Florence stands at 5′ 5″ with a thin (almost fragile) body frame, with medium sized breast and a non-existent butt, she makes up for it for what curves she has. She has mesmerizing hazel eyes and every changing hairstyles and colors. Currently, Florence sports a chopped hairstyle, her hair hovering centemers above her shoulders, and is a bright red. Her usually hair color, the one she was born with, is a dark brown that she very rarely keeps on her person. Florence enjoys changing up her look, by either dying her hair different natural colors or cutting it or adding extensions. She has pale white skin that is usually blemish-free and paired with bright lipstick and makeup. She has her ears pierced as well as her nose, something that she did during her rebellious stages as a teenager. She does have a tattoo on her wrist of wildflowers.
Florence style usually differs from time to time, but usually, she is seen either wearing bright colors or dull ones. Usually sticking to rompers, sweaters paired with jeans or slacks, tank tops tucked into high waisted shorts, or even dresses, she almost always looks either casual or professional. She usually pairs her outfits with heels, boots, sneakers or sandals, depending on what she is wearing that day. She is usually seen wearing different rings, none of them an engagement or wedding band, different bracelets, and necklaces. Depending on her hair at the time, it's either left alone, pulled back on the side, up in a professional bun or a messy one, and sometimes she pairs it with a nice hat.

overall personality:
Florence is much like the people sorted into Ravenclaw, and if she would have attended Hogwarts, that would have been the house she dwelled in. She is quite intelligent, knowledgeable and enjoys a bit of witty banter, either from herself or someone else. But she also holds a blunt truth to herself, being quite honest with anyone and not holding anything back. Some people would be turned off by her personality, but once you get to know her, she is extremely loyal to those she calls friends or family. Florence is both witty and sarcastic, something that goes hand-and-hand in her mind. She is very determined in anything she does and won’t back down until she is either right or has done fulfilled her desire. While she isn’t the type to be a hopeless romantic, she does crave intimacy and a family. She is quite bright and bubbly, something that many people find annoying, but hey—she enjoys annoying people.
She can be someone that enjoys solitude, but she does enjoy a good conversation and a wild experience. She’s the type that doesn’t need to be drunk to be forced onto the dancefloor. She is not judgmental, instead of taking everything with a grain of salt. However, she can be quite gullible and naïve, but that doesn’t stop her from being the best person she can be. She is quite passionate about the things she is interested in, as well as passionate about staying away from the things she hates. However, Florence is extremely outgoing and semi-cautious. She craves attention, but sometimes, she just wants to be left the fuck alone – the best way to describe her is…she’s a fucking cat.

history:
Florence Ann Thorpe was born the middle child of the Thorpes, a middle-class family living in Toulouse, France. Her father, a professor of theory at the local college, and her mother, an accountant, had started their little family when they were young and produced a son. However, it wasn’t until Florence was born that their lives would change forever. She was a sweet young child, different from the woman she grew up to be, but she was a girl that was rather plain and enjoyed boyish things. She hated the boarding school she was sent to as a child, and when her letter arrived in the form of a wizard and witch at her home, she thought she was in trouble. Learning that she was a witch was the best thing that she could ever dream of, and her parents were quite shocked. Her father, having been the great-grandson of a squib, knew very little of the wizarding world but had heard stories he thought was false throughout his childhood. Thus, at the age of eleven, she packed all of her things, got all of her supplies and headed off to Beauxbatons.
Her time there was peaceful, and it was here that her rebellious stage started to show. She cut her hair in the female bathroom, dyed it a bright blue, pierced her own nose and ears, and when she came home for a holiday got a tattoo. Of course, these were in her later years of attending the school and not at all while being relatively new. By the time, she graduated from the school; she had a horde of boyfriends that she dumped, and her life started a new within the wizarding world. She was unemployed, living at home with her muggle parents and muggle older brother, who would later marry and start his own family. By the time that her younger sister started at Beauxbatons, another surprise for the Thorpe family, her brother had died in some war. Florence wasn’t extremely close to her brother, but she took the death hard and eventually moved away to London to restart her life. It was in London that she pulled herself together, and eventually got a job at Hogwarts in 2019.
Things were going well for Florence while she taught Divination there, she enjoyed reading the tea leaves and crystal balls. While she wasn’t a seer, she did get odd feelings when looking into tea leaves and such, especially when her mind was thinking about Hogwarts. It was during her third-year teaching Divination that the murders started, and her fourth year there when the Tournaments began. Now, entering her fifth year of teaching, Ilvermorny transfers had made their presence known within the Hogwarts school, and it was rather lovely to hear a new accent within the halls of Hogwarts. She remembered when she started teaching all she heard was British, and ever since her French accent had slowly melted and blended with a British one.
It was within the new school year that she had gotten a letter from her sister, urging her sister to allow her to come live with her in London after she graduated. Having not been home since her brother’s death, she and her sister’s loving relationship had been affected. Hell, she hadn’t spoken to her parents much since she left either, other than a few emails here and there. But Florence is looking to the future, looking for a brighter tomorrow and feels that dwelling in her past will fuck things up.
site events reaction:
Florence was teaching at Hogwarts at the time of the attacks on Muggleborns started and was affected by the deaths of many beloved students that she both had taught, were teaching, or would never get the chance to teach. She was still there when the Triwizard Tournament came to Hogwarts and grew rather fearful as time passed. She felt like something was going to happen, especially because of her constant readings within her mug during class. And when the carriage and ship were attacked and the students killed, Florence was affected the most. While she didn't know the students of Beaubaton personally, she had attend that school and mourned them, she was also slightly relieved that her sister had not been within the carriage and lost her life.
Now, with the new school upon them, Florence is worried about the Ilvermorny transfers and this school year, but she'll take each day at a time. She was upset to learn about Ilvermorny and the fact that an entire historical school was destroyed, but with each passing day it seems the transfers are blending in nicely with the rest of the student body. Florence is just worried their transfer brings plans for a bigger attack, worse that the one that killed almost all of the students of the visiting schools the previous year.
