(Originally posted in the Fall 2024 Witch Weekly) WITCH WEEKLY Ionna Mesley
QUIDDITCH NEWS Quidditch season has begun once again, and sparks sure are flying! After the first few matches, the scores thus far are:
Fitchburg Finches vs Holyhead Harpies 290 - 90 Despite the Harpies making a strong opening and taking the lead early on the Finches made an overwhelming comeback and scored 14 times in a row before finally catching the Snitch and ending the game.
Appleby Arrows vs Wimbourne Wasps 380 - 230 Known for their intense rivalry the Arrows and Wasps were evenly matched for almost five hours of play, the longest game of the season thus far. The first set of alternates were brought in only a few minutes before the Arrows seeker, managed to catch the Snitch.
Puddlemere United vs Yorkshire 190 - 200 To anyone that watched this game they would have bet on Puddlemere United. Yorkshire was being overwhelmed by their opponted, thwarted at every opportunity. By a stroke of genius the Yorkshire Seeker managed to feint the rival Seeker and snatch the Snitch, narrowly ensuring Yorkshire’s victory.
Falmouth Falcons vs Chudley Cannons 240 - 190 Another game that took a turn. The Falcons’ put up a good offense at the start and quickly took the lead. Rallied by their captain though, the Cannons soon turned things around and began to make their comeback, holding the Falcons’ offense off. The seekers were having a battle of their own as the Cannons’ Seeker prevented the Falcons’ from catching the snitch a total of four times! It wasn’t until a bludger took out the Cannons’ seeker that the Falcon’s finally caught the snitch and ended the match.
*The Professional Quidditch team matchups, scores, and Snitch captures are completely randomized with absolutely no favoritism towards teams with played characters.

(Originally posted in the Winter 2024 Witch Weekly) Witch Weekly ISSUE 4: December 21, 2024 quidditch news
The Quidditch season is heating up here, and the it could be anyone's season!
Appleby Arrows vs Holyhead Harpies 200 - 190 It comes as no surprise, with some robust trades made earlier this year, brilliantly coordinated by Gamp. Seeker Milen is aerodynamic as a hawk, especially in that tricky catch last month against the Harpies, bringing the team to a narrow win. The Harpies seem to be the team used to coming in second as they suffer their second loss.
Wimbourne Wasps vs Fitchburg Finches 360 - 20 The Wimbourne Wasps appear to be the dark horse of this season, coming out with a staggering 360-20 win over newcomers, Fitchburg Finches. Those Americans will have to get used to a bit more challenging play if they want to keep up, not to mention that spectacular snitch catch by Wasps seeker Hutton.
Chudley Cannons vs Yorkshire 10 - 310 And, coming as no surprise to anyone, the Cannons are likely to come out bottom of the league this year after yet another disheartening loss to the Yorkshire where the chasers scored a team record breaking 16 goals. Better luck next year!
Falmouth Falcons vs Puddlemere United 0 - 150 If there has ever been two teams more evenly matched, we sure haven’t seen it. After sixty minutes neither team had managed to score until the Puddlemere’s seeker miraculously caught the snitch.

DAILY PROPHET JAN 5 2025Ionna Mesley THIRD MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS The results of the Quidditch Season’s third matches are in, and boy have things changed! Early league favorites, Appleby Arrows and Wimbourne Wasps, suffered devastating losses, and lost their dominance of the season to Yorkshire and FItchburg Finches. Meanwhile last years Quidditch league winners, Falmouth Falcons, are steadily increasing the point gap between them and their competitors but in the wrong direction. Someone needs to remind this team that Quidditch isn’t muggle golf before they completely bury themselves and their chances of ever making a comeback.
Puddlemere United vs Wimbourne Wasps Jan 2 2025 40(+150) - 10 The match was close, with Puddlemere only barely taking the lead. The Wasps seeker was right on the Snitches tail when a well aimed bludger knocked them off their broom, giving Puddlemere’s seeker the perfect opening to catch the Snitch and end the game.
Chudley Cannons vs Holyhead Harpies Dec 27 2024 240(+150) - 260 The Harpies have been trying to secure a victory all season, and it looked like they were going to finally get that elusive win when out of nowhere the Cannons swooped in, catching the snitch and taking the win. Better luck next time, Harpies!
Yorkshire vs Appleby Arrows Jan 4 2025 290(+150) - 40 Man, the Arrows went down hard. Yorkshire had been considered an average joe of the season, winning their previous matches but maintaining their position in the middle of the pack. Maybe the Arrows’ fame was going to their head, or maybe Yorkshire was keeping a few tricks up their sleeve. But Yorkshire completely destroyed the Arrows and many wonder if the Arrows will be able to recover from such a devastating loss?
Falmouth Falcons vs Fitchburg Finches Dec 28 2024 180 - 250(+150) The two birds of the league, and the Finches have proven to be superior to the Falcons. The Falcons put up a good fight, taking an early lead in the match but they lost their thunder, giving way for the Finches to make a fast and furious comeback. Once the Finches found their groove there was no stopping them and the Falcons didn’t stand a chance. If the Falcons don’t shape up fast they’ll be on their way to become the next one hit wonder of Quidditch.
Current Point leaderboard: Yorkshire - 950 Fitchburg Finches - 710 Appleby Arrows - 620 Wimbourne Wasp - 600 Chudley Cannons - 590 Holyhead Harpies - 540 Puddlemere United - 530 Falmouth Falcons - 420

DAILY PROPHET Jan 20 2025Ionna Mesley FOURTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS The results of the Quidditch Season’s fourth matches are in, and the season has now past the halfway point. There was a big shake up in the point board, but to no surprise Yorkshire continues to lead the pack. Despite having a poor season thus far the Falmouth Falcons had their biggest win this round but many spectacular the team’s comeback is too late.
Yorkshire vs Wimbourne Wasps Jan 11 2025 140 - 70(+150) Everyone thought Yorkshire had it in the bag after scoring two points for every one they missed. The Yorkshire seeker was even the first to spot the snitch and give chase. But, after a foul that caused a timeout Yorkshire lost sight of the snitch. Seconds after the time out, the snitch was spotted right by the Wasps’ seeker and they ended the match.
Holyhead Harpies vs Puddlemere United Jan 16 2025 50(+150) - 110 Both Puddlemere and the Harpies have had a rough season, so neither team could afford to lose this match. While the Harpies managed to snag their first win by catching the snitch first. Unfortunately this match only secured their positions as last and second to last in the season. Maybe next round will go better.
Appleby Arrows vs Falmouth Falcons Jan 14 2025 120 - 280(+150) To the surprise of many, the Falcons came in like a storm and showed no mercy on the Arrows. After knocking out the Arrows’ seeker with a well aimed bludger the Falcon’s took their sweet time scoring point after point and securing a strong lead. Only after scoring more than double their opponents the Falcon’s Seeker caught the snitch.
Fitchburg Finches vs Chudley Cannons Jan 12 2025 170 - 200(+150) These two teams may have started the season poorly but they’ve been working their way up the ranks and slowly taking out their competition. So, this match had become one of the most anticipated of the season to finally see who would leave victorious. And boy, they didn’t disappoint! It was one of the most heated matches, and the match broke the current season record for longest match, taking 6 hours and 23 minutes.
Current Point leaderboard: Yorkshire - 1090 Chudley Cannons - 940 Fitchburg Finches - 880 Falmouth Falcons - 850 Wimbourne Wasp - 820 Appleby Arrows - 740 Holyhead Harpies - 740 Puddlemere United - 640

DAILY PROPHET FEB 7 2025Ionna Mesley FIFTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS The results of the Quidditch Season’s fifth match are in! Only a few more matches left in the season, so it's crunch time!
Fitchburg Finches vs Appleby Arrows Feb 1 2025 230 - 90(+150) The Arrows have not been doing well this season, that’s for sure! And this match really showed it. They barely managed to to scrape this win after a foul on the Finches gave their seeker enough time to locate and catch the snitch. Even with the snitch capture the Arrows only won by a mere ten points!
Holyhead Harpies vs Wimbourne Wasps Feb 4 2025 50 - 180(+150) The Harpies have been trying to prove this season that wins don’t mean anything on the leader board, as they’ve managed to stay out of last place in the league despite having the most loses. But, this week proved to be a devastating blow when the Wasps wiped the field with them and managed to snag the snitch. With the Harpies be able to survive with a 280 point loss like this?
Puddlemere United vs Chudley Cannons Feb 6 2025 100(+150) - 100 This was the match of the season as one of the current favorites to win, Chudley Cannons, faced the current last place team, Puddlemere United. Despite their vastly different rankings Puddlemere United proved they wouldn’t go down without a fight and managed to give the Cannons their most challenging match. Things were all tied up when, to everyone’s amazement, the Pufflemere United seeker caught the snitch and secure their victory!
Yorkshire vs Falmouth Falcons Jan 31 2025 100 - 290(+150) Another beating of a match, Yorkshire really fell hard. They had a good start, scoring plenty of points out of the gate but as the match when on the Falcons quickly caught up and passed them in points. Maybe you shouldn’t push so hard at the beginning, Yorkshire! After Yorkshire lost their steam it was child’s play for the Falcons to rack up a good number of points before ending the game in a snitch snatch.
Current Point leaderboard: Falmouth Falcons - 1290 Yorkshire - 1190 Wimbourne Wasp - 1150 Fitchburg Finches - 1110 Chudley Cannons - 1040 Appleby Arrows - 980 Puddlemere United - 980 Holyhead Harpies - 790

DAILY PROPHET March 1, 2025Ionna Mesley SIXTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS The results of the Quidditch Season’s sixth matches are in, and the greatest shake up of the season has officially happened! While some holes have been dug even deeper, a former fading star flared with a new spark and set the leaderboard aflame. Appleby Arrows, a team that in terms of wins has done quite well this season but poorly in terms of points went from the back of the back to second place. Meanwhile, The Holyhead Harpies have been having their worst season in history. While they secured a win this round they are securely in last place. With only one more round of matches left in the seasons will we see another shake up, or have the results of this season already been determined?
Puddlemere United vs Appleby Arrows Feb 18 2025 60 - 220(+150) The Appleby Arrows have been performing all season, but lacking the points to really be a contender for the finals… until now. After knocking both the Puddlemere United keeper and seeker off their brooms the Arrows were able to secure 22 goals before finally deciding to end the match.
Falmouth Falcons vs Holyhead Harpies Feb 20 2025 40 - 10(+150) The Holyhead Harpies really have been struggling, and it showed even in this match. In the first ten minutes the Falcons had already secured four goals, and the Harpies only one. Some say it was but sheer luck that the Harpies seeker managed to catch the snitch so quickly.
Chudley Cannons vs Wimbourne Wasps Feb 22 2025 130 - 30(+150) This match really looked like it was going another way with the Chudley Cannons’ domination on the field. The Wasps were really struggling to try and score anything, but they managed to catch the snitch just in time. While they secured the win for the match it almost went another way.
Yorkshire vs Fitchburg Finches Feb 28 2025 120(+150) - 50 Oh boy, if you want a nerve wracking match, this was definitely one for the record! While Yorkshire was securing the scoreboard the Finches’ seeker almost caught the snitch right out from under them! If it wasn’t for a well aimed bludger the Finches would have stolen the match.
Current Point Leaderboard: Yorkshire - 1460 4 win/2 loss Appleby Arrows - 1350 4 win/2 loss Falmouth Falcons - 1330 3 win/ 3 loss Wimbourne Wasp - 1330 4 win/ 2 loss Chudley Cannons - 1170 2 win/ 4 loss Fitchburg Finches - 1160 2 win/ 4 loss Puddlemere United - 1040 3 win/ 3 loss Holyhead Harpies - 950 2 win/ 4 loss

DAILY PROPHET March 20, 2025Ionna Mesley SEVENTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS Well, here we are. The final matches of the season are done, and we have our top two teams that will compete in the season championship! But first, the results.
Chudley Cannons vs Appleby Arrows March 7 2025 250 - 30(+150) Well, after such a great comeback in round six, the Arrows fell flat when it really counted, and lost their chance to compete in the championship game. The Cannons just overwhelmed the Arrows, and despite catching the snitch, it wasn’t enough for the Arrows to secure a win.
Fitchburg Finches vs Puddlemere United March 8 2025 50 - 220(+150) Another one sided demotion, the Finches really couldn’t stand a chance against Puddlemere United. To add even more insult they caught the snitch and won by over 300 points. Tough loss, Finches.
Falmouth Falcons vs Wimbourne Wasps March 14 2025 60(+150) - 250 Seeing a trend? It seems all the teams were fighting for their lives, trying to secure all the last minute points they could. The Wasps were absolutely dominating the field, so much so that even whe nthe Falcons caught the snitch it wasn’t enough.
Yorkshire vs Holyhead Harpies March 15 2025 290 - 150(+150) At least the Harpies put up a fight this time? But it’s all too little, too late. But hey! Securing 150 points and the snitch at least gets them out of last place for the season.
Final Point Leaderboard: Yorkshire - 1750 4 win/3 loss Wimbourne Wasp - 1580 5 win/ 2 loss Falmouth Falcons - 1540 3 win/ 4 loss Appleby Arrows - 1530 4 win/3 loss Chudley Cannons - 1420 3 win/ 4 loss Puddlemere United - 1410 4 win/ 3 loss Holyhead Harpies - 1250 3 win/ 4 loss Fitchburg Finches - 1210 2 win/ 5 loss
And so, the championship match will be between Yorkshire and Wimbourne Wasps! This will be the final match of the 2024-2025 professional season. For all you other teams, maybe next season! But for Yorkshire and Wimbourne Wasps, who will come out victorious and claim the title of champions? We can say, the Wasps have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to catch up, and beat Yorkshire to claim the championship title.
The championship match will be held June 10, 2025.

DAILY PROPHET May 31, 2025Ionna Mesley 2024-2025 CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH OPEN TO PUBLIC The championship match between Yorkshire and WImbourne Wasps is approaching quickly. As these elite quidditch teams prepare for the fight of their life it is during troubling times. With the emergence of Hag’s Fever the Isles have been in magical quarantine for over two weeks with no signs of change.
So, the Magical Games and Sports department at the Ministry and the Quidditch League officials have come together to offer a glimmer of hope during this dark time. The championship match this year will be free to the public. During this quarantine many witches and wizards have been forced to find temporary housing and accomodations, unable to return to their home countries, including hundreds of Ilvermorney students that were housed at Hogwarts this past school year. “We hope that by opening this event to everyone, regardless of their means and income, will offer some comfort during these difficult times,” said one Ministry official when asked about the upcoming match. One of the Quidditch league officials personally delivered the news to Poppulis Donum Orphanage, which is currently housing any Ilvermorney students with no other accommodations during the quarantine. The official had this to say: “For many of these kids it’ll be their first professional Quidditch match. They are far from their family right now, so we should do what we can to make them feel welcome and keep spirits high.”
The match will be held June 10, 2025 outside Wimborne Minster. It will begin at 12:00pm.

DAILY PROPHET Nov 3 2025Grey Slater FIRST MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS Week One, Game One: Appleby Arrows vs Kenmare Kestrels Friday PM - October 24th, 2025 70-270 An early lead by Kenmare dictated the pace of the entirety of the match of the 2025-2026 season. Arrows beaters, M. Jones and D. Weasley, launched a flurry of bludgers in the direction of the Kestrels’ chasers but never managed to make their mark, giving the opposing seeker ample time to find the snitch. Kenmare opening the season in strong shape compared to previous years could mean an actual competitive run this season. They haven’t looked this good in at least three decades, according to their manager.
Week One, Game Two: Ballycastle Bats vs Montrose Magpies Saturday AM – October 25th, 2025 60-250 Much like the Arrows the night before, Ballycastle was stiff out on the pitch and suffered from it. M. McLaggen, Ballycastle keeper, allowed in ten goals before the Bats were finally put out of their misery by a Montrose snitch catch.
Week One, Game Three: Banchory Bangers vs Pride Of Portree Saturday PM – October 25th, 2025 180-270 Rounding out the first weekend of matches was an astounding offensive display by both Banchory and Portree. A three hour ordeal, both teams were gassed from their superb defensive capabilities by the time the snitch was finally spotted by the Pride. Despite a six goal lead, the Bangers were unable to eke out a win in their first match of the season.
Week One, Game Four: Yorkshire vs Falmouth Falcons Friday PM – October 31st, 2025 80-330 2025’s All Hallows’ Eve match turned into a nightmare for Yorkshire, who were unfortunate to go up against a Falcons team rearing to start the season. With a blistering eighteen goals scored before finally grabbing the snitch, the Falcons flew with a fervor that could only be explained if they had been dipping their hands into the candy jar all day. If they can keep that up all season, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Week One, Game Five: Caerphilly Catapults vs Puddlemere United Saturday AM – November 1st, 2025 170-120 Puddlemere has opened the season with an absolute heartbreaker of a match. A dominating offensive game and key bludger whacks from rookie beater, Savtaj MacMillian, even had the spectators convinced that this match was as good as over, leading to most of the crowd leaving early. Unfortunately for the United, the veteran Catapults seeker had kept her eye on the prize the whole match, and snatched victory right out from under them.
Week One, Game Six: Utshill Tornados vs Chudley Cannons Saturday PM – November 1st, 2025 230-140 A fairly even match for the most part, it ended in a bit of a snooze fest as an unpredicted storm rolled in, reducing visibility and offensive capabilities to nothing. If it hadn’t been for the snitch literally being blown into the hands of the Tornados seeker, this match had the looks of being a long night for players and fans alike.
Week One, Game Seven: Holyhead Harpies vs Wimbourne Wasps Sunday PM – November 2nd, 2025 340-100 The recovering Wimbourne team was routed easily by the Harpies onslaught, allowing almost twice as many goals as their opponents. There was a glimmer of hope for the Wasps as their seeker, L. Hutton, barrel-rolled through the Holyhead offense in chase of the snitch. Unfortunately a couple of well-timed bludgers bought just enough room for Holyhead’s own seeker to grab the snitch and lead the Harpies to their first victory of the season. Despite this, Hutton has received the Play of the Week for his spectacular display of broom control and athleticism.
Current Point Leaderboard: APPLEBY ARROWS: 70 BALLYCASTLE BATS: 60 BANCHORY BANGERS: 180 CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS: 170 CHUDLEY CANNONS: 140 FALMOUTH FALCONS: 330 HOLYHEAD HARPIES: 340 KENMARE KESTRELS: 270 MONTROSE MAGPIES: 250 PRIDE OF PORTREE: 270 PUDDLEMERE UNITED: 120 UTSHILL TORNADOS: 230 WIMBOURNE WASPS: 100 YORKSHIRE: 80

DAILY PROPHET Nov 10 2025Grey Slater SECOND MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS Ballycastle Bats (1-1) vs Appleby Arrows (0-2) Thursday PM – November 6th, 2025 290-130 The Arrows earn a second loss to start the season, coming up against a Ballycastle team that is struggling as well. The defense for both teams was almost non-existent, with E. Krum and M. McLaggen looking like they forgot how to play over the post-season, a trend that they both carried over from their season openers. Luckily the Bats were a little sharper in the snitch department, and ended the match with a win.
Kenmare Kestrels (1-1) vs Banchory Bangers (1-1) Friday PM – November 7th, 2025 160-190 Banchory came out strong offensively again this week, adding another eighteen goals for their chasers on top of their nineteen from last week. In terms of defensive capabilities, they completely shut down the Kestrels, only allowing a resounding one goal. Allowing Kenmare to catch the snitch and end the match looked like a scripted play by Banchory, though only allowed them a narrow win at 160-190.
Montrose Magpies (2-0) vs Caerphilly Catapults (1-1) Friday PM – November 7th, 2025 240-200 Despite the drastic swing in scored points during the match, Montrose came out again and is proving to be the top team of the league in only their second appearance. It looks like they’re purposely allowing their rookie seeker enough time to get them some game experience, because they made it look too easy when it came time to catch the snitch. The Catapults were dealt a tough loss, but as an experienced team, they should have put the gas on a little earlier in the match to get to the snitch first.
Chudley Cannons (1-1) vs Pride of Portree (1-1) Saturday AM – November 8th, 2025 190-100 Both the Cannons and Portree are looking to be fairly equal in ability, so we can definitely expect to see a battle between the two of them near the end of the season when it comes to playoffs. This week, however, the Cannons pulled ahead with a key snitch catch following a flurry of goals from the Pride’s chaser squad.
Falmouth Falcons (1-1) vs Puddlemere United (1-1) Saturday PM – November 8th, 2025 110-300 Following Falmouth’s victory last week on Halloween, the Falcons had their wings clipped by a voracious Puddlemere team. The United’s S. Macmillan managed a devastating blow against Falmouth’s seeker, D. Bainbridge, leading to a nasty scuffle between the teams. With Bainbridge out for the remainder of the match, Puddlemere had an easy path to the snitch and the win.
Utshill Tornados vs Holyhead Harpies Sunday AM – November 9th, 2025 220-90 Despite the loss, both Utshill and the Harpies are looking about even across the board, and we expect this trend to continue throughout the season. They had to come up against each other eventually, and early in the season is the best time for a tough loss for a Harpies team that intends to make it to the Championship match this year.
Yorkshire (1-1) vs Wimbourne Wasps (0-2) Sunday PM – November 9th, 2025 210-180 Fan favorite Wimbourne continues their season with a second loss, though it’s becoming abundantly clear that they aren’t lacking in as many areas as they seemed to be last week. L. Hutton came up short again this week with the snitch, seemingly a magnet for bludgers this season as Yorkshire’s beaters tried to put holes in him throughout the match. Maybe third time is the charm? For catching the snitch, that is.

DAILY PROPHET Nov 17 2025Grey Slater THIRD MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS Appleby Arrows (0-3) vs Banchory Bangers (2-1) Thursday PM – November 13th, 2025 70-210 The Arrows had a sliver of hope during their third match of the season, leading by one goal before a lucky early snitch catch by Banchory in the first forty minutes of play. This loss extends Appleby’s win drought by another week, though they can hardly be blamed for this one.
Caerphilly Catapults (2-1) vs Ballycastle Bats (1-2) Friday PM – November 14th, 2025 200-100 Evenly matched teams, it looked like Ballycastle had an early lead in the goals department, finally displaying their offense which has seemed like it’s been asleep at times this season. A neck and neck race for the snitch began once the Bats pulled away, though ultimately the Catapults catapulted themselves to victory.
Chudley Cannons (2-1) vs Kenmare Kestrels (1-2) Friday PM – November 14th, 2025 310-20 An absolute beat down by the Cannons’ Chaser squad, scoring sixteen unanswered goals after Kenmare started off with an early two. The Kestrels completely fell apart after that run, and they were given a second loss at the hands of Chudley.
Falmouth Falcons (2-1) vs Montrose Magpies (2-1) Saturday AM – November 15th, 2025 250-70 Falmouth has finally delivered a loss to Montrose, though some would say that was overdue with a fairly strong middle of the pack season they seem to be putting on so far. Despite being on opposite ends of the leaderboards now, these teams are fairly evenly matched. The Falcons were lucky to get D. Bainbridge back in the Keeper slot after his early exit the previous week, and that made all the difference in holding off the Magpies just long enough for a Falmouth win.
Pride of Portree (1-2) vs Holyhead Harpies (2-1) Saturday PM – November 15th, 2025 180-220 Defense? Who needs that when you have one of the fastest Seekers in the league? The Harpies put on a flying clinic in that department, looking like they didn’t care that they were getting shelled offensively by their opponents. A few more goals and this could have been had an interesting outcome for the offensive powerhouse Pride, who really need to get their Seeker out on that snitch a little faster if they want to really show their prowess throughout the rest of this season.
Puddlemere United (2-1) vs Wimbourne Wasps (0-3) Sunday AM – November 16th, 2025 340-100 Puddlemere has completely cast aside their season opener upset and has continued their dominance through the third week, dealing yet another loss to Wimbourne, who seem to be struggling in their own right. There was some hope the week prior for the Wasps, but that didn’t matter against the United, who are now leading the league in points scored and are rightfully sitting at the top of the league.
Utshill Tornados (2-1) vs Yorkshire (2-1) Sunday PM – November 16th, 2025 140-350 Easily the best match of the week, Yorkshire snapped a resilient Utshill’s win streak in a four hour match for the ages. Defensively both teams came out with their A-game, and only in the reason Yorkshire had more goals was late match injury of the Tornados Keeper. Ultimately that didn’t mean much as Yorkshire caught the snitch a few minutes later, but it was still the highlight match of the season so far.

DAILY PROPHET Nov 24 2025Ionna Mesley FOURTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS Appleby Arrows vs Caerphilly Catapults 30 - 170 The Appleby Arrows and the Caerphilly Catapults played a close match, helped by the efforts of Appleby Keeper Edrik Krum. If only the Arrows' Chasers had been capable of catching the Snitch, then perhaps it would have given them a chance! Caerphilly, on the other hand, caught the Snitch without a problem, sealing their win.
Chudley Cannons vs Banchory Bangers 310 - 80 Even before the Cannons caught the Snitch, it was clear that the Banchory Bangers didn't stand a chance. Have their players become more fond of bangs and smells than a real Quidditch match? The Cannons' Beaters were in fine form, and the Bangers should consider themselves lucky not to have lost a player.
Falmouth Falcons vs Ballycastle Bats 200 - 60 Falmouth's captain might have had a foul-mouthed tirade against Ballycastle that caused a stoppage in play, but Ballycastle's frequent attempts at Cobbing outshone the work of Keeper Mickey McLaggen and gave Falmouth a deserved victory.
Kenmare Kestrels vs Holyhead Harpies 340 - 200 Merlin, what a match! The Kestrels and the Harpies have shown us what a real Quidditch match should look like. If the fans weren't using Amplifying Charms, employers can expect to have a few absences whilst their voices recover. Both teams are doing well this season, but will it be enough to get them to the championships?
Montrose Magpies vs Wimbourne Wasps 50 - 160 This wasn't the best match we've seen from either team, but we're glad to see that the tormented Wimbourne Wasps have secured another win. There is some speculation, however, that Montrose might have had better luck catching the Snitch with an actual magpie for a Seeker…
Yorkshire vs Pride of Portree 110 - 230 Yorkshire's Chasers played a clean match against Portree, but this was truly another case of Seeker versus Seeker. The Pride of Portree have shown that they are, indeed, the pride of Portree with a win over one of last season's top teams.
Puddlemere United vs Tutshill Tornados 350 - 160 Puddlemere United have been one of the most popular teams in the league, and this match showed the full extent of their talent. Out of all the players, Puddlemere Beater Sav Macmillan showed his strength, sending more than one Bludger towards the Tornados with textbook timing.
APPLEBY ARROWS: 300 BALLYCASTLE BATS: 510 BANCHORY BANGERS: 660 CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS: 740 CHUDLEY CANNONS: 950 FALMOUTH FALCONS: 890 HOLYHEAD HARPIES: 850 KENMARE KESTRELS: 790 MONTROSE MAGPIES: 610 PRIDE OF PORTREE: 780 PUDDLEMERE UNITED: 1110 TUTSHILL TORNADOS: 750 WIMBOURNE WASPS: 540 YORKSHIRE: 750

DAILY PROPHET December 1 2025Grey Slater FIFTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS APPLEBY ARROWS vs CHUDLEY CANNONS 320 - 90 The Appleby Arrow, despite a rather rough start to the season appear to be on the top of their game this match. Despite letting through nine goals from the Chudley Cannons they managed to score a whopping 17 goals of their own before their seeker managed to catch the snitch. Now we can only hope for sake of their fans that this was not a one time thing and they manage to keep the momentum of this match through the rest of the season!
CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS vs FALMOUTH FALCONS 10 - 300 We can only assume that the Falmouth Falcons felt sorry for the poor Caephilly Catapults as they got catapulted with a lot of goals against them. With a total of fifteen goals against the measley one goal in return we can only imagine the relief the fans of the Caephilly Catapults must have felt as the opposing party finally caught the snitch and ended the humiliation of this week for them.
BANCHORY BANGERS vs HOLYHEAD HARPIES 120 - 180 The Holyhead Harpies were defnitively not on top of their game this match, despite managing to score a victory. Their chasers might as well have been practising using blindfolds because their aim was nowhere to be found. Luckily for them the seeker managed to catch the snitch before the situation became too impossible to fix. All credits for that victory go the seeker, while we extend our compliments to the chasers of the Banchory Bangers, as they delivered a fantastic performance in scoring a total of twelve goals!
BALLYCASTLE BATS vs WIMBOURNE WASPS 170 - 70 While hardly an exciting game, the Wasps did a decent job in managing to score seven goals, before their seeker lost out bigtime in what could only be described as an utterly humiliating downfall. The match, which lasted only half an hour in total, reach a most boring conclusion as te distracted Wasps seeker completely failed to notice their opponent chasing and ultimately catching the snitch. One of the teammates even had to fly up to them to let them know the game had ended! We hope the seeker of the Wasps will be doing better in the rest of the season.
YORKSHIRE vs KENMARE KESTRELS 110 - 200 This exciting match saw a well played battle between two teams playing relatively good! While it must be noted taht the Kestrels didn't score much their formidable beaters certainly kept Yorkshire busy, although that didn't prevent them from scoring. Despite a fair number of fauls on ends of both teams the game was a delight to watch for all supporters and a general feel of satisfied disappointment coloured the end of the game when the Kestrals managed to catch the snitch.
TUTSHILL TORNADOS vs MONTROSE MAGPIES 120 - 60 The Tornado's versus the Magpies was a whirlwind of a game, that much is certain. It was a neck and neck race all the way until the snitch was caught with just a minor advantage for the Tornadoes in points. Despite the fact not many goals were scored both keepers performed excellently, stopping at least twice as many goals as they let through, making for a highly energetic match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats down to the very last second!
PUDDLEMERE UNITED vs PRIDE OF PORTREE 190 - 200 What an utter disaster for Puddlemere united. It's truly the only way to describe it. The seeker seemed utterly desperate as Pride of Portree managed to get a ridiculous head start early in the game when the keeper of Puddlemere united was temporarily disabled. While they later managed to catch up a tiny little bit the damage had already been done. While the seeker must have been aiming for a tie in his final showdown against the seeker of Pride of Portree it fell to utter devastation as Portree scored a mere seconds before the seeker got his hands on the snitch, saving Puddlemere from complete humiliation, although we're sure the seeker feels this blow most keenly, as winning the snitch eventually lost his team the match.
Current Point Leaderboard: APPLEBY ARROWS: 620 BALLYCASTLE BATS: 680 BANCHORY BANGERS: 780 CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS: 750 CHUDLEY CANNONS: 1040 FALMOUTH FALCONS: 1190 HOLYHEAD HARPIES: 1030 KENMARE KESTRELS: 990 MONTROSE MAGPIES: 670 PRIDE OF PORTREE: 980 PUDDLEMERE UNITED: 1300 TUTSHILL TORNADOS: 870 WIMBOURNE WASPS: 610 YORKSHIRE: 860

DAILY PROPHET December 8 2025Ionna Mesley SIXTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS APPLEBY ARROWS vs FALMOUTH FALCONS 280 - 80 The Arrows turned around a few weeks of bad luck with a thrilling win over the Falcons. Chaser Roberts scored a record 10 goals throughout the match, with the seeker swiping the snitch before the Falcons had any hope of catching up.
CHUDLEY CANNONS vs HOLYHEAD HARPIES 440 - 40 It was a rough week for the Harpies, who seemed incapable of holding onto the quaffle for more than about three seconds. The cannons played a spectacular game with the chasers telepathically communicating their plays to one another. They finished off a gorgeous game by catching the snitch in under an hour.
CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS vs WIMBOURNE WASPS 250 - 160 What a match! The Wasps and the Catapults traded off goals like polite ladies sharing scones for tea. The Wasps started pulling ahead after an hour of play scoring three goals in a row. However it was not meant to be as Catapults seeker Bletchley caught the snitch, ending the game.
YORKSHIRE vs BANCHORY BANGERS 230 - 70 Yorkshire and the Bangers had a long game this week. We had forty minutes of play without a single goal scored. Slowly, slowly the Bangers started to take the lead with chaser Volkov scoring 5 goals for his team. Unfortunately for the Bangers, the Yorkshire beater Kerry hit a clean bludger, breaking his scoring streak and scrambling his mind. Yorkshire managed a comeback and caught the snitch after two frozen hours on the pitch. Final score: 230 to 70 Yorkshire.
BALLYCASTLE BATS vs TUTSHILL TORNADOS 160 - 40 The Bats and the Tornados haven’t been having the best seasons thus far. However, playing each other meant that someone’s luck was going to be on the up. Unfortunately, after a goalless first hour, fans even started leaving the pitch. The Tornadoes keeper played an excellent game, only giving up one goal. However, the Bats seeker O’Keefe managed to catch the snitch, securing the win.
KENMARE KESTRELS vs PUDDLEMERE UNITED 80 - 180 The Kestrels showed up with a strong team this week, their defense almost impenetrable. Puddlemere allowed in 7 goals before they really started playing ball, ending the match with seeker Young snatching the snitch right from under the Kestrels seekers nose. A disappointing outcome for a well put together team.
MONTROSE MAGPIES vs PRIDE OF PORTREE 180 - 280 It was a tough match for both teams, with multiple penalties from each side. From cobbing to chasers off sides to a spectacular Wronski feint from the Magpies, the match itself was a nail biter. That diversionary tactic from the Magpies seeker was unfortunately not enough to win them the match, as seeker Hill from Portree caught the snitch and ended the match on a high.
APPLEBY ARROWS: 900 BALLYCASTLE BATS: 840 BANCHORY BANGERS: 850 CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS: 1000 CHUDLEY CANNONS: 1480 FALMOUTH FALCONS: 1270 HOLYHEAD HARPIES: 1070 KENMARE KESTRELS: 1070 MONTROSE MAGPIES: 850 PRIDE OF PORTREE: 1260 PUDDLEMERE UNITED: 1480 TUTSHILL TORNADOS: 910 WIMBOURNE WASPS: 770 YORKSHIRE: 1090
