timing: January 2025, Northern Sweden
Lilith was far from pleased with her current assignment. The goblins had gotten wind of a little known tomb in the far north of Sweden, called Tomb of the Eternal Night. And there was reason to believe that the tomb could only be accessed during the polar night, which led Lilith and her partner to the rumoured location in the endlessly dark far north. There was hardly any sort of accommodation either, leading Lilith to bring along a magically enhanced tent that she had procured some time ago. Thankfully, she wasn't a muggle so she wouldn't freeze to death. But there was something utterly depressing about the idea that the sun would never rise on the pair.
Erecting her tent took moments. The outside was unassuming, the inside resembling a small flat with three beds. Lilith stood in the kitchen part of the tent, preparing a pot of tea. She'd arrived early, keen to be well prepared for this mission as she always was. Lilith had a tendency to try too hard and overdo things, especially when it came to her passion for runes and her secret sense of adventure. She thought back fondly of her previous mission with the girl, Irina, who had shown immense promise. She had been an efficient young thing, not jaded by time or the lure of gold.
A shrill whistle brought Lilith back to the present as the kettle boiled. She poured herself a mug of tea and thought about pouring one for Wesley. Chortling to herself, she replaced the kettle on the stove without doing so. She'd never hear the end of it if she did something somewhat nice to him. Her partner wasn't like that. As Lilith's thoughts turned to Wesley, she realised he ought to be here by now. She checked her watch and rolled her eyes. She didn't like being late.
tag: @wesley ooc: we could say this is their first real assignment together, after meeting in London and having vague knowledge of one another?

I'VE BEEN DANCING ON TOP OF CARS AND STUMBLING OUT OF BARS I FOLLOW YOU THROUGH THE DARK, CAN'T GET ENOUGH
Learning that the goblin's had gotten wind of a tomb in Sweden had perked his interest, especially when they stated that it could only be accessed at a specific time. He was interested, and he wanted the assignment. Luckily, it seemed that he and his partner had already been picked. This was his first real assignment with his partner, Lilith, with whom he had met before and had gotten to know a little when they were paired together. They weren't close, not that they would ever be, but she was an attractive young witch. On the plus side, she was a pureblood so they would get along just fine.
Wesley took his time getting to the location of the tomb and had found a tent built up and the sound of a teapot screaming from within. Slowly he tugged his bookbag up his shoulder, it had fallen during his apparition over to the location and slowly pushed open the tent to enter. "Fudge reporting for duty, ma'am!" he said, saluting the woman that was inside, who he noticed checking her watch. He wasn't late, but he wasn't exactly early - he was on time, perfect. @lilith || sorry for taking forever <3

Hands clasped around the warm mug of tea, Lilith thought of her partner Wesley. He ought to be here by now. She didn't appreciate tardiness, though it could be argued that with such a remote location the apparition could go awry. Lilith didn't know much of Wesley, just that he was slightly younger than her and a somewhat likeminded individual. She didn't know how accomplished he was as a curse breaker, but she did know that he had to be quite good if he were to be partnered with her. Lilith thought herself a sort of legend within Gringotts. The most senior female curse breaker was not some mean feat.
Lilith took a sip of her tea and hissed as it burned her tongue. She placed the mug back on the counter just was Wesley entered the tent. She rolled her eyes at his greeting. "You don't call a young unmarried woman ma'am," was all she replied. Was she being too harsh? Maybe a bit. "Glad you found the place. Now we can get started with planning," she said, strolling purposefully over to the tiny kitchen table where some bits of parchment were scattered across a half furled up map.
Lilith pointed at a spot on the map. "So this is where the goblins think the entrance is. But see this bit of the map, it says bergsfälla, which means mountain trap. It just seems a bit dodgy, you know? I think the entrance is more likely to be over here," said Lilith. She dragged her finger a few inches to the left, indicating a point a mile away from bergsfälla. "What do you think? We have to consider this quickly, as you know we have limited time."

When Wesley first left Hogwarts after graduation, he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life. For a few weeks, he was unemployed and knew that he needed to find something to do. That was when he turned to become a curse-breaker, a job that a friend had mentioned would be a good fit for him. Thus, he started training and now was officially paired with a partner, the legend within Gringotts. He was surprised by his luck; he got someone good and pretty.
He had entered the tent just as she hissed over the tea, probably burning her pretty little tongue on the hot liquid. He rolled his eyes and let a soft chuckle out, "Should I call you sir then?" he joked, but knew that he surely would piss her off.
He moved closer as she moved towards the kitchen table, pointing to the map and began speaking about planning. He frowned, watching her finger moving towards a different point. "What if they want us to believe that the entrance is over there instead of the spot that is marked as such? Either way, both ways could be a trap, and the actual entrance could be over here," he said, pointing to another spot on the map. He knew it was a stretch, but they had a limited window and couldn't be fucking up. @lilith
