Believe it, I see it I know that you can feel it No secrets worth keeping So fool me like I'm dreaming
FEBRUARY 22, 2025 Berenice looked for her sister, finding her making a run for the back room. She quickly moved towards her husband, handing their son to him before turning on her heels and taking off after Priscilla. What kind of son did the Fudge family raise? After all this...he refused? Who did he think he was embarrassing, not only his family but her family as well. Oh, the Rita Skeeter was going to have a field day over this, hell all the Tabloids were. Pushing through to enter the little back that she had seen Prissy disappear into, she could hear the sound of sniffling and quiet sobs. She frowned deeply, growing closer and closer until she caught a glimmer of her younger sister. "Pris?" she questioned softly, as if fearful of being attacked, but also to comfort her distraught sister. She wanted to give the girl a chance to make herself presentable if she so wished. @priscilla

Priscilla had made it into the back room before her tears began to fall. So stunned by how suddenly her marriage had just fallen to pieces before it had even officially begun, she hadn't thought to lock the door behind herself. Everything had been perfect. She and Riley had been perfect together. And then he had gone and ended it all like that, with no regard for her or her feelings or their families… or anyone but himself. It was mortifying, and Priscilla didn't really care what happened to the rest of the party, at that point. There wasn't anything left to celebrate if there wasn't going to be a wedding—or any hope of a relationship between her and Riley.
She couldn't even look at herself in a mirror, and she had been so pleased with her appearance before. It was just as bad as any hope of salvaging the party, she thought, if she could show her face in front of any of those people ever again. She paced back and forth, trying not to get worked up over it—which only led to more tears and then sobs.
"Pris?"
Although she almost yelled at whoever it was to tell them to go away, Priscilla realized that it was the voice of her sister Berenice. Berenice, who had the perfect marriage and children that Priscilla had seen herself having with Riley Fudge someday. And now her older sister had precisely what she didn't. What if she never got married now? What if she ended up a disgrace to her own family just because something had possessed Riley Fudge not to want to do anything with his.
"I hate him," Priscilla wailed, not caring who could hear her. "I hate him!"
