Thought you guys were safe from some mayhem? Think again! In all seriousness, as you guys know we are always trying to create an immersive and ever expanding universe for you guys, and trying to provide you guys with the absolute best roleplay experience possible. Your experiences and love of Alohomora is what really drives the staff here to push themselves to be better. So, to begin I want to thank all of you for being wonderful members and supporters of Alohomora. The site wouldn’t survive without each and every one of you.

At Alohomora we are always striving to create new and unique opportunities for our members. So, we are opening up character types that have previously not been on Alohomora! By character types I am referring to non-Wizardkind. Below are the two character types we have added!

**To avoid any potential confusion the staff asks that any questions about any of these character types be sent to Admin Sora (via pm or discord). This is to prevent any chance of different staff members being asked the same question and accidentally giving different answers.**

Muggles/No-majs
Yes, we are permitting them on Alohomora. The Character creation rules have been adjusted to include them. It is quite new for us to be permitting complete non-magical beings. So for now we will be requiring that muggles/no-majs have a magical relative or connection (partner/child/sibling/cousin/etc) to be created. There are many locations on the site that are magical and the only reason non-magical individuals would be there is if they had some kind of connection to the magical world. When you are making muggles/no-majs please keep in mind that there are some locations that they can’t go even with magical connection (Such as Hogwarts because the anti-muggle enchantments actually make it impossible for them to even see the school.).

Second Salemers/Witch Hunters - Galleon shop purchase
Second Salemers, or Witch Hunters! You can see all the information about them HERE. The staff wanted to create something truly original that also offers a very unique roleplay experience to those interested! Witch Hunters operate similar to Squibs, in the sense that they don’t possess any magical abilities of their own but they can interact with the magical world in ways that muggles/no-majs can’t. To add to their uniqueness, they are able to use, and do possess, magical items from their magical ancestors.

Because of their uniqueness and similarities to Squibs, Witch Hunters can be purchased in the Galleon shop for 50 Galleons! There is no limit to how many you can have!

NEW CREATION/ACTIVITY RULES

Hey guys! So a few rule adjustments! They have all been added to the rules already, but here they are just real quick!

1)You can only have 1 app up at a time (finished, or WIP).
2)Previously accepted characters need to reach 10 IC posts before a member can post a new app (finished or WIP)
3)When you drop a character (s) you will have to wait 5 days for each character dropped (with a maximum of 30 days) before posting a new app (finished or WIP)
4)If during board cleanup (happens the beginning of each OOC month) we notice 5 or more dead threads due to a single member, that member will need to wait 2 weeks to post an app (finished or WIP)

These rules won't affect applications that were finished before 2pm Eastern time yesterday.

WIP applications posted before this announcement: These applications will receive a reduced IC post requirement. They will be reviewed (once finished) when the member has 5 IC posts on their other characters.

These rules officially go into effect now!
