Andy was moving in with Vik in two hours. She stood there, in her empty room at the Windsor Apartments. She'd miss going to work with Susan everyday and making jokes with Will. Lusie was a nice presence the short time Andy saw her around, and Edmund was... Well she didn't really have an opinion about him. Still, she'd miss this family. Andy had recently developed the knowledge that family has nothing to do with blood, and Will and Susan were hers. Still, sh had agreed to do this and wasn't going to back down.
She wanted this, didn't she?
She decided to take a walk to clear her head before heading to Viks place. It was early in the morning and not very many people were out. In fact, she decided to take some of the back alleys between buildings that she normally roamed at night. She felt her blood getting itchy, as if she needed go running or stretch or something. Really, she knew deep down which muscles needed stretching.
As if by fate, the next corner she turned there was a man in raggedy clothes who looked her up and down as she started to pass. Then a low wolf whistle let out from his lips, "coming back from a gig, lovely? Got energy for a little sympathy throw?" Andy stopped in her tracks, right in front of the man and her hand whipped out from her side to clutch his neck. He was so surprised he didn't react right away. She turned to look at him, pressing him hard against the wall. "Anything else you'd like to say?" she loosened her grip so he could respond, but instead he spat at her and lifted a foot to stomp on hers. She turned a cheek at the spitting and side stepped the attempted foot stomping.
Up until now she had only killed people who truly deserved it. Did this poor man deserve to die just for being a little crass? He smelled of alcohol and missed showers. He probably didn't even know what he was saying.
Still, she lifted her free hand and punched him in the stomach her hand on his throat moved to cover his mouth. She didn't have her violin on her, which made her frown. She'd have to get creative.
Ten minutes later she was leaving the alley, breathing heavily. She slammed her back against the wall and looked down at her watch. "Sh*t," she muttered. She looked down at the hair pin in her hand with blood staining the copper. She dropped it, and apparated.
The circle of life. One life ends another begins, right?
