Year 4 and 5 were two very important years at Hogwarts. Willow remembered. Oh how she remembered! She had almost pulled all of her hair out being a student in those years, because of the loads of homework that kept on piling up. But there was of course a reason for this madness. OWLs were right around the corner for fifth years, and fourth years were not going to lack in their studies, since it will be them next year. Willow treated each year differently despite them being put in the same classroom. She made sure to test her fifth years much more often than her fourth years, and she usually directed a question personally to each student, to make sure that she or he can answer it himself and not get interrupted by a goodie goodie with an eager to earn house points - there was nothing worse than a teacher's pet.
Today they will be reading each other's palms – something Willow fancied doing a lot. It connected people, and it gave the seer a peek into the other's destiny. She often found herself using that skill to flirt with guys... Sadly it was not often she succeeded... Most of the time she ended up talking about death and illness and a possible test ahead. Willow was honest – very honest. And if she saw something in a person's palm, she would not keep quiet about it.
A gentle music was playing in the room as the witch sang along the lyrics coming out from an old magical radio. She twirled around as she walked towards the blackboard and scribbled down ”palm reading” with a heart over the ”i”. Then she turned around and faced the door, smiling at herself and clapping her hands – excited to see the students enter soon.

Divination was a class he was very biased towards. First of all, the subject of being able to foresee the future was extremely interesting, but on the other hand also extremely easy to trick. Everyone could be a seer as long as they were good at reading other people. There were so many clairvoyants in the muggle world who were utterly fake and pretty much huge money machines stealing from spiritual people looking for guidance from higher powers. Raj had no idea whether or not to believe the professor, since her wild personality clashed with his calm one. He did not know if it was a façade in order to hide a corrupted mind, or if she indeed was a seer. All in all, she was new and he was curious.
Raj enjoyed the long and hard walk up the stairs to the divination tower. His muscles ached and his breath was short and rapid. But nonetheless he smiled each time he passed by a window and got a peek at the view from above. An old backpack was hanging over his right shoulder and felt heavier by each step he took, since it was stuffed with school books. But the boy did not care about it the slightest. All he did was to tug the string over the left shoulder as well to make the weight equal all across his back and continued the few remaining steps upstairs.
He entered the classroom and smiled at the professor. Raj's deep dark eyes fell upon the blackboard as he took a seat on one of the pillows and could not help smiling at the heart above the ”i” in the word ”reading”. So apparently today they were going to read each other's palms. He glanced around to see who would be his partner, but suddenly noticed that he was the first one to arrive. Awkwardly he sat and tried to avoid any eye contact with the professor. Feeling an uncomfortable atmosphere spreading in the room, since he did not know if it was expected of him to have a small talk with her, now that it was only the two of them in the class so far.

Gwen passed a suit of armor quickly. Then slowed immediately afterward. The girl was deathly afraid of the light-blue color of the steel and could always be seen approaching slowly and darting past suits of armor quickly. She had her wand out in one hand, as she always would since the murders while walking the corridors alone. Her other hand clutched at the strap of her bag. Which was the only strap that was across her shoulder. She usually preferred not to carry her back over a single shoulder; preferring the use of both to keep her from developing bad posture but she had been in a hurry. Her school robes were tight fitting, obviously a few sizes too small but she preferred the feel of a tight or heavy robe to lose-fit.
She began to skip cheerfully for Divination was a good class. While not exactly her favorite subject, Gwen found it quite a bit easier to handle than the others. That and it wasn't very difficult to impress the Professors who taught it. Honestly, she probably should have hated the class but she actually enjoyed the brief respite from excruciatingly difficult work. She did, of course, consider Divination a monstrous insult to academic thought. But whenever she felt the urge to pass off the class as drivel, she remembered the story surrounding the downfall of Tom Marvolo Riddle jr. Said to be the strongest Dark Wizard who had ever lived. Should he had succeeded, Gwen wouldn't be skipping happily along the corridor; she'd probably be dead or never have lived at all. So she held a deep respect and likewise a fear of the subject of Divination.
She ascended the steps to the classroom and entered as noiselessly as possible. Gwen placed her wand away in her pocket as she spotted the Professor, finally able to drop her guard with a Hogwarts staff member present to protect her. Gwen grinned widely at the Professor and bowed. "Good day, Professor Huckleberry." Gwen turned and looked for a place to sit. She spotted an older student who was a fellow Muggleborn. Gwen grinned widely again and ran over to sit with him. "Do you mind if I sit with you?" She asked quietly so as not to disturb the Professor. She did not wait for Rajesh to answer however and began to extract the work completed from previous classes out onto the table in front of her. She didn't bother peeking at the board, Gwen was more concerned with conversing with a fellow Muggleborn student. "Are you going to the Quidditch game this weekend?" She asked, looking at Rajesh with fervorous excitement though once again as quietly as her greeting was.
