The room was dark, but that didn't matter. Addilyn knew how her hands moved, how her wand responded, and how the pieces of her invention fit together. In her trance, she didn't even realize that the torches weren't lit. She didn't need them. Her hair was matted with sweat, her skin shining with the beads. Her hands moved quickly, her wand occasionally joining in with quick edit or swish. Finally, she set the wand aside and lifted the object up. It was the size of a large broach, made of Pewter and Iron. The shapes was of snakes twisting together in an orb, one had a flower sprouting out of it's mouth. She pulled it closer to her face, as if she could see it. The flower bloomed a little more and a small black, gassy substance puffed out from the end. She leaned away quickly, not wanting to be effected by the powder.
Then she set it down and she left. Within the hour if anyone returned the object would be gone, taken by the people it was designed for.She stopped in the hallway, choking on her breath. She stumbled, back slamming against the wall to support her from collapsing. She let out a small sob, her hand reaching up to cover her mouth. She quickly pulled her hands away and looked them over. They were covered in something black. What was it? Where was she? She recognized the stone. Down in the dungeons. Maybe not even far from her common room. She pushed off the wall, but her legs were weak. She fell, knees hitting the ground and hands landing in front of her for support. "Not again, not again..."(Relevant to Elaine Lyra Dupree)
