-March 2025- London. What a bleak and boring place. Summer lay on the roof of the building they were staying at, right where the tip of the roof slanted to the other side. It was a peculiar place to balance oneself, and not easy to do so. She lifted a follow high above her head, elbow straight, her fingers twisting the flower around in a circle. She sighed, tilting her head to one side. "Flower bright. Flower dead. Ripped from Earth, from home. Gruesome death, torn at at roots. Masochists." She cocked her head to one side and brought the flower down toward her face. She examined it, the tip of a petal touching her nose. "No blood?" she questioned. She heard a sound from the window below. Turned to look. Simon was probably getting ready to chastise her for climbing on the roof. Or maybe he'd join her? Or maybe they'd killed him to find her up there. @simontroy

Simon was out for just a little bit getting a few things. Summer would be fine for a little bit he reassured himself but he never was confident with that statement. With multiple groups chasing them it wasn’t with out cause for him to be worried by just not being around his sister. They both wanted her and to a lesser extent him. This was a new muggle place they were staying so even if someone was on their tail it would be a little while before they found them here as Simon made his return trip. As far Summer's old school was concerned they just wanted Summer and he could naff off. The witch hunters on the other hand would enjoy catching both of them but mostly his sister he was sure. It wasn’t a fun situation but at least they had made it back to London relatively quietly.
Opening the door to the room he had expected to see Summer but didn’t. He worried for a second as a mild panic took over till he was rational about the situation. He knew what his sister was like now, she wasn’t going to go quietly anywhere she didn’t want to, he could say that from experience. The room was more or less how he left it so she either left the room or... with that he paused his searching and sighed for a moment. Having roughly an idea of where she was. Walking toward the window he poked his head out. It wasn’t hard to get to the room. It was part of the reason he choice this place incase they had to run fast. Yet it also meant Summer could be up there and she was already curious about it before he left.
“You’re up there aren’t you?” Simon asked loud enough for her to hear if indeed she was up there. His tone more or less gave away that he figured she was but still had to ask. He didn’t give her much time to answer back before starting to climb out the window and onto the roof. He wasn’t weak but climbing and balancing weren’t Simon's strong suits. That was more his sister's department even before everything that happened. As he got up he saw Summer just laying in the roof. Once up he got his balance and sat at a safe point of the roof, a place he didn’t have to worry about falling off at. “Do you know how dirty it probably is up here?” Simon asked almost in a nagging tone like a parent would, realizing it he made a silent laugh to himself. “It is a nice view I guess.”

"Aren't I?" she responded softly, too quiet for him to hear her as she climbed. She looked away from his direction as he made his way to her, staying flat on her back at the point of the roof. He settled in somewhere else, speaking of dirt, and he leaned her head back to look at him, her view of him upside down. "Dirt grows flowers," she challenged, holding the flower out to him. He would have to leave his safe spot if he wanted to take it. "Nice. Simon thinks it's nice. Simon's nice," she said, her tone sing songy and breathy. She looked away from him when she said it, back up to the sky. "Inside boring. Ugly. Small," she pouted. @simontroy

Simon smiled softly for a moment after sitting down as Summer made a comment about how the dirt grew flowers. After which she held out the flower she had toward him for Simon to take. He was happy where he was but at the same time he couldn’t just leave his sister holding out a flower. With a wobble getting back up he inched closer and took the flower. “Yes, they grow in the dirt but not on your clothes which it is probably all over now.” Simon explained now less comfortable than where he was but still attempting to sit near his sister. Summer sang in a way for a moment playing with his words about the view being nice also calling him nice. When he first found his sister it took him sometime to figure out what she was saying sometimes but he was used to it now. “I’m glad you think so.” He replied with a smile as he looked back toward the view summer did the same as she commented about the room. It wasn’t that big that was for sure but it was safer to him than being on the roof of a building. “Yes but it’s safer than falling to the ground, you might be amazing at it but I’ve always been clumsy when it came to balance.”

Simon left his safe space and Summer smiled, a tiny smirk. He took the flower and she looked up at him, tilting her head back so he was upside in her vision. He said that dirt grew flowers but not on her clothes. Simon, always pristine. Nice. Pretty. She shook her head, not responding to that. He was glad she thought he was nice, he said. He smiled. She smiled back, reaching her hand up to attempt touching the corner of his lips. "Smile. Good smile," she muttered. Simon didn't smile enough on their journey across countries. He smiled more in London. He said it was safer inside than falling to the ground, calling himself clumsy. She giggled, "you are clumsy!" She proved her own graceful-ness by swiftly sitting up, swinging her legs around, so she was sitting down facing him. "You'll land on your feet. Only if you were a cat," her eyes twinkled with mirth. Mischievous. @simontroy

Summer smiled toward him a little as he inched his way closer to where she was. He wasn’t scared of heights but his balance wasn’t great. He didn’t need to test that on a roof but Summer insisted on being up here so, so was he. After finding his new spot which was secure enough for him to relax just a little, not enough to feel totally safe but he was used to that uneasy feeling as if late. Summer reached toward him and poked the corner of his mouth making a comment about his smile. Simon kept smiling with a small laugh also. “Thanks, you have a pretty smile too. How are you feeling by the way?” He asked knowing she was physically okay for sometime now. It was the mental part of Summer that hadn’t healed completely since her ordeal and him rescuing her from the Witch Hunters. “If you’re hungry we can go get something to eat later.”
Simon laughed for a moment as Summer giggled out that he was indeed clumsy, it was followed by a moment of concern as she quickly got up and swung her legs around to face him. She enjoyed showing off at times, especially when it was something she was better than him. Summer went on to say he would only land on his feet if he was a cat. “Thanks, I’ll try to think like a cat at least if it happens. Still I’ll just avoid long drops thank you very much. As you should too. Even if I know you’ll land on you’re feet and with grace somehow. Show off.” Simon spoke still with a smile as he teased his sister about showing off for a moment.

He said she had a pretty smile too, and she smiled a little wider at those words. He asked how she was feeling, and she furrowed her brow, cocking her head to the side slightly. ”Fine today. A little sad. That's why up here,” she explained, as if that was the most obvious thing ever. She gestured to the sky as if that was part of the 'up here' she was talking about. ”Always better in the sky,” she added. He suggested food too and she nodded, ”Okay! Egg rolls?” she suggsted. When he laughed, it made her giggle all the more genuine. It was a good sound. He said that he'd try to think like a cat, saying that they both should avoid long drops even if she would land on her feet with grace, just like when she had showed off a moment ago. ”Could always use magic,” she suggested. Since her time at The Lin Song she had found it difficult to want to use magic at all. Plus, her wand was still in the school's possession and they weren't ready for her to get a new one... simon sixten svendsen

Summer took a second before answering his question about how she felt. Frowning for a moment saying she was fine but a little sad, which was part of the reason why she was up on the roof. He couldn’t blame her there, while that had each other there were times just thinking about all that had happened still even made him sad. “Well I guess it’s not all bad being up here if it helps.” Simon explained, if the view helped Summer it was good enough for him. She added that is was always better in the sky, which they weren’t really in but he understood what she was getting at. “Maybe we’ll go to the country side sometime, away from any muggles that might be around. See if you’re up to do some actual flying.” Simon suggested, he didn’t entirely like the idea as it could be dangerous but if being in the sky helped his sister in anyway he was for it. “Sure, sounds good to me,” Simon replied to summers suggestion on dinner.
Simon had a small laugh as summer suggested he use magic to help land if he wasn’t as graceful as her. Which would be his go to response if they weren’t trying to lay low or in a rather muggle part of London. Still he needed to be healthy and safe to keep Summer the same so magic would have to do. He couldn’t afford to be sent to St.Mungos and have no one to look after her. “True, it’s better than the alternative.” Simon shrugged for a moment.

He said it wasn't bad that she was up there, if it was helping her to feel better. He suggested going to the country and her smile bloomed, she nodded at him. "Yes! Flying!" She was positively giddy at the idea. He agreed on egg rolls and she rocked her head from side to side, a smile still on her face. When he laughed as she suggested using magic, she laughed too. She liked his laugh. Better times flashed through her mind when he did that. Then he said magic was better than the alternative and she grimaced a little. "Depends, pain teaches change, not always a bad thing," she suggested. Finally she sighed, moving to press her hand into his shoulder before looking down at the window. "We can go," she said before gracefully making her way off the rooftop. Once she reached the window, halfway inside, she hung onto the frame and leaned out. "Need help?"@simontroy

Simon smiled for a moment as Summer got excited about flying once again. It had been sometime since they had done it and he would be lying if he said he wasn’t excited either. The last time probably being while they were trying to escape back to Europe. “Sounds like a plan.” Simon replied with a small laugh. It was nice to see Summer excited about something. Especially other than being out in this tall buildings roof. Summer explained that pain could teach things as wall and it wasn’t always bad and Simon. “This is true but I already know falling from here would hurt. I don’t need that lesson.”
Summer was the first to move back toward their window as she explained they could go. Simon did the same making his way toward their window. Albeit much slower than Summer had. She turned to ask him if he needed any help. “I got it, I’m just not as fast or as graceful as you up here. Give me a moment.” Simon replied with a smile as he said it in a slightly teasing manner. Making back into their room Simon was relieved to be on solid flat ground. Ground where if he fell would only be a bruise and not a broken bone. “Ready to go eat?”

She was truly excited at the prospect of flying again, it had been so long. "Like dancing in the sky," she muttered, looking up at said sky as she did so. When he responded to her comment about falling, he said that he already knew it would hurt and that he didn't need the lesson. She giggled, shaking her head along with rolling her eyes. "Hurts different every time," she explained. Now she was just teasing him... mostly. They started to head back inside and he said that he needed a moment because he wasn't as graceful as she was. She shook her head, slipping in the window as she waited for him to join. Once he was in, she reached a hand out to take his. "Ready! Always ready for food," she explained. @simontroy (let's say this is the end, and start with them going FLYING!!!)
