Andy had heard once that there was more than one way that someone could die to us. There was actually death of the body, sure. There was something letting you down, yes. There was someone moving away, of course.Jan. 4th, 2025
But how do you kill someone without really killing them?
Okay, she didn't want him dead, but she wanted him dead to her.
She had failed at their deal. Their new arrangement.
She was confused, angry and hurt. Even if it was partly her idea.
But saying something would be... humiliating and...
She stood up quickly from her desk at the Windsor apartment. She needed to get out, needed to shake this off. She thought about going to Jamie - but that didn't feel right. She thought about going to Vik, but that felt worse.
Neither of them could give her what she needed, and she didn't want them to.
She didn't want their blood on her hands, and she knew that was where this night was going.
She left, but not before pausing in the doorway to the sitting room because a light was on. She poked her head in, seeing Will sitting by the fire, reading something.
He looked up before she could slip away, "going out at 2 in the morning?"
Andy shrugged, leaning against the door frame and folding her arms, "I do it all the time, why do you care?"
Will shook his head, "don't. Just be careful. You know, with prison breaks and all that." Andy scoffed, turning away from him.
That was all her fault, and Vic... well Vic had made it pretty clear that no one would know that. But still.
"Goodnight, Will. Don't let those love poems keep you up," she joked, turning on her heel and leaving to the sound of his chuckle.
It was cold outside, which she liked. She hadn't grabbed a jacket. She had her violin case, of course, and her wand.
And an envelope.
She clutched her wand tightly, Vik running through her mind. She smiled down at it. It reminded her of him now because of how they had met.
She felt bad, guilty. He had no idea what he was getting into.
But, yet again, neither did she.
She reached up to touch her lips with a free hand, thinking about the last time he'd kiss them and wanting to kiss him again. She shook her head, she had to stop thinking about Vik if she wanted him to live through the night.
She could already feel it starting - like black sludge running through her veins. It made everything move more slowly, but more confidently.
She turned the corner and apparated.
Now she was standing outside the building they had destroyed, which turned out to be a fake tip. Thankfully no one innocent or otherwise had been inside. She smiled at it, her head slowly tilting to one side. She closed her eyes, letting the black sludge reach her heart, and her eyes shot open.
The rest of the night was a blur then, but the blood still stained her clothes. She found this weeks victims in an underground ring of illegal activity - non magical. It was a lot easier to get away with murder when it wasn't in the magical community. Plus, it was always a thrill to see the terror in her victims eyes when a magical violin started playing music right before assisting in their deaths.
This was the largest killing yet, four people at once. She lit fire to the room of the underground warehouse, then tossed her envelope into the flames.
As she looked around the bright room, her eyebrow slowly rose. "What would I do without you?"
