculous! Obviously she wasn't the only one missing her mid-weekly trips this year and this was the price to pay to be safe these days. Shuffling dejectedly she made her way to the back of the group standing behind a pair of fourth years who were talking way too loud about what they were going to get once inside. Fabulous now she'd have to stand behind them for Merlin knew how long listening to them list just about every sugary treat in the place! Boredom was written all over her face as she leaned against the window waiting for enough people to exit so she and the slowly growing crowd outside could actually slip in.
As if listening to her silent thoughts a large and boisterous group came tumbling out and she managed to slip in with a few others with a smirk on her face. That was the easy part now to get to the shelves she needed and get out before she was stuck in here for hours trying to escape.
"Excuse me. Coming through. Pardon me. Just getting some sugar quills!" She called out trying to be heard above the roar as she wove between people left and right her eyes locked on her secret addiction that for some reason was housed closer to the back of the store.
