Alohomora’s Inaugural Valentines’ Challenge
Ah, February. The perfect time to celebrate love in all its many forms. Platonic, familiar, yes even romantic love. To help celebrate, the staff at Alohomora have decided to throw together a special challenge to help us all develop our characters relationships! There will be prizes, thread completions and interpersonal character development - what more could you want?
RULES:
1. For your threads to count, you must already have an established relationship with the character. This means NO threads with chance encounters will count. The exceptions are as follows: a. Blishwick Blind Date threads and b. Past threads with an established relationship already set in the present via want ad or present thread.
2. Threads, both uncompleted and completed, must be submitted via this post by the end of the day Thursday, February 28th to claim a reward. These must be completed between February 14th and February 28th. If you do not submit the threads, they will not be counted. There will be threads that both of you submit (obviously) - but both need to submit the threads to be counted. To reiterate, to get any petals or flowers you must submit the threads yourself.
3. Rapid fire posts will NOT be counted. To simplify, we will only count ONE post per hour, regardless of how many there actually are in the thread. Relationships take time, so should you!
4. Trio posts with more than one character per member WILL be allowed, however the member with the multiple characters involved will only be allowed to submit the thread for ONE character (not both), so choose wisely!

PRIZES:
+You will receive petals for every non-completed thread you turn in depending on the posts you have made in this thread.
+Every three posts counts for ONE petal, and every five petals is one flower.
+All completed threads, regardless of length, will be rewarded with a FULL flower! Note that due to the rapid fire rule, unfinished threads will not count the rapid fire posts however fully completed posts WILL.

What do these flowers convert to you ask? Why, cold hard cash of course! Each completed flower is worth 50 Galleons to the character you played in the thread.
But wait, what about if we get five or more flowers? I’m so glad you asked! Anyone turning in enough threads to obtain five or more flowers will receive a special prize: you may redeem your five flowers for ANY prize in the shop, as long as the original guidelines for the magical creatures are followed (sorry sixth years, no phoenixes for you yet)

GRAND PRIZE:
Aside from Gilderoy Lockhart’s Valentines’ Masquerade of course. We will be rewarding two (2) people with a grand prize will get a non-custom ability added to the character of their choice WITHOUT having to do a one shot first, and will be exempt from the current limitations imposed on certain abilities (within reason, and not negating the lore of the abilities). Be wise with your choice; the staff is monitoring the use (or lack thereof) of special abilities among characters, and will be reaching out if we feel that you haven’t been utilizing this ability.
How do you win it? Be the one with one of the following:
1) Most completed threads
2) Most characters used in different threads, therefore developing the most relationships
