SEVENTH MATCH QUIDDITCH RESULTS
APPLEBY ARROWS vs HOLYHEAD HARPIES
310 - 170
The Arrows and Harpies were head to head in this match fraught with rain and immense wind. The Harpies, notorious for their ability to drop the Quaffle rather than pass it, managed to score seventeen goals past the typically impervious defense of the Keeper Edrik Krum. Seemingly heading for a loss after the previous week’s win over the Falcons, Arrows seeker Dickson caught the Snitch after a dramatic dive toward the ground—ending the match.
WIMBOURNE WASPS vs FALMOUTH FALCONS
80 - 330
Not the Wasps best showing this season as Seeker Hutton persistently fails again in his pursuit of the Snitch. The Falcons seeker Dustin Bainbridge displayed a better handle on his broomstick as Wasp Beaters Smith and Mays failed to knock him off his broom.
YORKSHIRE vs CHUDLEY CANNONS
190 - 230
While the Cannons had a rough start as Keeper Miller seemed to forget she was in the middle of a match letting in a record eleven goals in twenty-six minutes. The Cannons Chaser squad also put on a fledging display. Perhaps if a certain Keeper and Chaser would not have been making eyes at one another, Yorkshire Beater Kerry might have not landed a perfect bludger and taken out the Cannon’s Chaser entirely from the match. Unfortunately for Yorkshire, the Cannon’s managed the catch the Snitch before more damage could be done.
CAERPHILLY CATAPULTS vs TUTSHILL TORNADOS
110 - 280
In a turnaround from their last match, the Tornados managed to secure a win, although the turnout was low and rightfully so as neither the Catapults nor the Tornados managed to score a goal in the first two hours of the match. The Tornados secured the win in this uninspired match after Catapults Seeker Bletchley appeared to doze off on his broom.
PUDDLEMERE UNITED vs BANCHORY BANGERS
200 - 250
Puddlemere put on a strong showing as rookie beater Macmillan continued to impress with his sniper-level attacks toward the Bangers Chaser. If only Puddlemere Seeker Young had the same astute observational ability, the match finished with a bang as both Seeker’s collided near Puddlemeres goal posts, but Bangers Seeker Shepard caught the Snitch.
PRIDE OF PORTREE vs BALLYCASTLE BATS
340-120
Mclaggen appeared asleep on his broomstick as Pride managed to toss the Quaffle past him thirteen times in the first hour. That isn’t to say that Pride’s Keeper wasn’t asleep himself. The match finished before the second hour as Pride Seeker Hill continued his streak and caught the Snitch yet again.
KENMARE KESTRELS vs MONTROSE MAGPIES
160 – 240
The Kestrels and Magpies put on an impressive match this week. Hopefully, none of the Chasers on either side were opting to compete for Witch Weekly’s “Most Charming Smile Award” as they each took a bludger to two in the face as this match left everybody wondering who would come out with the win. The Kestrels Chasers proved more resilient with their sixteen goals, but the Magpies Seeker brilliantly dodged two bludgers to catch the Snitch for the win.
